***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Thank you girls...I've given him an extra oz in his last 2 bottles. He also had a mini HIPP organic raspberry yoghurt after his lunchtime bottle and seemed to really enjoy it. Home made puree will be served shortly...and then we will try an 8oz bottle before bed and see how we go.

Not wanting to jinx anything, but we seem to be having a much better day today...hope all the other babies are behaving today too! xx

I just took E to her second set of jabs. Poor wee thing. She was so happy there and then didn't half scream when they did it. She's sleeping now. Hope she's ok when she wakes up.
I'm just off to purree my pumpkin I roasted in the oven. can't wait to start E on them! I gave her a tiny crust of my toast at lunch and she tried putting it in her mouth.

HV and nursery nurse has been. I very nearly slapped the nursery nurse she started talking about weaning so told her we had started before i could tell her it was the pediatric advised it she jumped down my throat!! 'You shouldn't be weaning yet, he's not old enough, we haven't even told you what he can/can't have blah blah blah' the HV must have seen my face drop and jumped in that he was lactose free and it had been advised to start now. Nursery nurse soon shut up and I couldn't help glaring at her. She took at back seat in the rest of the visit.

After I explained how I was beginning the weaning the HV confirmed I'm doing it exactly right. We weighed him, 17lb 1oz big chunk, she just went over a few basics about weaning so she could say she had done it and that was that!

H has tried sweet potato today, it would seem it was a big hit! He's currently waking from a short nap and doesn't sound happy :/

Xx

PP I think your right she's decided she's outgrown her crib, been talking about moving her for ages but just couldn't do it, looks like madam has made that decision for me.

Did well today, took back a few things that she got bought when she was born to debenhams didn't have receipts so got current price but still got £31 to spend obviously went over that but only spent £2 as mum put the rest too :) got a couple of outfits, new socks and a hat with gloves.

She's only catnapped today and hardly fed and had to be carried round meadowhall as kept getting upset in her buggy really wish I had my new carrier.
I've fed her and popped her in her cot to see if she'll nod off but I doubt it.

Chezza glad jj is having a better day :)

Yoghurt is a hit with us too :D

Wow been absent a few days so much to catch up on.

Chezza so sorry about your friend xx

Well Rian has been a bit off these last few days not sure wats up took us till 1.15am last night to get him to sleep!!

Weaning is going well so far we have had carrot, patsnip, apple, pear and banana all big hits ive introduced porridge for breakfast then he has his puree late afternoon.

Had the biggest fright last night i fell up the stairs holding Rian he was fine i protected him but me not so great i had a oanic attack as i thought i hurt him hubby calmed me down then helped me to the bedroom as couldnt walk. Ive badly bruised my left knee its swollen and sporting a great carpet burn also bruised my left elbow too quite badly :-( i was an emotinal wreck.

Xx

Oh gosh, poor you Shelln I'm always worried about doing things like that. Goad Rian is ok but make sure you look after yourself. Put an ice pack on your knee and keep it elevated

E has been bad from her injections all afternoon/evening, poor little baby. She slept for a couple of hours, but when she's not feeding or sleeping, she's crying. Am feeding her now to try to get her to fall asleep while my dinner gets cold. It's not looking too hopeful at the minute.

Jeeeeez 5th leap is a bugger!!!!

From the moment Rhys got up this morning he cried...the only way he wouldn't cry was if I was holding him! I was trying to get all his stuff ready for OHs mum coming to get him! I then got him home and it has just taken me 2 hours to get him to sleep...2 long hours of which he screamed the place down...I actually want to burst into tears! It was sooo intense! He has developed a new scream and it's horrible! His throat must be killing him after all of that!

Hopefully he will get a good long sleep and feel better:(

Evan has been down since 6 with his snufflebabe on. He's woken twice so far and all he's needed is the dummy back in and a pat on the back.

Spoke to HV earlier as I wanted to find a pnd support group but there is nothing around. She is going to get a support worker from the Surestart centre to do some work with me. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything to keep myself onwards and upwards.

I've found the last few days easier, despite Evan being grumpy all day. It helps that I know he is grumpy cos of his tooth coming through and his cold and not just because he 'hates' me.

Ladies with boys - where are you buying their clothes? I'm preparing for his 6-9 month stash and the selection out there is appalling. Can't find anything I like. Sainsburys used to have an amazing monkey range but that's gone now.

