getting quite intense now too i was 3cm when examined at 7 30 this morn do u think i should go in? waters have not gone x

if you are coping ok i would wait a bit longer hun but if you feel you need more help with the pain they i would go

go when u think u need the help

dont hang on til the last minute like i did- i had a home birth but was hanging on until i was "sure" i was in labour

i let myself get to the point where i couldnt use the phone to call the MW out  luckily my boyf was there to do it for me!

good luck! x x x x

If you are coping then stay at home for as long as possible. If your waters have not gone thats ok :) Mine didn't go till my MW gave my bump a gently squeeze and then they gushed out all over our bedroom rug

They sound like they are pretty regular and sticking around so thats a good sign. If your hospital is half an hours drive it might be good to go in sooner rather than later though. If its 10 minutes away I'd wait. Once you are in hospital you could be labouring all night on a ward if not actually close to delivery and I'm a great believer in being at home is more relaxing than being in hospital without someone with you etc.

FWIW even when mine were this close together it was still another 9 hours before LO actually arrived in the world. First labours are generally much slower to progress.

go when you feel ready hunni, i went in from bein only 1, i felt safer there. however i wasnt really taken seriously til i was 3cm which what they class as established labour, i was in alot of pain at 3cm and had pethidine until i could have my epidural so i couldnt of been at home....

Good Luck
