***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Anna has started smiling and getting excited about things (in this case it is her Lamaze hedgehog lol). It isn't a full smile YET but she certainly is showing happiness and cooing and stuff. So proud!

Jen: Ella has just started testing out her smiling muscles. It's so cute, isn't it? Bet cooing is lovely to hear too!

Jazz: she is just the cutest! A real little lady but still so tiny!

It is amazing! It's so hard when they look grumpy all the time with no smiles but when she does little ones I get so happy lol. She still doesn't really know what it is yet...and sometimes turns it into a weird yawn thing but she was doing the same faces for ages. Me and my mum were standing for Atleast half hour playing with her toys, turning twinkly lights on and making funny noises getting her to smile. By next week hopefully she'll be properly smiling big :D xxx

Tapatalking so I can't see sigs x

How did it go PP...?? Hope little one was ok xx

They were running so late! We didn't go in til gone 12, just come out now.

Her 8 week check up was fine, everything is ok so that's good. Doc's happy with my recovery too so I'm pleased.

Injections were stressful! She cried loads, I cried loads. Just had to cuddle her as nothing else I could do! She seems ok now tho, just got to watch her temp and give calpol if she needs it.

Emotional morning!

Oh and she's 10lb now!

Eva had her jabs today too, ive never heard her cry like that before it was heartbreaking :(
Shes had a bit of a screaming fit this afternoon too, im hoping that was just because she was starving and nothing to do with the injections

Oh poor little Daisy...:-( I am absolutely DREADING J's jabs...I sobbed when he got upset having his heel prick done (the midwife thought I was crazy)...god knows how I am going to cope with seeing him in pain having his injections done! How many jabs is it?!? Please tell me its an all-in-one...

Hope little Daisy is ok - and doesn't suffer with a temp or anything xx

Oh bless her...hope she doesn't suffer with a temperature - lots of mummy cuddles for Eva this afternoon :-) xx

It was one in each thigh :( so she cried after the first one then I had to flip her round and hold her still for another one! Absolutely heartbreaking.

Nurse said its even worse when they're toddlers cos they know what's going on :/

Oh no...poor little mite! I think I am going to see if DH can come with me...not sure I can hold J down, whilst someone inflicts pain on him :-( xx

Petit pois & daisydoo - I hope you little one's are feeling better now, i have no idea how i'm gonna cope with Harrison is having his jabs. He had his heel test last week and was looking at me while i was speaking to him, his little face screwed up so bad when she pricked him, he looked at me like 'why mummy?' I felt so guilty :'(

Well i think we might be in some sort of a routine now when it comes to feeding/sleeping. He's having 3 oz most feeds and sleeping for around 4 hours at a time, even through the night last night! Fingers crossed it continues. His cord finally fell off yesterday, i panicked a little when i saw the gooey stuff underneath. I ended up taking him to midwife to have it checked....it's absolutely fine, she said it's not infected and the goopy stuff is just where the air hasn't gotten to it. She said to wipe it with cooled boiled water and it looks much better today.

Back at the midwives tomorrow for our 10 day check, and also have our first HV appointment. I'm hoping Harrison will have put weight on when weighed tomorrow, at his last check he had lost 30g. She wasn't worried tho and said lots of babies lose weight to begin with, but of course every mummy likes to see them put the weight on...can't wait to see that little line rising has my chunk gets bigger!

I think i am weird - never cried at jabs or heel prick. At our surgery though they do them simultaneously in the thighs which is much better. You might want to request it so its not that stressful.
I will have to postpone the jabs cause DS1 has chicken pox.
Weighed my.monkey today and he is 5,77 kgs which is 12 lb 11,5 oz so tracking his centile for the time being

i never cry either. the only time i really cried was when cam needed a lumbar puncture and i could hear him screaming down the corridor. :'(

Lexi had her jabs last week and has had no side effects yet so hoping she'll be fine Xx

Tapatalking :-D Can't see tickers...

Our LO has the loudest cry I ever heard from a newborn and she gets upset easily. She tried to scream the place down when she got her heal prick done. The MW was actually more upset than me lol. I had to resure her that she hadnt really hurt her that bad as I've seen her get just as upset over a wet nappy, she just has strong opinions and doesnt like being made uncomfortable. Getting her jabs is going to be fun :/