Well I'm nearly the owner of a mondeo, never thought I'd be saying that lol

Shell hugs gun, hope your feeling not quite so beaten up tomorrow, I fell the other morning with Libby, I shit myself but managed to land on my knees and protect her.

She's in her big girl bed again tonight, she fell asleep in her car seat, woke up when we got back and sobbed poor soul did not want to be awake, boob for 5 and in her cot and she's sound asleep.

Fx for a good night as we are up at crack if dawn to take OH to work so we can have the vehicle.

Amy glad your getting support and feeling better hun xxx

Sophie hope e feels better soon x

Sleepy dust for all the babies :)

I've just heard movement down the monitor! Don't wake up baby don't wake up baby

Amy, good to hear you feel better. I quite like H&M stuff and Next sleepsuits (we are in 9-12 atm, hoping it will last a bit longer!)
Asda actually have cute things sometimes for boys but havent been there recently.
Mothercare also have deals on sleelsuits/pyjamas, what are you after?

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

Just some nice tops really. I'm terrible shopping for myself and I'm not a fan of tractors (apparently baby boys love tractors?!). I love the Next sleepsuits but trying to dress him in 'proper' clothes lol. I'd love to find a decent priced soft dungaree set.

I really like H&M, doesnt break the bank either. Boys love tractors and diggers but later on lol.

Chezza he point blank refused it and again tonight. Oh and I went to look at a car so my mum had H for me. He was good as gold and although he refused his bottle he's not screamed with hunger and has only just woke for a feed at about 10:15. I'm going to buy new teats tomorrow but I am wondering if it's because he hasn't had a bottle for ages???

Shell I'm glad Rian is ok but look after yourself.

Amy, Harry is a h&m baby and a tesco one :) x

Baby is starting with a cold again, she woke up when I put her down she cried for a minute then stopped so I'm in bed on here listening to her blowing bubbles down the baby monitor!

Woohoo she's nodded back off now for me too try, see you all at a more reasonable hour

Amy, have you looked in Aldi? They have some really cute and cheap cord dungarees at the moment here and I think the offers are the same in England too as I saw a newspaper article about the running stuff they've got in at the moment.
Rubbish night here. E had a 5.5 hour stretch at the beginning but then woke every couple of hours or less. Hope she wakes up feeling ok as I don't want to miss our baby swimming

Hope you got back to sleep ok V&B. I'm going yo try too!

Morning All!

Yawn...another 04.30am wake up call for us...why oh why does my little monster think this is acceptable! Is there supposed to be some form of sleep regression within 5th LEAP? I didn't think there was.

Amy - I have bought a few things from Next - possibly more than I should have done considering how long they last (!), but the quality of the clothes is second to none quite frankly. They do have some soft dungaree outfits too:
http://www.next.co.uk/search?w=dungarees&af=gender:newbornboys&isort=price

There is a Matalan and H&M nearby, but the selection is rubbish for little ones - so aside from that, I have a House of Fraser, M&S and Monsoon...that type of shop - nothing really suitable for reasonably priced baby clothing. It's a pain in the bum...which is why I have resorted to ordering from Next so much! Joshie is in 9- 12 months now and even now the feet are looking tight around his toes on some of them - I just cant believe it!!!

SG - I really don't know...I would hazard a guess and say it's probably because he hasn't had a bottle for a while...? I don't have any experience of swapping between boob and bottle unfortunately.

Not doing too much today - Waitrose food delivery this morning and then a weigh in this afternoon for LO...see how much my little chunk weighs now! Probably in for a severe telling off for giving Joshie fruit and veggie batons, but I really don't care...!

I bought my first ever slow cooker this week and cant wait to get cracking on a variety of lovely recipes...tonight's dish is steak and ale stew with dumplings :-)

Have a good day ladies!! xxx

I need to feed Libby a bottle everyday for her to take one properly if she doesn't have one for a while it's like I'm trying to poison her lol it's a pain as she won't take formula either so have to try and express which my boobs Areca bit rubbish at.

I got Libby some nice bits from debenhams yesterday not sure what the boys section was like though sorry.

Sat waiting for tk max to open yes I'm sad! But baby has fallen asleep on the way back from dropping oh off at work and I want to see if they have any swim wear in. So don't want yo wake her up to come out again so if I sit here for a bit she gets a good sleep :)
