***April & May Mummy & Baby***

I too have a very grumpy madam. The last two days have been a nightmare. After finally changing her milk to the anti reflux and seeing a huge improvement and the sleeping being brill we've had a bad couple of nights. Think it's a mixture of all sorts of things. Got jabs today so know we're in for a rough one!! x

Rians a grump today think its a mixture of teeth and heat as been very warm thesevlast few days. Hes currently naked on the floor having a chat lol.

I would lovd to take him swimming but im worried the water will affect his skin as its very bad at ths moment x

Well I've been to get H weighed today and he's a very comfortable weight of 14lb 15oz!! Lol however is growth is slowing down a lot (honestly) he shot up to over the 91st percentile but is now sitting just above the 75th which is where he was at birth.

We also picked up the time table for the baby and parent classes. We're going to be doing rhyme time, baby yoga, massage and swimming. It works out well have something to do each day in the week apart from Wednesday....that may have to be our pj day :D classes don't start til the 16th though, so going to have to find something to occupy ourselves til then.

Chezza when it comes to weaning how do you start? Do you give the spoon of food before, after or between bottles? I have already weaned 1 child but it was so long ago I can't remember how I went about it! Lol

Hey Emma :-) I give JJ 2oz of warm milk, then his portion of rice (mixed with formula), then the remainder of his milk xx

Chezza - is JJ enjoying the baby rice? I'm still holding fire on weaning for as long as I can. I want to get his acid/sick issue sorted first and I'm still enjoying bf him and he seems to be content on it for now xx

I'm holding off weaning at the minute even though everyone keeps telling me too.

I've bought a blw book today for me to have a read up and then see what to do.

Bought a dress! Whoooop still a size 14 though boooo!

Amy - he absolutely loves it, starts yelling when he sees the spoon and opens his mouth really wide lol - and I have finally managed to fill him up and not have him cry for more! I have cut the oz he is having in his other bottles throughout the day...still trying to find the right balance.

If it is reflux that Evan is suffering from, I'm sure I've read that "solids" are easier to keep down? I'm not 100% on that hough. To be honest, I wouldn't have weaned so early if JJ was content with just having milk. But he would take 11oz for his bedtime bottle and still be wanting more.

Hooray - well done for finding a dress V&B. Don't boooo a size 14...I'd love to get into a size 14 lol...still way off that with a huge blubbery belly :-( You'll look fab in it! xx

Amy have you spoke to the GP about reflux? Thinking about what you've said it sounds a lot like one of friends little boys was. Go and kick up a fuss and don't take no for an answer!

Chezza I know it's not bad, I did get into a 12 was over the moon but the one 12 that fitted was far to short. Thanks hun.

Baby is just getting her jammies on then it's off up the wooden hill for her.

Speaking to the doc tomorrow. Actually got an appointment with my normal doc who I saw about PND. I think I'll just write a long list of everything. I've noticed he is fussing more on some feeds and arching his back.

Knockout boob failed to work completely tonight, we had a minor crying/fighting match but mummy won after 10 minutes. I'm guessing he'll be awake in about 45 mins and then an hour after that if his schedule holds lol! As long as he doesn't wake up screaming I'm quite happy to do the night feeds.

On the whole today has been a lot better. Only 3 outfit changes due to sick and I've stayed in the same outift all day - result! He has only had one 10 min nap and one 45 minute nap today. I've decided to stop stressing about it. If he doesn't want to nap and he's not screaming then we'll keep going until he does (scream that is lol!). Oh the joys of mummying.

Ha ha guess who just started crying. It's like he knew what I was typing and decided to spite me! DH has popped in to try the dummy...

In sure they have mini screens and know what we are putting!

In bed feeding madam.

I know my friend got fobbed off until he was about 5 months old.

Half an hour later still not settled. He will start to nod off and then jolt himself awake again. He wanted to feed but didn't want to feed, wanted to be cuddled but then fought against it. DH is now trying to strum him to sleep with the guitar. Doesn't sound hopeful yet...

Called in the reinforcements. My dad failed and now my mum is singing to him and it's sounding quiet.

By the time he's down it will be bedtime for me, which will have given me a total of 45 minutes of me time today. That sucks :(

I know you will scream at me but it will pass before you know it. They are little for such a short time.
I have resorted to teething gel today, i think he stopped chewing his hands so much. Poor Sophie was getting her face chewed off today, thankfully he can now hold it himself how he likes it and chew the bits he likes.
Oh and he is launching towards my banana little monkey. I am holding off too as he isnt ready yet

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

He's rallied and is now really screaming. No-one can console him, or at least not for long enough. I'm feeling ok considering, I just want my baby to stop screaming.

I sometimes have to rock/feed at the same time whilst he fights me. Overtired babies are not fun

He's gone. Finally. I am exhausted. He fell asleep on my chest once he had exhausted himself.

He has been feeding more in the evenings recently, but didn't have a proper feed after bathtime. I tried to feed another 2 times but he was fussing too much and taking in too much air. He'll be up by 1am for a feed. I don't mind feeding in the night as he normally goes straight back to sleep after. As long as there's no screaming. Fx

Oh bless you Amy, I'm not sure I'd have been able to cope with such a screaming fit/struggle of wills! So well done for not pulling your hair out and crying in the corner, which is where I would have been lol

I've been fairly lucky tonight in that H settled himself. He was wide awake both me and OH looked at each other and said not a chance, but the clever little mite played with is blanket (he likes to rub it on his face lol) watched his mobile go round for 10 mins and promptly fell asleep! I'm expecting an early wake up call mind as he only drank 4oz, I think he's still feeling a bit bunged up/full from not pooping.

So I'm enjoying a fosters radler (fosters cut with cloudy lemonade, yummy and only 2%) gonna watch breaking bad then of up to bed. Hope you all have a settled night and fx for sleepy babies :D xxx

OMG! I've literally had to put Ella on my boob as they got too sore! Fed her at 6:30pm, then went out with OH for dinner as the in-laws are staying. Had a lovely time but were back in time for her feed at 9:30pm. She was asleep in her pram when we got back. She didn't wake, not even when we carried her upstairs & got her ready for bed! I woke up at 4am with rock hard boobs, so lifted her over to me for a dream feed. Can't believe she went 10 hours & would have gone longer!

Hope Evan was good for you after he finally fell asleep, Amy.

wonder when E will wake again for me?!
