There's only about 5 of us left to have our babies! My first went very very overdue!

congratulations had my consultant app tpday and was offered a sweep, she couldnt do it properly though as cervix was abit too high baby is engaged though which is a good sign apparently as second babies often dont! feeling emotional today, just burst into tears before for no reason xxx

Hey ladies! Sorry it's taken so long to get on here - signal was rather poor! Managed to update Facebook thanks to OHs phone though. Trying to cut a long story relatively short, I started getting painful contractions on Sunday as you know and went into Telford. They sent me home. Contractions got stronger and by the evening I felt like I was dying! Little did I know that they would get worse still! Mum made me dinner on Monday and looked after me all day but early hours of Tuesday morning I was screaming. Rang Telford again at 5am and they said to go in. Still only 1cm after 3 days. They said they'd give me some pethidine which took the edge off but only for a couple of hours. They said they'd then give me a second dose which allowed me a couple hours sleep according to OH. The midwife then said she'd examine me again to find that I was 7cm! Next thing I know I'm in the delivery suite off my face on gas and air! Couldn't get past 8cm but yet felt the urge to push. After a couple of hours of this and being told not to push (which makes things even more painful) I was given an epidural (award goes to whoever invented it!) And they took some blood from baby to check he was ok. They said his oxygen levels were a little low and they'd test again in an hour or so. The did and they gotten even lower so told me they'd have to do a cesarean. This had me in hysterics but it was all over so quickly and Leighton Alexander Williams (will be called Alex) was born at 8:32pm on 14th April. The cord was wrapped around his next which explained his lack of oxygen but he was very healthy and very happy! He's not really able to latch very well and he got very stressed out trying to BF so we've made the decision to formula feed. He's absolutely gorgeous and ill post a picture in a sec if I can xx

Leighton Alexander born 14th April at 8:32pm weighing 7lb 9oz :-D I can't stop staring at him!!!

There really aren't many of us left now - 17 babies have been born. emmajaine is currently being induced and then that leaves about 6/7 of us (regular posters) left to have babies And it's only 16th April!

So many babies have come early! I recon my baby is going to be a lazy one, however, her movements can be very uncomfortable and sometimes painful! Absolutely no signs of an arrival though. Been offered a sweep at 40 weeks but I'm praying that I won't make it that far!

I have 6 days until due date - I think i'll make it! I really think i'll go overdue again, not that I particularly mind!

I'll probably regret saying this when I have no sleep and a crying baby but I'm just bored of doing nothing all day!

congratulations hes gorgeous!! im really achey, we had sex too so hoping that or the sweep might help haha xxx
