*****December Babies*****

Doobs, hopefully thing won't progress that fast, if you wanted your parents/ sister to take you in I'd go for it, you could be pacing at home for ages til it's time to go in! Worth thinking about, that would do my head in! As you say at least oh stood up for you!

I'm with you on the difficult mil front!

We had our Xmas plans all sorted - Xmas eve film watching with Ella in new pjs at home before bed, Xmas day wake up at home to do pressies then either go to my mum and dads for lunch (my grandma and nan also there) if baby is still cooking or they will all come to ours and cook it here for us if baby has arrived so we can be in our own surroundings, up to Yorkshire on evening of 28th, re-run of Xmas day with in-laws on 29th, brother in laws wedding on 30th and then stay in Yorkshire for a couple of days so they can see baby (assuming he's here by then).

Well mil says to hubby yesterday that they've been invited for Xmas day to his brothers but they don't want to go so they are hoping that baby comes before Xmas so that they have an excuse to come down and visit us and they will cook Xmas dinner here for us.

Wtf?! Excuse me but inviting themselves to come and stay immediately after baby arrives and imposing themselves on us without any regard for the plans we already have!!! I'm fuming! I don't want to fall out with hubby about it either. He did say to them that my mum and dad would be here so I'm hoping that will put them off wanting to come and it was just an off the cuff suggestion but grrrrr!!

that's so annoying!! I think that's rude to assume it's ok to go to anyone on xmas day......parents or not! especially if you have had a baby. the last thing you will want is the in-laws fussing xx

Exactly soph! I want baby here before Xmas but if he's not at least when we go up there they can look after me. If they come here as soon as he's arrived then I feel like I'm hosting them as well as dealing with a new baby!! Plus I know it's hard to plan with the uncertainty of when he will come but now everything is up in the air again for us and my family too and I like to know what's happening. I just think they are selfish!

I've had to slap a ban on everyone. lucky for me OH doesn't want anyone here because I'll need rest and we want time with the baby. my mum will be here a week or so to help but after she goes we won't be having visitors until the end of Feb. it'll stress me out x

Lucky for me I moved 500 miles away from all family! hehe xx

I'm with you on this one! They have no right to be inviting themselves, how rude!

My mum and parents in law got upset when we said we're not going anywhere whether she's here or not. We've planned a quiet christmas just us at our house and we'll see them all at another time when they can come over to us. The day after or something like that. As the only driver I'm not driving anywhere over due on Xmas day and if I've just given birth not driving either. Tbh I was struggling behind the wheel tonight. Bump must have grown so I could hardly fit and with all the terraced streets around here parallel parking wasn't much fun, I was like a learner driver again lol. I think the only exception would be if she arrives within the next week and we have started to know what on earth we're supposed to be doing, then we might go and stay a night at my parents but I don't think that'll happen.

I reckon this year plans will just have to be a bit up in the air lol! Xx

Omg some of your MIL's take the biscuit! I'm hoping I don't have to deal with that as I'd be fuming. Doob your MIL sounds like a right busy body grrr!

Well so much for a final cosy night with OH! I'm in bed feeling so sick so he's tidying the house :(

Ooo no you're stuck Hun. Love snow but fx it doesn't arrive here until after LO's arrived. You'll be able to build a snowman tomorrow-jealous!! :) xx

Aww Hun, not long now. Hopefully you'll feel ok tomorrow xx

Sammy, hope you feel better tomorrow. Sorry you are feeling so sick. Bed and resting is the best place for you. Take care. Xx
Soph, so envious of the snow! But as Doob said, don't want any here until after LO has arrived! Just in case!!
Hope your cramps ease a little for you.
I can't believe some MILs. My in laws are coming down over Xmas but staying at a b&b and not with us as they knew we wouldn't want people staying. I guess I'm very lucky. Sorry some of you are having such a hard time. the last thing you will want are interfering MILs. Hopefully your OHs will say something and make them see sense. Xx

Jealous of your snow,. It's forecasted it here.. But no signs :) how's the cramps lovely?
Sammy, how are you feeling this morning?
My Christmas at the moment is changing on a daily basis.. I'm very lucky that my family live really close so I know I'll see everyone but I have a funny feeling I may be engaged in labour on that day x

Sammy just realised tomorrow is your induction day... Eek! I'm so excited for you x
