It just helps clear your chest etc Chazabell! I can't put the Vicks on my chest because of my asthma (something about opening your airways too much )

Ive heard of putting vicks on feet but never actually done it.
Ollies woke up with a chesty cough and what looks like conjunctivitis in both eyes but it doesnt look too bad just yet.
In such a cba mood today but need to get ready to go get the bus to the town to get my bloods done x

Good gravy, I feel terrible! Definitely getting an idea of how my toddler has felt recently. The coughing has accentuated the sore throat, my ears are fuzzy, my head has a dull ache ... infact my whole body has a dull ache, and I have a runny nose. Goodness me. This isn't very funny!

Need a bit of a rant this morning - just been on the phone to the doctors. Phoned them earlier in the week to ask about extending my sick note (off cos of SPD) and got told I'd need an appointment with the GP. So phoned today, couldn't get through for ages, finally got a call back to be told there were no appointments today except emergency, and that I could have one for next week, explained I'd need it on Monday as it's for a sick not, to which she replied that there was NO need to see a GP for a sick note, just phone on the day it runs out and they will pass it to the GPs who will phone if they need to see me!!! Really wish there was some kind of bloody consistency with what they do at this surgery! Grrrrrrrrrr!

It doesnt seem to be bothering him too much yet.
My doctors are the same emma. They are useless. When ur ill and phone for an appointment they tell you that they cant get you in and then offer you an appointment for the week after ur more than likely will be better by then. And they close from 12 til half 2 which is ridiculous. If I could id change docs but its too late in my pregnancy now and dont fancy having to fill in Loadsa paperwork x

GP Surgeries are generally pretty useless! I hope your sick leave gets extended eventually!

I've just been sick because of this virus, I'm very ready to start feeling human... and I've only had it for a day! I need bedrest, since there isn't much else a pregnant woman can do about a head cold/cough, but it's impossible. I barely sleep at night because I feel so rubbish and mum also has a head cold and said she'll come over if it's a 'team effort', but selfishly, I just want to go to bed for an hour or two and try and catch up on some much needed sleep.

Morning everyone, another reasonable nights sleep although had to get up twice for loo...think thats pregnancy not cough related tho. Tried vicks on chest the other day works wonders but stains clothes!ake sure to only use scruffy tops as now have one of my new breastfeeding tops stained! Never heard of vicks on feet shall have to try sometime. Sounds like everyon's docs r annoyin..mine is ok but they have changed tactics. When I went in with cough she asked me to diagnose myself which was strange.

Braxtonbhicks..wat joys..I now get them 3-4 x per wk but thats cos she likes to set them off with a particularly tricky roll or kick...I've started tracking them for curiosity n were fortnightly when was 26wks now every few days. Got a 4d scan tomoz...cant wait to c her again. ..in no doubt she's gone bak to either sidelying or bak to bak due to my cold but will spend a fair amount of tine on hands n knees today see what luck I get...

I'm not sure if I get braxton hicks, my bump is generally solid, im. Not sure there's another 9 weeks of stretching in it and at times part of it get harder but I just assume it's part of baby. I'm so clueless it's unreal. The past few days I've noticed an increase in discharge - there is no smell, blood or anything so unsure if it's discharge or part of the plug (I didn't even know you lost the plug before your show in labour!). Really learning so much from you ladies and glad I found this forum.

Had some right horrible back pain to the right side early last night til bout half 10/11 also been having an achy pain at the top of my bump im not sure what's caused this :/
Had headache for nearly a week now as well which is really annoying. Cant seem to shift it either. On the plus side ive got Lil miss bag packed for the hospital now just to get mine done shouldnt take too long to get done hopefully. Im going to be ordering from offline most of it like the pj's and leggings and tops. Ill be glad when its all done I keep thinking im not going to make it to my due date.

Hi emma bless ya back pain no good or headaches...hope it gets better soon. look on line for yoga maternity as found an ace pair of loose fitting cotton pants with the bump band. Prefer it to tight leggings. Also got some maternity pjs off ebay which were suitable for breastfeeding n have a kind of dressing gown made out of same material takes less space up in bag...oh n for tops if ur planning on breastfeeding buy from purpless trading on ebay approx £7-12 per top have 8 of them now fit fab during pregnancy n ideal for breastfeeding access. I love them so much that will wear them even if bottle feed...ill try n get the links for you...

