Oh no not the dreaded pox they seem to be doing the rounds again don't they my friends little boy has got shingles poor thing FC no one else gets it, I am trying but I hate beeing useless I'm not one for sitting on my hum and the daily chores are a struggle and I have a house to clean the bathroom specialy is a killer and hoovering the stairs :-/ been to physio got some splints coming from hospital so hopefully they will help with that problem,as for the restless legs only thing I've heard of is either having a banana or some fizzy water forget it's name now they are both meant to help with rl syndrome xx

I'm not sure about a tens machine.. Been reading a brilliant book all about how to have a stress free labour. I can't remember what it's called lol but I'll look tomorrow. Had a bit of a low evening. Oh was going on about how, once I'm on maternity and baby is here, he expects me to do all the housework and cook dinner etc. I know he'll be working so it's fair enough but I just feel like it's a lot of pressure. I said I couldn't guarantee id do everything all the time cos I might have bad days or be tired and he said I needed to sleep when baby sleeps - well how can I when I've gotta make the house spotless. I may be overreacting but I just found it all a bit overwhelming and as usual, he couldn't understand why I was getting upset... He's now snoring his head off.. Another night of not much sleep for me by the looks of it xx

Cherry hun, your OH really needs a good kick up the arse. Considering he's been in this situation before, he really should have a better understanding of how hard life is with a newborn. If he honestly thinks you're getting the easy job, then I suggest you leave him alone with baby for 24hrs and give him a reality check. Parenting is bloody hard work, especially in those early weeks and you really need to be strong together. I can honestly say that if my hubby and I hadn't been as strong a couple as we are, we wouldn't be together now. Having a baby can really test the limits of a relationship,so I hope your OH has what it takes to man up and help you through.

Please don't stress about housework and if your OH insists you keep on top of it then you tell him to do it his damn self. He may be working, but so are you and your job is 24/7 with no holidays or sick pay. xxx

Hope how is Amelie doing? Bet she's into everything now, not long to go at all for you... My lo is still breech (got another scan Thursday to confirm what they want to do) but was measuring a hefty 5lbs 7oz nearly 3 weeks ago so we'll see how mic chunk he/she has put on.

Gemma I hope it's not too late, what hospital are you under?

My DS's nursery had called, they have a case of chicken pox going around, I don't mind my DS catching it but I don't know if it's going to effect me and or baby (especially if he/she arrives when he has the rash if he does get it)

I'm not immune to chicken pox and have had to be on alert as there were 3 cases at my son's nursery about 10 weeks ago.

There is a critical period 7 days before/after birth where if I'm newly infected, baby will develop full-blown pox and not have any immunity from me. It's unlikely I'll contract it then as my son won't be back at nursery until after Easter which limits the incubation time, but I still don't want it lol. It's supposed to be pretty nasty in adults.

If there's a good possibility I've been in touch with someone infected, I'm supposed to go straight to hospital for an urgent immunoglobulin shot. I'm not sure if I would though as apparently it only eases symptoms for me and doesn't prevent baby getting infected.

Morning Ladies, hope you all had a lovely weekend :)

Does anyone have any tips on getting rid of Restless Legs Syndrome or something that helps a little, its starting to really take its tole on me at nights. Sometimes I'm not getting to sleep until around 3 or 4am and since I am still working full time I'm really struggling to get up in the mornings, especially when it gets towards the end of the week and the sleepless nights are catching up on me.

I've had to take my engagement and wedding ring off today, my finger was looking slightly ridiculous and I didn't want to have to get them cut off later on lol. X

Oh, I hate restless leg syndrome! I get it for a couple of hours every night, usually when I wake up to pee about 3am. Staying hydrated is supposed to help along with potassium (hence someone's earlier suggestion to eat bananas).

Sometimes I just have to get up and walk around for a few minutes. I resist doing so, but it's better than spending 2hrs fidgeting in bed.

When I was about 30 weeks, I had his bizarre restless body sensation one night. Literally my whole body felt like it couldn't stay still. Luckily it never happened again, but it was horrible!

So I haven't been on to post here for a couple of days and I've got some reading to do! Haha. I've had a busy couple of days with baking cakes for a local coffee shop, my baby shower and taking my friend's mum to hospital today! I'm exhausted with very dodgy SPD now! Ouch! I've also got a very sharp pain low down in my right side and think I've also just had my first slightly painful Braxton hicks! I've had them for ages but they didn't hurt. Got my 34 wk appointment tomorrow so will let you know how that goes xx

(Reading with the iPad in the bath, pray that I don't drop it!)

