bloody are useless aren't they! im knackered today made tea when I got home from work, and I was trying to stretch my back using my gym ball as it's been hurting all afternoon asked him to give me a back rub, he didn't move off the sofa "maybe when we go to bed". urgh no, my backs hurting now!
and he's got himself a ticket for a car show 10 days before my due date, didn't mention it to me.

it feels like he's having a midlife crisis before baby comes, he's made some strange purchases recently and hes said "gotta do it whilst I still can", errrr...
big sigh!

anyway I've been in bed half hour keep going dizzy even though im lying down...any tricks on keeping hydrated I think im really struggling with that, can't seem to drink enough! x

I know I def couldn't see you. Think Facebook was trying to tell is something! Lol.
I'm pretty quiet on Facebook I haven't even 'announced' pregnancy in there so it's weird not many people know. I will be adding plenty of photos when baby arrives to show he/she off to the world :-) xx

I take it you aren't lying on your back Hun? I read somewhere that that can make you dizzy, something to do with baby pressing on a blood vessel or something. Just try to drink lots of water or water with juice, I'd sip rather than gulp the lot down (like I sometimes do!) it's difficult sometimes. You could always develop an obsession for ice lollies? Lol sorry to hear you're dizzy whilst lying down, I know how awful and frustrating that is. I haven't had a lie down during the day for years, just makes me feel rough! Though when I'm going to sleep I night I do obviously lol.

Yes, a delayed back rub isn't really that helpful! X

Hey ladies. Happy Friday evening!

Can't believe it is just a few weeks to go now. Where has the time gone??

Hayley and Sprog - yikes 36 weeks tomorrow! We could have our babies this month! Not too soon though. Dunno about you, but I feel fit to burst already. So much to do first !!!

I know!! Exciting! Happy 36 weeks! I'm lying in bed with a very heavy bump tonight, getting some shooting pains down below but baby is have a good wriggle tonight too, movements have been less noticeable past few days so I don't mind tonight. I feel huge and my bumps solid, not comfy. I've left stuff to do for when I'm finished work. Don't wanna get too bored xx

OMG happy 36w girlies!!!! I couldn't be more excited, hoping to get the architrave and skirting on in my DS's room this weekend and finish the painting, move the rad and then just waiting on carpet.... I might beet baby after all. Today marks another big achievement for me, I can't believe I've got to 36w lol, today I stop taking aspirin ready for the arrival of peanut. Only 7 more days and I'll be full term, as long as baby turns and arrives after then and everything seems normal all systems are go for a water birth, after my last birth where nothing went to plan I don't have my hopes up but the dream is there :-) x x

Thanks vic, yeah I'm trying to get a hooked on ice lollies, loving lemon ones!

happy 36 weeks to you guys, one more week till you're fully baked! how exciting! x

Sprog I think u got another 2 weeks left in you, that's my guess! Would be lovely for you to have your water birth. I've not really got a plan with her being my first, just want her out as quick safe and healthy as poss. Keep thinking of things that could be wrong or go wrong, maybe just hormonal, I'm generally very laid back and have been right through.

Mum and dad are gonna go collect my pram etc today so I don't have to wait around for delivery all day, but dunno whether to pop them straight in garage and leave them until next week when I've finished work, or bring them in and have a look today?! Xxx

Congrats Sproglett on getting to 36 weeks! Baby is pretty much cooked, so it must be a huge relief for you to get here. :)

Had my private growth scan this morning. Cord is where it should be, so home birth here I come! Baby has beefed up a bit so pics don't look as clear, but apparently he's about 5lbs now which is fab!

Afterwards we did a bit of baby shopping. Mothercare was a bust, they didn't have anything on my list. Toys R Us was better, got a few bits and bobs including a super bargain - they had a hire package for the TENS machine I was going to buy and it was just £3.97! That's saved me over £40!

I was rather annoyed that I couldn't find crib bedding anywhere, despite both shops selling cribs lol. Will have to be an online purchase....

Nipped into Tesco in the hope of finding an Angelcare monitor for half price, but no such luck. We did try the new scan and shop thing though which was great as the queues at the tills were massive and we just sailed straight through. :D

I was in tesco looking for it too no joy :( seems everyone got that bargain before us :(

Are we not sposed to use crib/cot bumpers and duvets yet ? I havnt bought any crib bedding use the usual sheets and blankets I'm after a nice drape but can't seem to get one without the other bedding , so I may just get the air things for the sides , I only need a baby bath and change mat now will pick them up between now and baby coming lol , 34 weeks today :) baby has been trying to escape through the belly button today lol or that's how it feels anyhow hehe , hope ur all well and have a gd weekend xx

Happy 36 weeks Sprog - how exciting!

Happy 34 weeks Jojo! That's me tomorrow - scary!!! I've heard we shouldn't use little duvets until the baby is a year or something? It's probably less than that! And I've heard that bumpers can be dangerous with the ties and I suppose it's something else to suffocate against when baby can roll?

Wonderful news about baby Suffolkmum & well done with your bargains!

Xx

I'm gonna get the bedding set ready so the cot looks all nice even though he'll be in a Moses basket for a little while! Might get a breathable bumper for when I put him in the cot!

Bought some mat pads today - three for two in boots at the moment. Got 4 packs of the 10 heavy duty ones, and 2 packs of the thin ones! Do you think that I'll need more?

I'm sat here catching up on master chef from the week and drinking a non alcoholic kopperberg, baby Is going absolutely crazy! Must be all the sugar in it! X

Ooh I could just fancy some non alcoholic kopperberg! I love Masterchef! I'm hoping that'll be enough maternity pads for you! ;) I'm not sure how many I might need. I've got a couple of packs x

I only wanted fitted crib sheets lol, I'm not having a bumper or duvet anything. Just couldn't believe I couldn't find a simple fitted sheet in Mothercare or Toys R Us. It was all for cots/cotbeds and moses baskets!

Ended up ordering off Amazon instead. It's probably cheaper anyway lol.

On the plus side, I had a major shopping spree this afternoon and finished buying all my baby stuff online. Hubby's bank decided to pay him back 15yrs of PPI he had been paying without realising, plus interest, and it was a very pleasant surprise.

Ta hun, I've had a good day lol (see post above for why). :)

I think my son was around 14 months when he had a duvet and pillow for the first time. The pillow was a bit of a waste of time lol, he just laid his head next to it.

Wow suffolkmum. Couldn't have come at a better time :) glad everyone's having a good weekend. Baby's currently got the hiccups - weirdest feeling ever! I only felt her do it for the first time at about 3am today. Reassuring cos I was starting to worry I'd never felt it! X

I won't bother with maternity pads this time, I'll just stick with heavy duty sanitary towels lol. I don't know why, but the maternity pads seemed to give off an unpleasant smell. I thought it was me and that I had an infection, but as soon as I moved back to my trusty bodyform, there was no more odour.

I've watched masterchef for the first time this week. Strangely fascinating since I can barely cook an egg lol!

Thanks hun, it certainly was bloody good timing. I was panicking a bit that I wouldn't be able to afford to get everything I needed in time.

Enjoy the hiccups for now. They'll soon be driving you potty when baby has them in the middle of the night! :D
