Still no sign of anything here. Midwife tomorrow so gonna have another moan at her about my horrid body cramps and ask if they'll do a sweep at my next appt if nothing has happened by then (I'll be 40+1 at that one). Can't hurt to ask can it. I wish I could cry and really show her how much it's upsetting me and stressing me out but weirdly during this pregnancy I seem to have lost the ability to cry! I did it a couple of times earlier on when I couldn't sleep but now I think my body feels so broken it's shut down, including tear ducts! X

No real signs here either! A few niggles but nothing worth writing home about. I've got the midwife on Thurs at 39+6 (my 40wk appointment) as midwife is only at my GP surgery on a Thursday afternoon. This is the letter they give us advising what happens at each appointment- I assume I'll be offered a sweep? But it does say +/-. What do you think? Xxx

My last appointment was on 40 weeks and they wouldn't give me a sweep because I wasn't officially overdue yet. Next appointment they had was today and I'm now 41 weeks. Really hope it works!!
Yours might be different to mine tho. X

My mw said I can have a sweep at my 41w appointment but not before xx

Think it varies. My appt is 40+2 but offered sweep at home at 40+5 then another at home at 41+1 xx

Will just have to wait and see what midwife says on Thurs. Getting really fed up now so would definitely have one if offered.
Cherry- would love to hear about ftm's who didn't go overdue too! I can't fathom being preggers for another 2 days let alone 2 weeks!!!
Vic- sweeps at home? Do other peoples midwives come and see them at home? I've always had to go to hospital / GP surgery but see on tv / read on here about them coming out to the house! Would love to avoid the drive and have midwife at home! Any excuse to stay as close to the sofa as possible! Haha. Xxx

Yeah Hun, it wasn't like I was given an option, she just said that's what they do! She told me either the sofa or bed and a towel underneath is all I need! It's probably because the midwife I'd only in our village on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, or it might be another midwife who does it. I presumed I'd have to go to the doctors too x

Why do my clothes not stay clean??
Just pulled my "indoor" hoodie off the line, sat down to eat lunch and I need to wash it again, tomato juice and seeds all the way down my sleeve. Yesterday, got home took my jeans off and put lounge pants on and covered myself in orange juice.

Do I just have to eat beige food from now? Lol. X

Well I am still pregnant and all my pains stopped last night around 10 ish fgs still losing brownish blood but that's normal apprently so today ive been on a mission , hoovered mopped washed pegged dusted and I've just taken blinds down to wash I shouldn't be climbing but screw it they need doing lol I have second sweep booked in for tomoro morning nice n early 9.15 be interesting to see if anything has changed from Friday see if it's thinned out more or opened more we shall see , gd luck Annabelle and anyone else that maybe in labour that I've missed xx

Lol jazzy! I have that problem too. Food stains just seem to appear on my clothes. Rarely get through a meal unscathed these days! Should really invest in a bib!

Jojo- fingers crossed your second sweep gets things going and for gods sake woman be careful with the climbing!!!

Hi ladies I'm back from the hospital, it was definitely my waters and all the checks are fine, heartbeat BP, urine etc so now I'm just waiting to see if things progress, if not I've to call tomorrow morning and they'll bring me in for an induction! Oh and cherry yes this is my first so there is hope haha! Xx

Vic sounds promising how exciting hope things get going for you soon. I agree jazzy it's the not knowing I don't really mind when baby comes (within reason) but it's the guessing and not knowing that does my head in! So sounds like Annabelle is next but wonder who will be after that?

Vic, hope this is the start of things for you. My plug didn't cone away until I was in labour, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

Annabelle, if my past experience is anything to go by, you'll go unto labour within 24hrs. Try to push the induction back as far as you can because if your waters have gone, you WILL go into labour naturally very soon. Good luck!

Well ladies, I've just had a curry, albeit a mild one, but worth a go.

Had increased creamy discharge over the last few days, so much that I'm having to change my panty liner almost every time I go to the loo. Today I had something a bit more solid, but doubt it was my plug unless it's coming out in teeny bits lol.

Other than that, nothing of interest going on here. This week is going insanely slow!

Mine came in tiny bits size of finger tip n think rest came out wen I had sweep but I've had quite a bit of brown again after my cleaning mission with added jelly stuff so more plug I think and back ache and just had another tightening with mild pain ,it started around this time yesterday aswel time to get on my ball n do some preying lol , xxx

I have the same problem jazzy! I think it's cos I have more area to drop things on now!!

I'm really bored today. Loads to do but can't be asked to do any of it! Been bouncing on my ball lots and baby feels really low but nothing else to report.

Good luck annabelle - there's hope for all us first timers lol! I've also posted a thread in labour and birth about how far gone peeps were with their first and there's a few early ones which is encouraging xxx

Cherry, I was 39+3 with my first, if you go by scan dates. If you go by menstrual due date, he came at 38+6!

I'm currently 39+1 by scan date, so will be bloody annoyed if baby doesn't make an appearance within the next 48hrs lol! Trust me to be the exception to the "second babies come earlier" rule (and Sally lol!).
