We have our NCT antenatal classes starting this Tuesday. I am a bit nervous as I don't want to have to stand up and say "hi I'm Rachel bla bla"

How long does each class last for do you know?

I'm due 2nd march and my antenatal classes are 7 &8 February, 9.45 till 2pm so getting it all in 2 days plus tour of unit.

I know some of you have had hip pain for a while now but I'm just joining the party. Woke up at 4 with really bad hip and hardly slept since that ... Any tips? I'm going for a bath shortly but any exercises that help or should I be going to docs for help if it carries on like this?

Rachy: unless you've got your heating on all the time baby will need more than a bodysuit. Wee leggings and a cardi, an outfit or a sleep suit. Like us getting dressed.

Our antenatal classes are 1 hour long, so 4 hours altogether.

Niknaknoo: my midwife suggested using a gym ball and doing figure 8's with my hips. On my way to pick up my gym ball now, so don't know if it works yet xx

So jays gone back to work today after 2 weeks off (wahoo!!) so I was looking forward to a day on my own, lazy morning, but of a pamper before my midwife appt.... But oh no, Jays arranged for our landlord to come round and finish this stupid door. No peace and quiet for me and now I have to cancel my midwife appt too as I can't leave him here on his own!! So pissed off!

Our buggy, carry cot, car seat etc is being delivered Friday and the Moses basket and stand tomorrow.

I can't wait!

When are your deliveries arriving ladies? Or have they been already?xx

My furniture arrived midday today! Still need to get rid of the old furniture though.... Pram we ordered to arrive end of jan. Hoping it will be in to pick up on 30th as mum is coming over that weekend! I can't believe how real it all feels now. 8 weeks to go! X

So I had my diabetes consultant appointment today and feel a bit better but now worried about the insulin. I have refused metformin for many reasons one of them being the side affects which i know I would never cope with as I suffer from an inflamed stomach that comes and goes.

I have to inject myself with insulin before bed for three nights then phone MW with readings and then start day time ones. I'm most worried about having a hypo during the night so not sure if I will sleep well tonight.

I will be induced at 38 weeks, so 10 weeks to go...eeeeek!

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better about it Demaris fingers crossed the insulin injections go okay too.
Had a midwife appt today and was glad when she said I was measuring 28-29 weeks, although I have another massive bruise from my bloods and a lump on my arm too should i be worried that this happened twice now? She really tried to be careful but it's so sore! Xx

Ugh not nice I usually have to go to the venapuncture nurse as i am not good at giving up the blood lol. Compared to the regular MW/Nurses they do such a clean job of getting blood when often the MW will look like she has tried to murder me lol. I think often its them not you

I think I'm easy to get the blood out, im so pale that you can see my veins really clearly lol. I guess I was just worried it was me thanks for the reassurance.

Glad things are being sorted for u, I have a growth scan tomorrow but they are gonna be checking everything, like his heart and stuff, please god all is well. I have my diabetic check up at hospital on Wednesday, I just wanna know what's gonna be happening, was told a consultant would call me, that is meant to be taking me over but no one called me :/ anyway fingers crossed all is well with LO tomorrow xxx

Hey ladies,
Just got back from my maternity tour. Wow it all feels even more so real than it did before! I don't know why I expected to go in to the maternity unit and hear women screaming and babies crying, I heard one baby the whole time. All the facilities look nice and good to know you can have a private room if one is free. Still no idea what to write on my birth plan I really have no idea what type of birth I would like xx

I know some people cannot stand One Born Every Minute, but I watched every episode when I was pregnant with my first LO and it really firmed up in my head what I wanted from my own birth experience.

Have you had antenatal classes yet Sarah? They talk you through different options etc xx

I loved One Born Every Minute, but must admit it's not really helped in my decision making lol.
No antenatal classes yet :/, they said I will have them in Feb but still not received any dates so if I have nothing through by next week I will call them. Seeing my MW Thursday so will ask her if I should have received my letter by now. Maybe I will be a bit more clued up once I've had the classes then as no one has really spoken about the different options to me xx

Had the loveliest day, my friend took me for a spa day and I had mum to be package, basically a full body massage and a mini facial. Was so good I definitely recommend! Will be back to reality with a bump tomorrow, back to work but only for 5 weeks and a day!

Here is my 32 week bump! X
