Chart Stalkers January 2008

Good idea Claire - at least you get to satisfy the urge without becoming broke in the process.

Well I have a really crampy tummy this morning but I am just spotting still - cant wait to get full AF so I can temp again next month and see if my cycle is back to normal - Been looking at the Agnus Cactus in my bathroom cabinet and trying to decide whether to start using it again when AF is here - Scared myself last time I took it as thats when the bleeding started mid cycle but now I know it had nothing to do with it I wonder if it would help build up a nice safe place for any egg that may come along!!!

I would say take it rom - like you say now you know it wasn't anything to do with the bleeding and if it helps its all good.

I just caved in and paid a cheri22 reading.

CB23, yep, my doctor said exactly the same as ROM's - First Response or ClearBlue (the clinic uses ClearView - we can't work out whether that's the American brand name, or the 'professional' brand name, but it's the same company as ClearBlue, so search for either).

Apparently the problem with the internet strips (which is what the clinic used to use) wasn't spotting a positive - the problem was that the positives turned out to be false. I asked whether that meant there were several chem pgs, and my GP said no, blood tests had shown HCG at 0. They'd had so many i/c BFPs but 0 HCG betas, and also several BFNs but blood tests showing pregnancy, that they had to conclude the strips were flawed. They work fine at around 28dpo, but given we're all testing at around 12dpo, I really don't want the worry. My doctor said if I'm going to use them, don't use them before 21dpo, if my temps are still high and if AF hasn't arrived. Then he laughed, and said 'because then you'll know you're pg anyway and you won't get hung up on what the stick says!' He knows all about the POAS obsession, obviously!

By the way, I just POAS for the hell of it (the things I do for you!), and sure enough, a faint line appeared. I'm on the 4th day of AF, ffs! I've had a faint line on all but 2 of those sticks every time I've tested in the past couple of months - before ov, 3 dpo, 12 dpo, and in the middle of my period, both cycles.

What we need to do is find a source of quality HPTs, buy them in bulk - say 200 of them - then split them up between us/sell them through here. You'd only need 40 of us buying 5 each (and how long do 5 last?!) to be able to do that... hmmmm

Thanks for considering my unusual AF post. I don't have a clue either, so I'm giving up wondering! Just hope it goes soon, I started spotting over a week ago and I'm kind of fed up of it - though I still feel like I'm waiting for it to start properly! Yes, my temps are definitely still post-ov temps, but I'm 99.9% sure that's the cold I've had - the temp shot up the first day of illness, went even higher on the day I felt worst, and is now coming back down again as I recover. Feeling almost normal again now

Ok, I'm unlikely to be back on again till Sunday now. Who's in the 2ww now then? Sookie, Bagpuss, Chrissy, Babydust - anyone else? Will look forward to some stalking when I return  FX for those BFPs!

Odd that you get faint positives Kitty. Did the doc do a blood test for you when you visited? Hmmm will be watching your chart with interest.

Hope that the funeral goes OK

BTW - re buying 200 tests wouldn't it be better with 40 each for five of us

Hi everyone

CB23 my first month is going well. Im taking my temp as soon as my alarm goes off. Im pretty much still sleeping whilst Im doing it, hope that doesnt affect my temps. I am patiently waiting for Ov now. Looking forward to a week of BDing :) Straight after AF I had EWCM for 2 days which was a bit odd, but Ill put that down to AF leaving and hope that wasnt my fertile period for the month. At the moment all is dry down there!
My temps seem pretty up and down, hope this is normal. The first high peak on my chart was taken on the day that I had my interview so I was possibly slightly stressed that day. I didnt get the promotion by the way. Not surprised really!

CB23 - Sorry it looks like AF is going to show up soon. Its good to know that though instead of driving yourself insane with symptom spotting though? This is exactly the reason why I want to chart stalk! Good luck for next month.

Hi and welcome Kaykav  Hope your temps stay up! Good luck!

Chrissy - Your chart is looking really good, I so hope those temps stay up! Another Jan BFP would be amazing!

Bagpuss - Hope your temps stay up too

ROM - Glad everything is getting back to normal for you.

Hi everyone else  Hope your BDing is successful or the 2WW isnt dragging too much.

In other news I have had the most incredibly itchy feet (just the arches) for the last couple of days, I might actually chop them off. I wonder if this has anything to do with me detoxing? I have had itchy ankles and a strange rash too. No idea what this is. My circulation should be better now Im walking every evening. Very annoying.

