***April & May Mummy & Baby***

So the other night Evan slept like a dream, woke up just the 3 times and went to sleep like a dream. I on the other hand couldn't sleep for whatever reason.

Last night he was out like a dream at 10pm, then woke every 1.5-2 hours for a feed and then a play! Little monkey did not undertstand that mummy is now a zombie. FX for a reasonable night tonight as I'm off to take him for a cranial-sacral therapy thingy tomorrow.

Thank god my mum and dad have been helping out though. Really struggling with the fact I haven't had a decent nights sleep in nearly 6 weeks and I can't deal with Evan's screaming when I'm that tired. I've had to hand him over to someone before I snap on a few occasions and then feel really guilty.

Anyways, welcome new ladies and babies :)

This is such a busy thread right now, its hard to keep up with everyone! Lol!
I am reading all your news, just find it hard to keep up with the conversation ;)

I am far from superwoman, hahahahaha! I will probably burn out in a weeks time, but i am honestly coping fine, i think that when you have twins, you know you have to be more regimented and organised than normal. I think if i had just the one, i would be very different.
I find getting out with the pram and the dog makes the babies doze off, so if i feel pressured by their constant feeding and want them to rest, i just get out of the house for a break :)

OHs work brought us an amazing gift, a big playpen! Its awesome, but i didnt think i would need it for a while. Then today i decided to put them in it, and realised that it is actually a great place to put all the toys, and put them down together so they can interact with each other more. Well, they absolutely loved it! Definately going to be a daily thing now.
Love my bubbas, its just amazing to see how they are 'waking up' now. They have such different personalities already <3

Chezza- can u add me to the thread? Ruby Elisabeth 27/5/13 8lb 2oz thanks hun!

Hope u ladies are all ok and recovering well xx

Mrs Hope I'm so sorry I completely missed your whole labour thread/story as was in hospital!!
Congratulations!! Thank you for being so supportive while I was overdue <3 xxx

It's ok hun! I know u end up out of the loop when you're in hospital lol hope you're ok xx

Bet they love it in there nikki.

We'll we ended up with a lazy day today, should have been at hospital for her hip check and health visitor, at the same time doh!
Cancelled hv then hospital sent me a msg cancelling appt.

So madam has had naked play time I've nearly washed the pots and now were having a feed and a cuddle for a bit. If she has another good nap I've got a black bad full if clothes to sort through that we've been given.

Going to have a good walk this afternoon with the dogs as its cooler today so they can have a good run and I can try and shed some pounds.

I got a call from docs today with resultz from swab they took from my section wound i had to pick up a prescription for more antibiotics been told to stop the ones im on and start new ones straight away and the new ones are massive!!

Sorry for butting in, but are they coamoxyclav? (sp!) I had awful infections after my section, i ended up having 10 lots of antibiotics (in different combinations) and having my "internal" stitches removed as they had become external!! dd is 9wks old today and ive only healed in the last week or so - but the coamoxyclav along with another one cleared it up!

Hello hello! Have just found you ladies!
My baby is now just over a week old. Can't believe how quickly time goes!
Had a few issues to start with breast feeding and my milk took forever to come in, but now we're looking good! She's a right grump in the evenings though and the only trick we've found to calm her down is for OH to hold her and bounce on the exercise ball! I can't do that yet because of my stitches lol!
Anyway, Ella Rose was born on 28th May exactly on her due date weighing 7lbs 3 oz and was 50 cm long.
Would upload a photo but it always tells me they're too big. Can't think how to do them with this baby brain!!

Hello,

Well Olivia had her first jabs yesterday I was dreading it because everyone had said it's horrible but Olivia was great she just let one a little cry when they put the needle in and that was it. Today we been for hour 6 week check even though we are nearly 9 weeks (Our Doc/hv decided not to communicate) she cried all the way through it haha, but yet again I didn't get checked I've not had my stiches (Had to be cut at the birth) looked at since I left hospital, every time I asked they just said as long as they are not hurting its fine even though my first MW said must check them.
To those who have kids already and BF when baby started sleeping longer at night what did you do with your boobs? Olive is now up to 6hrs for her first part of the night but I wake up because my boobs are leaking and rock hard but other than her feeding or sitting for a while to express I'm not sure what to do to settle them when she starts to sleep even longer.

Shinnyshoe, you have one brave little lady.
Your breasts eventually, around 3 months mark they will stop feeling full at all. I just wake up and he feeds from me and its instant relief. You can always hand express a little bit if its too uncomfy

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

Woohoo, Evan slept from 10.30pm to 4.15am! It's a miracle. I could have done a little dance when he woke up! Then he went back to sleep until gone 9 and I had to wake him up. Feel like a human today lol!

That's a bit of a difference Amy!!! Bet you're feeling a million times better!

Yay Amy bet you feel like you could take on the world today :D

Not walked the dogs so waiting for OH to come home and we'll do it together.

I have added you to the first page :-)

Re: photos - are you uploading from a phone? I've always had trouble doing that, so tend to put them on my laptop first and upload from desktop...always seems to work xx

Hooray!! So glad to hear that!

I don't want to jinx anything, but J has been really good these past 3 nights and has slept a minimum of 6 hours - the longest was 7! I was having a pretty good week until he decided to be Mr Cranky pants today lol!

Very glad that you are feeling more human - long may his long sleeps continue! xx

Yes hun that wat im on my wound is nasty really red and got a few dodgy looking bits of skin im hoping this works as its really getting me down now x

I had my first true solo outing today with J (my stitches and tummy have healed nicely, so I can manage carrying the car seat and I was given the ok by my insurance company to drive a little earlier) - hooray! It was an extremely liberating experience and I cant wait to go back out again tmrw! :-)

Ok ladies...so what happens at the 6 week check? I have mine next week and couldn't get in with my normal Dr due to annual leave...bit nervous about seeing someone I am unfamiliar with!

Thanks in advance xx

Had a meltdown today tryed on my summer clothes as weather lush and nothing fits:shakehead: came down stairs in tears hubby then took me to Asda and got me some bits bless him. X

Had a god awful night last night with Harrison :(

He just would not settle and wanted to feed constantly. He was waking up, drinking about an ounce then nodding off, i changed his bum and winded then he drank another oz, winded again then slept for all of half hour before waking and it starting all over again :( A little tired this morning to say the least. But i think we may have figured out what was wrong...touch wood. His teats weren't fast enough for him, so he was tiring himself out before he'd had his fill.

In an experiment i swapped one of his size 1 teats for a size 2. He's still only drinking the 2oz in total but he's a lot more happier. Even got a few cuddles with eyes open today! Then proceeded to fall asleep, happily, in his pram cot carrier.

So i've been to asda to buy some more size 2 teats. I'm hoping we have cracked the problem....but we'll see.
