***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Hey ladies, sorry been run off my feet the last couple of days!
My two have started being grizzly like everyone elses bubbas it Would seem, having a quick read through of what ive missed.
Teething def to blame with santiago, poor mite. I found teething gel and he loves it, but it doesnt seem to stop all the discomfort. So ive had to give him the odd dose of paracetamol :(
I envisage two teething babies at once and i am scared, lol!
Been and brought real baby clothes today now the weather is not ridiculous, although its still hitting 30 degrees most days. Ive had great fun being able to dress up both sexes! I could buy the whole shop sometimes :) might get a bit more wear out of clothes now they arent growing so fast. Theyve been in vests for weeks now.

Oh Nikki I can imagine your dreading the babies teething together, so would I.

I could be wrong but I'm sure H is teething, everything he gets his hands on goes in his mouth, he dribbles like crazy and shoves his hands/fingers so far into his mouth he makes himself sick!

Well it's been one of those days today, I've had my son and his half brother. Now I don't usually talk bad of children but jeez he's so rude! He has no volume control, no manners and is blatantly awkward. They wanted to go to the duck park which is about a half hour walk away obviously my answer was no as there only 10 and 8 years. But I did tell them they could go to the park at the back of our house ( you can see the park from our bedroom window) but the boy refused even though there the exact same park apart from the ducks! So his brother spent most of the day playing on his mobile! Argh! They have now gone to there dads so I'm free to put my feet up and have snuggles with my little one. Then tomorrow were going to the cinema with my big lad :D

My doc called and asked me to take Evan in but it was going to be with another doc. I mentioned I was really struggling but nothing more was said.

Got to docs for 5.50 and was busy. 20 mins later I heard a rumble... yep Evan had the most almighty poop ever. Took him to get changed, lifted him out of the car seat and it was everywhere. I just cried. I cleaned him up but had no second outfit (stupid mummy it's only half an hour who needs a change of clothes in that time). It's a good job I always bring a couple of muslins. One to put in the car seat and one for his dignity. Good job it was hot in there.

My normal doc saw me waiting and told me to book an appointment with her if I needed so felt less forgotten.

Evan had a full check up and was on his best behaviour (to make mummy look like a nutcase). She thinks it's reflux so have some infant Gaviscon to try. I told her how I was feeling and she said to see my normal doc but that I'm doing a great job.

Evan is now asleep in the car seat and I'm starving. My mum is cooking for me though so I can relax for a short while...

Oh bless you Amy!! Evan is a little monkey isn't he :-) I've had one exploding poo in public and I stood there thinking 'where the hell do I start??'!!

How long does it take for infant gaviscon to work?? Hope this is what Evan needs!! I have EVERYTHING crossed for you xxx

Those babies are cheeky! Having been caught out once, i never leave without a spare sleepsuit. Infant gaviscon is a pain to administer though but they can prescribe normal one in low dose. Hope it works for you.

Infant gaviscon works pretty much after the first few bottles, it works by thickening the milk which stops it coming back up and bringing the acid with it.

Your probably already doing this so apologises if I'm repeating what your already practising. After each feed try and keep him upright for 30 mins and have his cot on a slant. It should help in stopping the milk/acid from coming up.

Fx this is the problem and the gaviscon fixes it :)

Missed that too, happy 4 months lil(big) man!
Emma, Amy will have to mix it with water/give off spoon, its such a pain.in the bum.
Decided to measure my lil man and he is about 71 cm? I think i am doing it wrong cause he surely cant be that long?

Thanks V&B & knopk :-)

Knopk - I had JJ measured at a drop in clinic last Friday - at 4 months the "average length for a boy" is 67cm and JJ came out at 74cm! They don't tend to measure unless you ask. I'm plotting his length in my little red book - daddy is 6ft 4ins...so we are thinking he could turn out to be quite a biggun! xx

He could well be 72 as santiago is 64 already and he is younger and born at 37 weeks ;)

Battle for me tonight, took 3 sessions on the boob each! I lay on my bed and have one either side, i was going back and fro to each one resettling! Its taken me an hour :(

Sleepy dust to all babies xxx

Yay exciting Nikki :)

She's down I had a bit of battle, messed with boob going from one to the other getting a bit irate so gave her a cuddle and popped her in her crib, after 10 mins she started shouting then fed to sleep been down for 30 mins.

Tmi warning
Tummy really aches now and getting a bit of bloody discharge.
Hopefully a nice walk tomorrow again and a lazy pj day for us.

Happy 4 months JJ wheres the time going our babies are growing up to fast :-( xx

Another screaming fit before exhausting himself on me. He is physically fighting me and I have to hold him so tight against me. I'm against CIO but I can't see how holding him when he is not being consoled is any better. It's hard not to get angry at him when he is pinching and scratching my neck and leaving marks. My poor baby :(

Going through a lot with Eliza at the moment so not been on here but thought I would up date with a few pictures

I feel terrified of the 4 month sleep regression period :(

You ladies all deserve medals for your patience with the whole not settling thing.

I feel so lucky that H is fairly good at self settling. He went to bed at 9.10 this evening and was fast asleep by 9.30 without the need for me to go running upstairs. He's had a fairly rough day today and hasn't drank a full bottle all day so i expect an early wake up call again.

On a happier note H giggled again today :D i had him naked on the bed ready for bath, and was kissing his belly. He was squealing and giggling so much it was amazing to hear :D

she is gorgeous!! Her eyes are beautiful, enough to melt hearts!

I'm not sure what is going on with your little one but i hope she gets better soon xxxx

Argh help!!

Anna is 14 weeks. On Monday we changed her to number 3 teats and started her on 1 bowl of baby rice a day. Since then she has screamed everyday!! I think it may be constipation as she hasn't really gone properly since then. She hardly burps or farts now where usually she did all the time :/
She goes all straight legged too when crying. I don't think I can do another day of it this week...I'm ready to start tearing my hair out!

Is this normal for when you wean and any tips??

Ill try anything!!!!!!
