We laid down the law re Xmas a couple of months ago when Xmas got mentioned. I wanted to avoid any kind 'of favouitism' so we decided no one stays in the house when LO is born, they have to B and B, and we are just us for Xmas, my parents are coming up Boxing Day then DH's on the 27th/28th for a few days but again not staying in the house. I am so looking forward to Xmas day with me, DH, bubs, dog and fire bliss!

I cannot wait to see them! I'm so excited for you! I'll only be a day off my due date too so hoping things might start happening here as well! I keep getting teasing symptoms that result in nothing!

Wow you lot talk a lot lol sorry I've not been on here I had a busy old weekend!

Yesterday went to my OHs sisters for lunch, ended up there for about 5 hours playing with her 2 year old and her baby. In the evening OH and I made a rare public appearance in the pub. It was supposed to be his last night out for a while with his best mate but a few other people were there too so I got an invite down there, it was the pub quiz which was good fun, and we won!!! Got home about midnight and oh and I were up till about 2am before we called it a night. He is feeling a little rough right now so I left him in bed whilst I got up lol we are supposed to be going shopping today as its my mums bday tomorrow and he is off work till Wednesday. My uncle who I haven't seen in about 5 years is over for the US so ill be going to see him too.

Your MILs sound a right pain. Fortunately mine lives in Australia. I've never met her but she is coming over for 3 weeks on Xmas day but she seems really nice. Oh is picking her up on xmas day which means he misses xmas dinner but he said if baby isn't here then he isn't leaving so we will have to play it by ear. Ill get Xmas morning with him and the evening anyway so I'm not too fussed. My parents really aren't the fussy type. Our hospital don't take visitors, just 2 birth partners and my mum is totally happy about that lol she said give me a call when he is here and we will come up and say hi. Suits me fine. The less people the better!

Aw that sounds like a fab day hun, I really enjoyed love actually on Sat.

I'm thinking of seeing the new twilight film, although I think at the moment I'd see anything lol just have a real urge to go to the cinema. I think its because I know I won't get a chance for a good while after lo is here. Also trying to decide on popcorn or icecream ooo its a hard life making these tough decisions xx

Ugghh my ex has been sniffing around. He text me the other day as he is now back from Afghanistan and he's heard that I'm pregnant. He text me saying he heard my news and he'd like to offer himself as a friend.

Wtf I don't want to be your friend.

He said he was now in London so I asked him where he was living (so I knew to avoid the area lol) turns out it's the other side of London a place id never heard of and now apparantly he's sayin to my friend and her boyfriend how he wishes he never went away and he wishes how things were different.

I have no interest in hearing from him whatsoever. The thought of it makes me feel rather unwell lol

I haven't mentioned to oh that he got in touch cos I don't see what good it would do, although other than asking him where he lived I've not spoken to him. Do you think I should tell him incase he hears he has been sniffing around from someone else?

Ahh. Newbie! Just tell him that your glad he's back but you've mode on with your life and right now you need to be concentrating on your new family so you'd appreciate it if he left you alone.
I'd tell my OH if it was me.. I'd be pissed off If I knew his ex was sniffing around and he hadn't told me.

Yeah I think I'll tell him but it's just finding the right time to bring it up. Maybe ill do it over lunch or something and just say my friend told me he has been sniffing around. I'm not gonna text him as I have nothing to say to him and he is the sort of person that if I did he would think it means something so I'm not going to add fuel to the fire. I told my friend I've nothing to hide but I wish he'd just leave me alone! He actually makes me feel so sick lol x

Lol xx that was my only worry about having a December baby..... past few yes we've had bad snow but doesn't lookalike its coming for us mancunians this yr x I have probably jinxed it now xx

Newbie, I'd be completely honest with OH explain that the ex got in contact and what he said, what you said etc.
You've not done anything wrong and you won't want anything/one coming between you now xx

I totally agree with Doob Newbie, just be straight with OH. Two of my exs crawled out the woodwork the week before i got married, bizarre coincidences both of them but was upfront with DH as I had nothing to hide and wanted nothing to do with them. especially is he has got friends in volved you don't want him hearing anything that could get twisted!

Hope the snow doesn't become a problem sophs!
