***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Had a meltdown today tryed on my summer clothes as weather lush and nothing fits:shakehead: came down stairs in tears hubby then took me to Asda and got me some bits bless him. X

Aww hun i did the same thing yesterday. It was a lovely day so thought i'd put a summer dress on....it did not end well :( I felt huge, with my big baggy belly poking out.

I'm going to remain living in my maternity wear until i've lost a little weight. OH said to give myself a break as Harrison is only 4 days old, and i know it takes a long time for body to shrink, but still managed to get upset! Lol

Had a god awful night last night with Harrison :(

He just would not settle and wanted to feed constantly. He was waking up, drinking about an ounce then nodding off, i changed his bum and winded then he drank another oz, winded again then slept for all of half hour before waking and it starting all over again :( A little tired this morning to say the least. But i think we may have figured out what was wrong...touch wood. His teats weren't fast enough for him, so he was tiring himself out before he'd had his fill.

In an experiment i swapped one of his size 1 teats for a size 2. He's still only drinking the 2oz in total but he's a lot more happier. Even got a few cuddles with eyes open today! Then proceeded to fall asleep, happily, in his pram cot carrier.

So i've been to asda to buy some more size 2 teats. I'm hoping we have cracked the problem....but we'll see.

Hey Emma - ahhh, yes I think we can safely say we have all had nights like this! I moved J on to size 2 teats quite quickly and this seemed to help him too. My mum also gave me a good tip - as J can sometimes be a lazy feeder - to put a wet cool flannel on his forehead - not cold, just cool - and this keeps him awake enough to finish off his bottle....more milk in his belly = a longer snooze for him and mum! xxx

Oh my god Chezza i could kiss you and your mum! Lol That's a brilliant idea :)

Were gonna give the new teats ago tonight ( it's oh turn to do night feeds! lol) If no success i'll be giving this a go tomorrow night :)

I know he's only little, bless him and don't expect miracles but by god i'll try anything so i don't have to see him so upset again :(

I am with you on the frumpy bit - nothing fits so living in limited wardrobe and feeling fat.
Hence biggyfit and crunches challenge. I am so overweight now.
I.had to.tickle and stroke Mark in the early days to keep.him awake and stripping him off to his nappy.

I used to tickle Evan's feet in the early days, he very rarely falls asleep at the boob anymore... far too busy drinking like a fish lol!

I managed to dig out a few t-shirts, but can't fit into any trousers yet. It's my enormous tree trunk thighs, the belly is not far off gone now. Odd considering the amount of walking I did during the last few weeks of pregnancy and in the last 3 weeks.

My body is a wreck, lol! I look terrible in everything and i cannot believe how massive my boobs are, they are stopping even maternity clothes fitting properly. Gonna have to get yet another size up bra. I miss my little boobs :( So i have just a handful of clothes that fit and none look any good. Twin pregnancy was not kind to my belly, although it has shrunk considerably, it is like jelly and wrinkley, boooooooooo :(

Yep, if there is one thing I cannot stand looking at, it's my wrinkly jelly belly :-( Cant wait to be given the ok to do some exercise!!! xx

According to Evan I am only good for feeding today lol! He's happy until he's been fed and burped and then starts to cry until I hand him over. Good job I've stopped taking it personally and have enjoyed having a little me time while my mum and dad take over.

It's my birthday tomorrow and very much looking forward to getting a card from Evan :) and hopefully another good night's sleep

Nikki, i had single pregnancies but second one killed my tummy - its still jelly and horrible. I dont like touching it :( My stomach has always been flat pre babies

Oh my god help me!!!

Freddie has been awake since 6pm- fed at 6pm, 8pm and again now at 10pm without going down for a sleep- he's really restless- is this normal? I feel like he's miserable and I don't know why!!!!!

I know the feeling hun. Harrison had a feed at 9pm, took 3 oz and is now supping at another feed! When we try to put him down in between he kicks off. I'm so tired :( lol

Freddie is a little older than Harrison, maybe he's having a growth spurt? Xxxx

Did you have a CS? They take a bit longer to recover from but some women are ready to start exercize pretty quick after a vaginal birth, you dont necessarily have to wait 6 weeks. I saw a video that showed how you can check yourself if you are ready to exercize. I'll see if I can find the link. In a lot of women the muscles in the stomach seperate during pregnancy and you have to be careful about exercising until they join up again because you can damage them. Its pretty easy to check yourself if there is a gap, once the gap is small enough (and you are not bleeding heavily any more or anything like that) you are good to go. The midwife said I didnt have much of a gap at 2 weeks so could start thinking about exercise when I wanted.

Mine is all squashy and stretch marky :( can't wait to go swimming and to some classes or something. Already walking lots which is helping generally but it ain't gonna tackle this gut!! Lol. Got postnatal check on Tues so after that I'm on it hopefully. Pregnancy is hard on the figure!

And then this happens and You remember it's all totally worth it

Hey Bunny, yes, I had an emer c sect after a long failed vb. My HV is very much old school and isn't keen for me to do much at the moment at all. I think that if I am healing well and feel that I am able to do gentle exercise, then I probably can? If you find that link, please post it!

Thank you xx

Not had mine yet, not sure when's normal. Think it depends whether you're breast feeding or not?
