*** march 2015 mummys to be ***

Thanks girls.

Tiggy with my first I had some contractions at around 38 weeks, but they just stopped and didn't came back until I was full term. Maybe it's just one of those things... If they go away then I think it's nothing to worry about? X

Hi ladies! Did everyone enjoy Christmas? I had a nice day, was weird without dad there but nice to be all together at home. It was his birthday yesterday too which was hard but mum and I hit the sales and had a LOT of retail therapy. Bought baby grows and sleep suits so that's hospital clothes all sorted I think! Also got playmat and sheets for mums house, just need a mattress for her cot and we are ready to visit!
Also got myself a nice new coat which I'm hoping will fit after baby arrives!

Anybody seen any great bargains? I can't really get anything else now till new year unless I order online as only have hand luggage...didn't really think that through! Already going to be leaving stuff for mum to bring over I think!

31 weeks tomorrow, down to single digits in the countdown! Scary!!

Welcome ladies that have joined us over Christmas, couple more days and we are all here! They will be starting to arrive soon! Xx

And night wolf, hope you had a lovely first Christmas with Aaron and Riley and things are going well. Keep checking in with us please!

Hi Ladies, well I've managed to bag myself quite a lot in the sales. The nursery is ordered and should be here next week. Just have a few bits and pieces left to go and to sort out things for my hospital bag. How is everyone else getting on? Can't believe I am 30 weeks today! 10 weeks to go. Booking my tour of the hospital next week. Have attached a pic, click on it to make larger - am I looking big for 30 weeks?! Sometimes I look at my bump and think wow it's still quite neat lol other times I'm like woahhh I look huge. Getting very limited to what I have left to wear now :/ xx

Your not big at all! But I know what u mean- this is the biggest I've ever been so sometimes I look at myself and think jheeeeez I'm humungous! Everyone assures me I'm not! See what the midwife measurements are next week! Lol!! Xxx

Thanks ladies :). My next midwife app is on 8th Jan but last one she said i'm measuring normal so that's good. GF91 i saw your pic on bump pics it looks lovely!
TTCno2 my OH has just brought the perfect prep machine on sale. I couldn't believe Amazon has over 400 reviews saying how brilliant it is, so thinking it may be a godsend. I think i have about 5 things for my hospital bag lol. My MW gave me a 2 page list of things/suggested things to take. Seems like a hell of a lot. Are we expected to take a suitcase or something?? xx

When I had my first little one I had a large weekend bag with my hospital things, a small weekend case for baby's things then another bag with snacks/drinks etc for during labour and afterwards.

It seems like a lot, but as long as you only take what's on the list it should cover what you need. I had my LO at 15:14 and got home at tea time the next day. Xx

Yeah I took a suitcase last time... :oooo: this time I migth go for 2/3 smaller bags as Nonabean suggests.

Anyone had any Braxton Hicks yet? I've had a fair few the last couple of days. Me and oh are off to town next week to hopefully get the rest of the baby shopping done and some stuff for my hospital bag witch I really need to start packing :) were all getting so close to meeting our babies :)

Been getting braxton hicks for weeks now, also have to buy stuff for my hospital bag too, I have nothing! have pretty much everything for LO now apart from his clothes which I'm gonna buy once new year is over xxxx

I was really naughty last time and didn't pack my hospital bag until after my due date! luckily Alexander kept me waiting until 40wks + 12. Xx

Whoohooo! I am now joining you all for trimester 3! It was getting lonely over there being one of the last lol. Hope you all had a nice christmas xx

I've asked my OH if we can go shopping for hospital bag stuff too :) it's getting so exciting, I counted how many shifts I have left at work and I think it's around 37? :D xxx

Getting my GTT done in the morning, any of you lovely ladies know what's involved with the procedure and the results??

Totally thought I'd got away with it until I went for my most recent appointment at 28w +3 and midwife was like oh noooooo. I forgot :/ xx

It's quite simple really, they take some bloods, give you a drink, you sit around for 2 hours and they do more bloods. Take a book, and something to eat for afterwards. Results wise I was told no news is good news and results were confirmed at my next midwife appointment but I guess each trust is different.

Good luck! X

I had mine yesterday, its pretty straight forward. Its a pain having to wait for two hours so definitely take something to pass the time :)

Good luck with your GTT Nonabean, im sure it'll be fine :) I have a massive bruise still from the first of the blood tests but I bruise from the slightest thing, and the second one didn't bruise at all. I think even the midwife was surprised lol.
Is anyone else feeling like they don't have everything they need yet? My OH and I have just moved so a lot of our spare cash has gone into that plus Christmas so I haven't been able to buy Oscar much. I think he has all the essentials but I'm still worried that he'll get here and I'll be missing stuff! Xxx
