Yeah to move along the corridor it does seem a bit silly lol I presumed that all mlu were seprate from hospitals.

I'm going to re pack my hospital bag after someone suggested seperating things i will need for labour and things i will need for after xx

Some places the mlu and hospital are different locations, but mine is connected through a set of double doors!

I need to put a few more bits in my bag now given induction is likely, so I'm gonna separate it all too. Make it easier for

Had midwife appt today, head really low despite bum being high, they think he's a long baby. Tried to do sweep, found cervix and could feel head but cervix was too closed to do a proper one. Gutted. Booked in for another go next ties and if not, will be induced on 3 march. Just want my little baby so much now.

Ah Bot sorry they couldnt do a proper sweep! Lets hope the fiddle around helped encourage little one!!

At least you have an end date in sight now - worst case x

My bubba is now weighing 8lb 4oz got sent for a growth scan today they thought I was measuring quite big but everything came back normal got my sweep on friday hope it does something if not I'm booked in to be induced on the 3rd of march if LO decides to stay put for that long heres hoping he gets a wriggle on the little chunk!

if you induced could i still give birth in the birthing centre or would i have to go to the labour ward?? mine is also just cnnected through double doors...im confuzed :/ lol x

You will have to go onto the labour ward because midwives can't give you a drip aswell as other things that's what I was told anyway xx

I've also been told MLU is a no no if you're being induced...

does it not depend on how you're induced. Cos can you not have an induction start with a pessary. xxx

Yup anything but a normal natural delivery will not be done in a MLU. So any kind of induction will be in a hospital - well for the area i am in that is the case.

GEtting annoyed and fed up. lol - contractions seem to have slowed down a bit - not impressed. Think we're gonna need to go for a long walk. REally dont fancy another night of this. xxx

Same here... I h ave been told that I have to go to the delivery suite for induction - but it may be possible to go home for a bit depending on how they try to induce. But the actual induction bit cannot be done in the MLU.

oh deary me lol, i'll just have to wait and see what they say tomorrow, iv got a consultation appointment and a mini scan because babys growth was static, i'll be 39 +5 do you think if alls well with baby she will do a sweep even tho im 2 days shy of 40 week?
