I wouldn't worry too much about not having stuff Cakey, ASDA/Tesco etc are always open if there are essentials you don't have and most shops do next day delivery if you figure out you need something from Mothercare etc xx

Thanks Nonabean, i think I do over worry lol. I know he has essentials like his basket, clothes and nappies but I still can't help thinking he doesn't have enough.

Well, I had my GTT yesterday-along with an extra scan because I am carrying big. Scan was fine! Baby is average and not big However i had a call from my community midwife this morning and I have gestational diabeties, so she has asked me to go and see her this afternoon at 2pm.

I honestly never thought I would have it, thought it would be routine as my last two were big babies and they tested me and it was negative. Ironic, they were big and test was negative, this one is showing average and the test was positive-you just never know!

Cakey, I have hardly any newborn stuff as my first LO was 9lb 4oz, but if I have a small baby this time round my family will just nip round to ASDA, which is 5 minutes from the hospital and pick up the basics for me. Xx

Anyone else in rented? & is your landlord a dick?
Mine is driving ME crazy! Unfortunately he lives next door- but he does 4 months in the UK & 8 abroad. Normally we don't see him when he's back- but while we've been decorating we've come across issues with the house & being the cheapskate he is- he's fixing the problems himself! The French doors in the kitchen broke, so he's refitted them himself- but done it wrong... Apparently the company that sent the door sent him a wonky door (no, the hole in the wall is wonky) he now can't get hold of them as they are shut for xmas period, so he can't fix it until next week. The door is in but the draught is unreal (especially in this weather) great....
He's laid the carpets in the house with no underlay.... So we've told him he needs to get new carpets (which he's agreed too) but rather than one carpet throughout he's suggested that we have different carpets in each room- basically buy offcuts- And he will lay them himself! Again, no underlay, u don't need them with a concrete floor apparently!
There's other bits he needs to do but everything just takes him so long. I keep saying to him you need to get on with it- I've got weeks until this baby is due it needs to be done. He expects us to help him.... Yeh good one 31 weeks pregnant & a man with a completely fudged back!
Im seriously at the end of my tether! I just want to cry right now

GF I really feel for you, the last thing you need is to have to sort out home details especially when you are not responsible. We live in a flat (its not suited to a new baby), we relocated home and signed the contract about a week before we found out I was pregnant and now cant move until feb. Thats been scuppered because the car is having problems, it feels like one thing after another today! I hope the universe is working in mysterious ways to make things better for us all. hugs to you hun xx

After yesterdays crappy day we did some online retail therapy and finally ordered the pram and some other bits and pieces like the bath, changing mat, changing box and things like blankets and bedding. Its all feeling very close and real now!

He is a complete nightmare. I avoid talking to him- but he's always very abrupt and rude to me so I'm very abrupt and rude back. The stupid thing is is that our friends owns a carpet shop (30 years as a fitter, owned the shop 15) and he's told us that it would be cheaper to buy a whole roll than do what our landlord wants to do, but he's wrong apparently. It's all kicked off this morning- he now won't pay for new carpets as I've got my mums 2 chihuahuas here for the day as she's away and apparently in our tennancy agreement it states that we can't have any visitors with pets!! I Popped to the shops earlier and I pulled back into the drive in the car- before I'd even turn the engine off he was tapping on the window. OH went mental at him as he was telling me I needed to do weeding out the front (he'd already asked my partner yesterday) I'm waiting for an email from him terminating our tennancy to be honest!

We would love to move, but with a business and a baby it's just not possible. Plus packing and everything gets left to me & I just can't do it in my state. I hate the house, I hate him- with a passion!

Aww GF that man needs to get a bloody life.. who weeds in the winter. Tell him gettn the house in a fit shape is more a priority now. I bet ucant wait til be buggers off again.


Anyone doing anything nice tonight? We never go out NYE our little madame is still up watchn frozen. Going to take her to bed with us watch the countdown and then move her into her own bed. Want the 3 of us all seeig the new yr in together as it will be the last of it just being us.