Just waiting for new hospital bag to be delivered today hopefully will come this morning.
Ohs sister is supposed to be coming round today but not too sure Lilly keeps asking if she is and Lilly gets upset if she doesnt turn up. Mainly cuz she likes to hold her aunties baby lol.
Had a right old horrible convo with my mom last night she asked me to keep her updated with the pregnancy even though we dont talk much and dont see eye to eye at all. Told her bout having blood test to check iron levels and check my liver function because of the itching and then she turns round and asks if oh came with me to the hospital to have bloods done. Told her no and that he had the kids as it was raining and would
Of been pointless and they would get bored waiting around as there were loads waiting to have their bloods done as always. Then she turns round and said to me do you do everything on your own doea he ever go to appointments or anywhere with you even going food shopping. Told her that he does Ofcourse he does when the kids are at school he will gladly come with me but if they arent well or arent at school its me telling him to stay at home with them to look after them. Its too much taking a 6 year old 4 year old and nearly 2 year old to a busy hospital waiting around for bout 2/3 hours as they would get bored. Also that he does come food shopping with me now n again but im quicker goin on my own. Then that question came up asking if he works. I've told her before whats hapoened with the job he had lined up which fell through at the last minute. So I just ended up ignoring her.
I thought mils were supposed to be pains in the backside but my god my moms gotta be the worst.
I dont need the stress from her or anything else. Im just fed up if it all she keeps asking to be there when I have baby and ive
Told her before I only want oh there and no one else explained to her why and she went in a strop about it x

Thanks chick. Tbh shes always been like it. She just doesnt know when to stop. She knows which buttons to press that wind me up and I end up snapping and stop talkin to her. It happened when I was pregnant with Lilly I didnt speak to her til after I had her she just stressed me out. My older sister is the same they've both piped up saying I should name this baby after my nan which is Alice but me and oh have already said we wont as we arent keen on the name and want something different.
My dads just taken a step back and mellowed out in his old age lol bless him he even said he just dont want the agro of it all lol.

It's all becoming so real now, had first nxt class last night which was good although we are due way before everyone else. Also found out this morning my friends who were due 4th April had their little boy on the 16th Feb, all doing great but brings it home that we really need to get organised! Feeling a bit overwhelmed!

Ive got a few friends from
Who I went to school with and they're due a few weeks/days before me and they've been given their section dates so they defo know what day they will be born. My headache is just gettin worse just want it to go now. Just know if I have a nap when Ollie does I'll just woke up feeling worse x

Morning ladies. How are we all? I missed out on everything yesterday as I wasn't at all well but still ran around around picking my mum up to collect her car from the garage and picking OH from work etc.

I went to the local walk in centre yesterday for this sore throat and cough which I have now had a week and hasn't subsided. Was told paracetamol only as my lungs sounded fine, blood pressure normal, temperature normal - everything normal. If anyone has any cough remedies they would be very well received!

Midwife on Wednesday went well except they couldn't take blood so I had to go to the phlebotomist yesterday to have them taken there. On her first try she hit a tendon which was soooooooo painful but managed to get some on second try. Midwife rang this morning to say she'd had the results and my iron levels are low so am going to have to have iron tablets Anyone else on iron tablets?

I hope everyone else is having a better week than I am, I feel like the last couple of weeks I've done nothing but whinge and moan so apologies if I've brought everyone down or annoyed people! I don't mean to!

Hi Ladies, how we all doing?

I seem to really struggle to get on here regularly these days, had some busy weekends and work is manic!
Trying to interview for my mat leave as well as another position we have here, be home for deliveries that don't bloody turn up (more specifically our cot) and just try and get on with work. Bed time seems to get earlier and earlier cos I'm shattered. I don't know how I will hold out until 38 +4, but hopefully things will start to slow down at work, especially if I get someone in that I can start off loading too.

On the plus side, if the cot turns up this afternoon like it's supposed too then the nursery should be all finished this weekend I'm so excited! We had new carpet laid in there last weekend and we have a few bits in there....I just keep going and standing in it lol

Trying to catch up a bit with what you've all been up too, it looks like some of you have been suffering with colds and bugs!? I hope you all start to feel better soon. There's a few going round the office that I am desperately trying to avoid!

Cossie, I feel like I'm constantly whinging and moaning too! There is another girl at work who is due 2 weeks before me and we seem to just moan together everyday lol....saves you guys from hearing it from me I guess
