******August 2014 mummies******

Aw kenga, nice to hear from you ;) will give gaviscon a try if not, I have omeprazole in the house and will pop it down if no joy, thanks for the advice :) hope you are ok hun xxx

I'm doing much better thank you hun, back at work too :( we still all chat in the hg thread if you wanna pop by :) xx

Hey Kanga, I didn't realise we were allowed omeprazole :) Happy days I also have some here, will try tonight if I have another bad one. Doesn't kick in for me until around 2am though which is annoying.
Thanks Mummy midwife.. Fingers crossed expectation will lower considerably xx

Aw kanga, so glad you are back at work and coping ok I hope, will pop by def xxxxx

I'm getting there slowly, it is hard work and really hits me 2 days later and that's after just 1 shift. Got 2 shifts this weekend just hope I get through those ok.
Weezy, glad I could help. Omeprazole was a life saver for me last time and reckon I will be on it again this time xx

Agreed- Weezy that is too much hun! Even for someone who isn't pregnant! But to be heavily pregnant with PGP and all that travelling- that's cruel and a ridiculous expectation! Def speak to your line manager!

Love Edinburgh come rain or sun! (Had a week of our honeymoon there in December 2010- there had been loads of snow and it was just magical at Christmas- v special memories for me!)

Thanks for comments re thread- more than happy for someone else to do it if they want to, but I am a pregnancy forum addict so no problem to do it again in tri 3!! ( It was my longest trimester last time so no doubt I will still b there when u r all popping your babies out and starting the 'overdue club' thread also! Lol!) Xxx

:o my doc has stopped my omepazrole told me it's not advised in pregnancy I've been on it for years for a hiatus hernia :/ I will be having words lol

Omg tri3 I didn't think I would get here let alone there :| scary thought but so hope I get there this time xxx

Omg tri3 I didn't think I would get here let alone there :| scary thought but so hope I get there this time xxx

I'm sure it's omeprazole you get in the hospital! Or maybe it's ranatadine. Still I'm sure omeprazole is fine in pregnancy. Silly doctor! Maybe just being cautious or maybe it's to do with the dose? Xx

U have been doing brilliantly!!..... U will get there hun- we are all going to get there together! :-)

Still a way to go til tri3 for me but still wish it was here already, just want to meet her now

I was on omeprazole for 15 odd weeks in my last pregnancy with no problems xx

Glad to hear everyone is feeling a bit better :).
After a mad busy stressful week (I won't bore you ), I went out last nite with my mate to a club, drinking water all night, had a really good time but paying for it today with back ache and leg cramp - all tht dancing ha ha. not liking the fact tht it feels like I have a hangover :(.
Just got to take my fur babies to mums today, and pack our cases ready for the 6am start tomoz. -'I've put my mat notes n the car - just in case :). All I want to do is go sleep tbh lol x

Hope u all have a gd weekend x

Have a good trip hun!..... I always take my notes 'just in case!' Xxx

I am taking Omeprazole, started taking it 8 weeks ago and have been told it is safe.

Mum2b you have done a great job with this thread and would be great if you set up the tri 3 thread...eek, not that long to go now!

Hey girls have any of u suffered with dizziness? Up til now 22 weeks never once had it and all of a sudden I came over really dizzy and faint tonight I had to shut my eyes? We were in a restaurant and it was a bit embarrassing. Is it normal? Xx

I've been like that since 12 ish weeks and the doc and midwife said it's all normal and to not stand or sit to quickly incase I faint. My bp and bloods were fine xxx

Thanks donnah!

Keeptrying- I had horrible dizziness around 20 weeks for a week or two and my bp was low but its settled down loads now! Hopefully will pass soon! Just drink plenty, don't stand up quick and rest with your head down if u feel faint xx

How's everyone's weekend been?? We've been quite busy sorting out Ethan's new room and went and bought a double buggy!! Eek! Definitely made having 2 kiddies seem a lot more real!!..... Still getting v achy back/pelvis by end of day :-/ Hope u r all well and looking forward to Easter? Xx

Thanks lilmiss and mum2b. That erasures me that u both had it it's horrible! Really feel out of control. Have been better today thank goodness wouldn't like that for to long! That's exciting mum2b must make it feel really real now! We went and looked for the first time yesterday and it was a bit overwhelming to be honest! Was just staring at them didn't know what to do lol but we have chosen a silver cross one so just going to wait to order it. With ur firsts did u have a Moses basket or was it a waste of money? Xx

I've had a number of dizzy spells and fainted twice now.. Yuck, BP etc normal can apparently just be 'one of those things' I guaranteed get it if I've done too much exercise, not eaten enough or got too hot- just gotta take it easy :)

Had a lovely weekend with OH's daughter, I'm off tomorrow and working Sat but feel like I need the time to recover :)
Feeling v restless like it's just hut me we've only 3 months to go and gradually I'm able to do less with PGP/SPD.. Feeling the need to start getting stocked up with wipes etc. Considering reusable nappies but need to find out more about them as not yet fully sold!

What's everyone else been upto?? Xx

Keeptrying- We had a moses basket- it was my Hubby's from when he was a baby!! Traditional wicker one, quite big with a stand. MIL got a new mattress made for it and Hubby's aunt made new liners- it was beautiful actually!..... Ethan was 9lb and long- it lasted about 6 weeks!.... I don't really know anyone that's gone straight to cot first......I think babies maybe find a cot a bit big and scary to start off with? And maybe a Moses basket is a bit snugger and more suited to those first few weeks??..... A compromise is a crib I suppose!..... Its hard to know what to do, I just went with what we were offered last time as I didn't have much of a clue and it saved us buying something!

Weezy- glad u had a good weekend!..... I agree- time is creeping on now and I'm going to start stocking up on bits and bobs since we've got all our big stuff sorted now!..... I've been given a load of non disposables this time- not even sure how to use them! Lol! But will give them a go! Gonna buy some disposables too though! Xx
