***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Oh chezza I'm so sorry to hear this. It makes u think about things that little bit more.

Well both myself and jack have had a good old cry tonight. He did not stop crying for about 3 hrs due to this high temp. I think it's his teeth causing it. Well about half an hr ago I just started crying with him. Sometimes gets on top of me and tonight it did. I hope it's a one off for me and not my pnd rearing it's ugly head again. I know we r in for a very bad night. He normally has about 6 or 7 six ounce bottles during the day. But so far today he has taken two and a half!! Poor little mite I just feel helpless. Earlier he seemed to perk right up for about an hr then went back down hill. Hope he's better tomorrow. Xx

Oh no, sorry to hear about this Chezza, just caught up on the thread. Its so unfair and horrible, even regular smears dont always.mean we are safe.

She wouldn't settle anywhere but me oh or our bed put her in her crib and she woke instantly. Sooooooooooo I've put her in her cot! She woke moaned kicked and went back to sleep me I'm wide awake listening! Haven't got her mat on as didn't expect it to work so didn't put it in before I put her down

Not holding out much hope but it is the longest she's settled anywhere that's not me all night.

Hahaha I can barely see for tears of laughter!

"Plunges his knob in a bucket" I've never laughed so hard!!! Lol:lol:

Some one posted this on Facebook earlier! Gave me a right giggle, the fact that the op thinks its normal makes me laugh. What happened to good old baby wipes lol x

Thanks for giving me a giggle when I've been up for an hour with a crying baby!
So annoying. I want to go fir a early run, am meeting with friends for tea at 10 then she's got her jabs in the afternoon.... A good night's sleep would have been nice

I know I shouldn't moan because also sleeps fairly well, but I'm totally sick of seeing 04.30 am and him refusing to go back to sleep. How the hell am I going to cope when I'm back at work soon!!!

Terrified that 4.30 will become 3.30 when the clocks go back shortly :-(

So tired.....

I know how you feel chezza. I do the night time completely on my own as most nights OH goes on the couch when H wake the first time. I've had words with my OH because when I go back to work he'll need to help or I'll be to dead on my feet to work!

Morning all,

Well we still up every he - 2hrs but she went in her cot. She woke up this morning and chattered away to herself like normal so not fazed by it in the slightest.

Chezza fx it doesn't change when the clicks do and he goes back to his normal wake up.

When do the clocks change?

Off to meadowhall with my mum today heading to primani for a few bits whilst I still have weight to lose.

The heatings come on this morning not sure if OH has changed the thermostat but it did feel cooler last night.

Omg. Just... omg. :D

Chezza - I am on Facebook, not that often but would be lovely to see some baby pics. I'm Jessica Richards if anyone wants to add me, pic is of me and 2 others as bridesmaids. :)

Vin - maybe she's ready to go in her cot? We had to move D as she just got too long for the moses, but she slept lovely in there straight away. She now only occasionally wakes up if she's rolled onto her belly by accident! Sensor mat is a god send - had to turn sensitivity down cos alarm went off a couple of times apparently for no reason as she was fine when I ran in there like the wind...I have never been so scared in my life.

We're having a moochy day today, no plans as such but want to get out as it's FINALLY gone chilly here! Winter is my fave :) it's been 23/24 in D's room for ages and last night suddenly it was 19!

I have had times when I just had to cry. Most recent was the night before my best friend's wedding where I was bm, D's teeth must've been killing her cos she woke screaming at 3am (I hadn't really slept before then either as I get anxious) and I had to get her up and rock her. Then after 20mins of screaming OH suddenly wakes up and comes rushing in going 'she's in pain!!'... ummm really?! Goodness I hadn't realised! That was it for me, I was hysterical! Ended up having to bring her in with us and put baby tv on for a bit and she eventually settled, but it had to be on that night! Typical ;)

Hope everyone had ok nights and has lovely days xxx

Just got round to reading this and it gave me a well needed laugh knopk - thanks for posting.

Clocks go back on Sunday 27th October V&B. It will be dark by 16.30pm. I do love the changing seasons, but it was a shock to the system this morning with how cold it is. Had to give in and put my heating on...slippers are out and I had a bowl of porridge for brekkie.

Those ladies who formula feed...how much are your LO's drinking over the course of a day? JJ has 28oz per day as he dropped a bottle a few weeks ago. He drains his bottles every time and am wondering if I need to up his 7oz bottles to 8oz to make up for it...? Any thoughts on this...?

I don't ff chezza but I don't see any harm in putting an extra oz in his bottles.

I expressed and left some milk for oh to give H on Tuesday when I went out for tea. He refused the bottle. I think it's because he hasn't had one for ages and then I also wondered if it was because I was using size 1 teats still. Should I have changed them to size 2's by now???

Thanks SG...might be time to change to size 2's...did H refuse point blank, or did he have a go and get frustrated?? xx

Arghhhh the Gro Egg has gone BLUE :o!!! Time for the heating...

Still got snuffly baby. What have you ladies used for colds?

Counselling was cancelled this morning so having a lazy snuggly day with Evan. He's suddenly discovered he likes cuddles so making the most of it. He's currently in his swing, hoping he'll sleep again. He only woke at half 9 last night for his missed feed and then til half 2, but we were up an hour.

Poor little Evan...hope his cold doesn't linger. I used snufflebabe on JJ every day - popped a bit on his chest, neck and bib - also got a calpol vapour plug in - it really helped him breathe more easily at night. He only had one really bad night during his cold where he wouldn't settle, so administered calpol...only as a last resort though.

Well, I have now been up and awake for just over 6 hours and am feeling it already...it's going to be a challenging day today!! xx

Chezza - I offer a 7oz bottle 5 times a day at the moment but she doesn't always finish them. I'd say on average she has about 29-30oz a day? She's not showing any signs of dropping a bottle yet but when she does I'll offer 8oz at a time I think.

Amy - D has a cold too, we're using snuffle babe and calpol plug in to help clear her nose

xx

Hey chezza H has dropped a bottle he use to go every 3 hours between feeds but now goes every 4-4.5 hours so we miss a bottle in the day. H will drink any where between 4-6.5oz, all depends on the feed before. If he has a good 6+oz feed the next one he might only take 4oz....he likes to make things complicated lol but all his bottles contain 7oz, just so I don't have to mess about guessing how much he might drink lol

Any how in regards to upping the feeds, yes I would up it an oz. I tend to up the amount if he drinks dry his bottles over 48 hours, not that H has done this in a while! Lol

Xxx
