All these early April babies is quite scary!
I don't finish Uni until next Friday so hopefully baby will stay put until then. Starting to get really frustrated with the OH at the moment. 5 and a half weeks until due date and he is no where near close to finishing any of his Uni work. He just sits and plays games all day. He doesn't have any sense of time and I'm so worried with all these early arrivals that I'll be left with a newborn on my own while he's still up in Derby finishing his coursework. He's also been offered an assessment day for a graduate job which would be perfect for us to support baby and get our own house but he needs at least a 2:1 for the job. If he doesn't start working hard with his Uni then he'll never get the grades for the job! I just wish that he would make an effort

that sounds really frustrating lizzii, i'm sure men just don't really get it, maybe it just doesn't seem real to them as not much changes until the baby is actually here?! have you tried telling him you're getting worried?

Woke up woth headache again. Ollies been up since 5 so we decided to just lie im bed for an hour or so.
Now we're downstairs and it looks like he is falling back to sleep.
I'll be glad if I can get a nap in somewhere today.
Hope things have progressed naturally for aimee its all go this month aint it for us April mommies x

I'm slightly concerned about reduced movement at the moment, I think I'm going to have to try and find time to lie down and monitor them properly.

Try and take half an hour to drink something cold/fizzy and lie down on your left. If baby isn't moving enough its always worth getting checked! Xx

Hiya ladies thought I'd give u a quick update. No news yet baby seems to have decided it now wants to stay put so not really progressing, so frustrating! Going bk on monitor soon and doctor will b round later to discuss nxt step. Crazy I know but I just want contractions to ramp up at least I'll know things are happening then! Hope ur all doing ok X

I think I do need words, I do try and encourage him to do some work but I think that makes him want to do that opposite!

Eurghhhhhhhh woke up with a sore throat
Just couldn't sleep properly at all last night kept waking up tried to get comfy and I just couldn't.
Been having very painful braxton hicks the last couple of days.
Think ill end up falling to sleep on the settee at some point today. Plus side consultant tomorrow hopefully a definite answer as to if he will induce me early or not.
Had to take some paracetamol yesterday at ohs dads even though I didn't want to but the headache I had and still have now was horrible. The fact I could see the spots on and off all day just makes me realise that more than likely the pre-eclampsia is just gonna get worse. Xx

Woo I got a long lie this morning instead of bump waking me up at 5.45 I slept until 7! It wasn't that long ago I was just getting to bed at 5.45 on a Sunday morning but can honestly say I don't miss it at all.

Fingers crossed things have progressed well for Aimee and we have another April baby on the front page soon.

I thought we had made some progress with baby starting to turn last night, the head seemed to have shifted towards the top centre of my bump but they are back nestled under my ribs this morning.

I did an online shop last night getting a few boxes of beers and bottles of wine for visitors once baby is here, my OH thinks I'm being too kind and people might stay longer than we really want them too if we start giving them alcohol but I just thought it was nice to give them an option to toast the baby. What do you think?

Thankyou ladies!!! Kind of pooping myself!!! I don't go in untill 8pm so have all day to try and remain calm and keep myself relaxed. Labour isn't what am really worried about although this is my first and I really don't know what to expect it's after she has been delivered am scared about. Definitely told me will need blood transfusion once she is out and my consultant will prepare for worse case sernario so they are prepared just incase although worse case might not happen they will be prepared....I didn't ask what worse case was I was too scared lol I just nodded....all said though I remain positive and hope I go in at 8pm and I have sneezed her out by 10.30pm....with no further problems xxx

My induction took forever but I hope yours is a lot faster! I'd have hated waiting that long but make the most of your final day of baby-free life What are you going to do with yourself?

I have nothing planned just relax beautiful day here so just going to potter around check over my bag sort little one a bag out probably should of done that already but haven't :-/ maybe have some nice food when other half returns from the football today....the last supper as a 2 lol I am excited but think I have all kinds of emotions going on. I am praying to the labour induction gods it's quick an easy aaaaachew....there she is bottom of the bed perfect!!! Lol wishfully thinking xx hope all you ladies are feeling better today April mums have had a right rough time x

Ive got consultant appointment tomorrow so will be talkin to him about it im 35 weeks today so 5 weeks left but hoping that he tells me he wont let me go over the 37 week mark with the risk of pre-eclampsia getting worse.
Was told by midwife and doctors on Tuesday not to get the blood pressure tablets as they said my BP wasn't overly high and was okay so wouldn't need them. So I didnt go to the pharmacy to get them.
So im starting to think I should of gotten them.
Ive got the first appointment of the afternoon tomorrow so should be seen pretty quickly.

Wish I could have a decent nights sleep and be able to sleep through and not wake up with pain or not being uncomfortable or needing the loo lol.

Good luck emmaxc!!! Hope ur induction is as quick and straight forward as what mine were the pessary took 24 hours to work but after that they broke my waters and Lilly was born an hour and half later and then with Ollie the gel took 2 hours to kick in with contractions and an hour and 15 mins later he was born

Still nothing from me, my fall definitely set me back. She's back down there now but no other symptoms. My throat is suddenly red raw, my wisdom tooth is playing up, have dodgy tummy, feet are actually painfully swollen but no show/waters/contractions! Getting very impatient now and set a new record for my family as they first woman to reach 38 weeks. 38+1 where is this baby! lol