5 tests would last me about 3 days....... :rotfl: :rotfl:

In fact I bet if I concentrated hard enough I could pee on all 200 in a month!!! :rotfl:

Good on you having a cheri22 prediction. Mine said Jan was a specific date for me so I'm keeping my fx for this month.... although I don't really hold out much hope. with xmas and new year every time me and DH managed to BD we'd usually had quite a few beers before so I rekon his swimmers would have been 75% alchol and would probably have been swimming the wrong way or passed out the minute they were released..... :rotfl:

Hi Guys,

Sorry that this will not be a personlised post! There's too many there now!

Thanks for your input on my chart. I agree with CD26 but feel that the post O temps are so low compared to last cycle. Hopefully it is though. The spike on the Friday could be from stress. The day before I was a mess with apartment dramas. Our landlandy is temperamental and we can't predict what will happen here. But it turned out ok.

My computer was fooling me all along though. Yesterday it died. Dell are coming to resussitate it though (thank god it's still under warranty). So fxed they get here soon!

Anyway, need a break from this forum so DH and I are going to a nearby beach today to relax.

Have a nice day guys. Hope your charts are behaving themselves. Come on chartstalkers BFPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Claire    have a nice glass of something tonight and a large bar of choccie!! x x x x

Sorry AF arrived CB  Big bar of Galaxy for you tonight :D

 to everyone else, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all of you in the 2ww.

ROM, glad to here things are normalising for you :cheer:

Kitty, hope Af sorts itself out for you soon!

:( Sorry to hear that Claire. Really hope next time it happens for you!

Its OK I knew this morning when my temp dropped. I don't know if we're going to try this month or not as we're due to fly to Malta for Valentines weekend and I read somewhere that you shouldn't fly in first tri due to the radiation. Does anyone have any thoughts on that? Anyway I have some wine chilling in the fridge, I was going to be good in January but I feel this weekend and also next Wednesday for my lovely man's birthday won't hurt.

I've also just been good and booked my smear test for Tuesday week.

Mildly  how are you - lets all have some of your baby dust please!

Last time I was pregnant, I asked my Doc about flying as I went to Amserdam. The Doc said it was fine, especially as it was such a short flight, so it should be ok to fly. Of course I miscarried about a week later, but I dont think it had anything to do with the flight.

oh OK thanks Loola - I'll look up the time it takes to fly to Malta compared to Amsterdam!

 sorry af got you claire
im not sure about the flying thing  i flew to spain when i just found out the day b4 that i was pregnant, i had a m/c a few weeks later, but i really dont know if this had anything to do with it, i phoned my midwife b4 i went and she seemed to think it would be ok. i also flew to the canaries when i was 10 weeks with my daughter and had no problems, but i did get crampy pains through the flight, but everything was fine. I also flew to bournemouth which is less than an hour flight when i was about 6 weeks pregnant i had a scan b4 i went and everything was fine but a week later i had a missed m/c.

this has probabally mixed you up more :wall:

personally because of my own experience i will not fly through pregnancy.

Hello

Hope everyone is ok!

I have a quick question! This is my first month looking at my CM in any detail! It has gone through the right stages, and I think it is watery now (it's clear, although there isn't a lot of it. It was def cloudy the last couple of days). Despite that my OPK stick says negative. Is this normal? Or is there something up?
So FF says I am fertile now, but how can I be if OPK says no??!!
I'm confused! :?

Good luck with BDing/ 2ww-ing/ OPKing to all!

You may get quite a few days of watery or EWCM before you get a positive OPK. I get about 4 days.

Thanks Claire!
I love this forum! I mean really - I don't know anyone personally who I could ask about this stuff!
:)

Kmac - I would start BD'ing if I were you. Just in case ov is around the corner.

CB - Sorry your AF is here. It's true, at least with charting we're prepared for AF arriving. Enjoy some choccie and vino. I'm really craving a glass of wine at the mo but resisting.

My birthday is on the 14th.

This site is mentioned on access diagnostics, it's the sister site. They sell the clearview pregnancy tests that Kittys doctor mentioned. Quite pricey though.

http://www.valuemed.co.uk/acatalog/Clea ... Tests.html

I have a stock of ebay cheapies, they worked for me last time. I've got 2 CB digitals and I would probably get first response or clearblue early detections ones as well. Thing is I never need to test early because I have had several days of spotting before my AF the last 2 cycles so I know it's not my month.

 to everybody else.

Kitty, will be thinking of you tomorrow x
