* * * * * May 2014 Mummies * * * * *

Is it normal for baby to have hiccups quite a lot, they go on for about 5 mins and happen a few times a day!

I haven't thought about snacks will sort that out closer to the time I think, which is gonna be soon and I'm saying that for various jobs haha!

I'm on a day off today could get quite used to it I've made some lovely homemade sweet potato soup and flapjack, last week at work next week then I'm finished on Friday. 36 weeks tomorrow, and time still isn't slowing down!!

Hope everyone's well and has a nice weekend. Collecting they pram and car seat tomorrow :-o xx

Woo hoo for your day off and also for your pram and car seat.

My baby always has hiccups lol and they do tend to go on forever :-) x x

Its true though, we need to locate the loo's wherever we go. I had to stop in at a random Pizza Hut the other week there and ask to use there loo, I was bursting! Luckily they said yes :)

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and enjoy those baby showers girls!

I haven't planned one either and I don't think anyone else has ......... or maybe they have? I don't know lol nothing so far though.

I am going round to my sisters after work ( 1 hour to go) for Chinese and to help her get her hair and makeup done for a night out, normally I would be joining her but a night on the couch is so much more appealing at 8 months pregnant lol! Then tomorrow hubby and I have my 7 year old sister for a sleepover and then on Sunday it will be quality time with hubby as he is going away to the isle of man to work Mon-Fri :( don't know what I will do without him...... hopefully not have a baby lol.

I agree today has went in pretty slow, the week has flown by but today has been dragging.

Enjoy your weekends :)! X

I've been having some strong period-like cramps at the top of my bump this afternoon and also feeling quite nauseous. Better not be an early labour sign lol, he needs to cook a little bit more. Plus I haven't even written my birth plan, let alone packed a bag!

My baby hiccups 2-3 times a day and for a good 10-15 minutes! One of those sessions is usually at about three in the morning lol and it's impossible to try and sleep with.

Funnily enough, he has just started hiccuping right now! :D

Enjoy your weekend too Ashleigh!

Enjoy your quality time on Sunday. I had to laugh at you not having a baby next week - that's definitely an excellent plan for the week! Sorry your hubby is going away though. Don't know what I'd do without mine either!

Have a fab weekend May mummies! Wow - that's next month you know ;) all these early April labour threads are freaking me out lol x

Hope not Hun because that's where I'm currently having mine!!! And ditto to the birth plan! Lol x

I haven't felt hiccups yet- what do they feel like?, I don't feel much at all really - never have, and don't get to see the wild movements of belly moving all over the place :( i have an anterior placenta, so that's why I think, and also being a little overweight to start with, carrying weight around my middle -it's starting to round off a bit now my belly, but will never have a solid bump like I see posted all the time :( xxx

Well if we've both got it, then I doubt it's labour lol. I vaguely remember having similar last time, but not sure when it started. I know I had lots of false labour pains and kept calling hubby home from work early lol.

To me they feel like an annoying muscle twitch lol. They're strongest for me where baby's head is (tucked down by my hip), but I can feel them on any part of his body. I can see my tummy twitch too and hubby loves to put his hand on my bump and have a feel.

I have an anterior placenta too and movements weren't very strong until around 29 weeks. It also really depends where baby is positioned though as sometimes it feels like he's going to burst from my tummy Alien-style and other days he does these soft rolls and I have to pay attention or don't notice them at all.

I think my placenta is quite high now as I don't get kicks to the ribs which is a blessing. :D

Just when I thought I was keeping up with this thread and then I come on to 2 pages!! Lol

So I'm probably still breech then I guess there's still plenty of time to move.

I've got a busy couple of weeks as eater holidays but were going zoo tomorrow as peeps pig is there. Then Sunday having an organising day so hopefully i will get lots done :-)

Hope you have a great day tomorrow at your shower Gemma, I've never had one :-( my friend did ask but I ended up saying well just do a nice lunch out somewhere. Who else is having a baby shower? Xxx

Vic we found each other!! Not sure why we didn't think of that before! Lol xx

I've added you bump buddy!! Have a lovely weekend x

I know! I swear that pic of you was not there when I searched! Weird that I wasn't there either! Lol x

Hope you enjoy your baby showers and weekend plans ladies. I had a baby shower a few weeks back and it was really lovely. Its a nice way to get everyone together before having the baby.

I am going to a friends on Sunday, but she has already had the baby as she had him a few weeks early!

I also get lots of hiccups and agree that its not a reliable indication of position. I felt them around belly button the other day but had a scan Thursday and she is defo head down now.

I had my growth scan yesterday and she is measuring perfectly so that was a relief after a worrying night! X

I had cramp in bump and felt crap on Monday, turned out to be a water infection, had antibiotics since and it's cleared up fine.

Oh glad you all get the same with hiccups, poor little things I hate having them haha xx

I've my last growth scan on tues, consultant appointment isn't until week after though grr! Then got a maternity unit tour that week, so another 3 hospital trips for me before I even go into labour haha xx