Aching like crazy after my oestopath appointment today, don't think being dragged around town by my younger sister afterwards helped. Hoping tomorrow I'll be better I have an all day meeting, try and get a back seat and hope they don't notice me asleep in the corner!
My cold seems to have gone and taken all my energy with it!

There seems to be a lot going around at the moment, we have quite a few shingles patients at the moment that I'm avoiding like the plague! Pox is supposed to be worse in adults hope you ladies manage to avoid them!

I have no experience in restless legs/Brixton hicks yet!

Oh cherry, tell him to hire a cleaner if he's that bothered?! I'm struggling with the cleaning at the moment let alone after baby's here. I'm waiting to see when my nesting phase kicks in - so far no urge to spring clean!

Just been for a cheeky maccy d's. The lady behind the counter said to me "I like your top", thanks I said and I pulled it taught telling her primarni special and she then goes "oh" looking rather sheepish "congratulations too?". I was like yep, due next month! Lol. People just think I have a naturally watermelon shaped belly?? X

Midwife appointment went well today! Have to see her weekly now and if my bile acids reach 14 or over then it'll be discussion of induction! Hopefully they stay at the level they're at now but if they rise I know I'll be in good hands :). Also found out baby's heads engaged, now I know why my back pain has been through the roof!

That's lovely Sprog! :)

Sinead I'm sorry about your bloke's behaviour the other day! I'd be so mad too!

Hope the restless legs get better Ashleigh. Mine are awful again but I don't really have any advice. Definitely try the tonic water, banana and maybe reading before you go to sleep? Maybe something else to focus on? X

Not long now Jojo. Those wrists sound so painful.

34 wk appointment today eek! X

Gd luck at ur app today Vic mines tomoro , I'm gonna speak to mw about doing a swab to check for either thrush or bv or both cos I keep having itchy episodes down there but it's not all the time and I do t have thrush like discharge but with bv it's very symptom less I had it last year and didn't even know I had it n could have had it a while and Mayen that's why I had the mcs cos it can cause it to happen and cause prem labour and it can come back at any point so would like her to organise a test and maybe while there they will test fir strep b save me laying for it lol , I'm also going to speak to her about early induction and what are my chances if getting one at 38 weeks , surely not beeing able to climb stairs and do day to day chores when I have a family is not gd and it's better to induce early I mean 38 weeks is classed as full term anyways , I can but try lol xx

Just been catching up on posts, just not enough hours in the day at the moment. Just 11 days left at work now and having had a wobble about finishing last week, it can't come soon enough now! My boss asked me if I'd like a little party, yes of course I do please!

Having a bit of a carpal tunnel nightmare, pretty much constant now but forcing myself to keep using my hand even though all I can feel is pins and needles. More annoying than painful most of the time (apart from when it keeps me up at night!)

My facebook is https://www.facebook.com/lydia.beesley2 if anyone wants to be friends.

Keep well ladies :)

It's my last week at work this week, finish on friday, I'm handing over to a new girl that starts tomorrow until fri so hopefully the time will go quick :)

Had my 36 week scan this morning, head must be very low down as they were prodding very low to get head measurements and I'm still in pain now from it. They said approx weight at the moment is just under 6lb, so should have a nice chunky monkey :) 3 weeks and 4 days now, so soon!!! Xx

The wall looks great Sproglett :)

Glad you had a good appointment Gemma :)

Thanks for all your tips about restless legs, I had an ok night last night with it as I kept my legs moving for about an hour before bed that way I wasn't just sat in the same position.. it must of worked! as I fell asleep straight away!

If anyone still has some bits and bobs to get there is another Asda Baby Event starting online on 17th April and in store on the 21st :). X

Thanks Ashleigh, also thanks for the heads up on the baby event :-)

Hayley my scan is Thursday, last time baby measured approx 5lbs 7oz, that was 3 weeks ago, I'm gonna have a heffa on my hands lol x

Haha we don't want tiny weeny ones though do we? I was amazed at this scan, could see her opening and closing her eyes!! My new mattress has just been delivered I'm so excited to go to bed tonight. How you enjoying mat leave sprog? Or anyone else that is finished now?? I can't wait, 3 more days and counting! Gonna clean top to bottom next week then hopefully little one will start to think about making an appearance xx

Mat leave is treating me well lol, my 20month old is keeping me out of trouble lol, just wish his room was ready to move him into lol. Can't wait can you tell!
