**** April 2015 Mummies ****

Ohh yay! Good luck Cossie! Since I'll be giving birth at Telford too I expect a full review afterwards - especially about the post natal care as that's what I'm most nervous about

I'm being sent home :-( I am however in early labour and 1cm dilated. I'm to call back if contractions get too much. A bit pants if you ask me as they already feel like they're too much! Hopefully it won't be much longer for me now though.

The ward is lovely rooster and the midwives are all really nice. Labour rooms are massive!!! But I'll have to get back to you on the post natal care

Booo. I hope they don't send me home when I eventually go. I'd rather linger or book in at a local Premier Inn as I live a good 30 mins away and I've heard second labours progress much more quickly.

Cheers for the review so far!

Congratulations CDx wishing you speedy recovery!

Fingers crossed things speed up today cossie x

Wow another April baby congrats CDx!

Good luxk Cossie...

Rooster it still luks like we have the tardy babies lol. Plenty of early signs but no definite ones yet...I am pleased she didnt come yesterday tho as dads bday n want her to have her own day...

Contragations CDx!

How exciting Cossie, I hope it all goes well for you!

I'm so jealous of everyone having their babies, I just know that I could be weeks yet and I'll probably be the last one. On a positive side though the crib is up ready and all the baby stuff is sorted finally!

We have had 15 babies so far! Which isn't bad considering we're only on the 12th April. I do need some of you to have late babies so I have people to talk to on here

I would've liked a baby born today as it's my granddad's birthday today (whoop, 82nd today) and would've been a nice little nod towards him and that side of the family. Though, getting no symptoms at all. So, as long at it swerves the 13th for superstitious reasons then it's free pop out whenever

im still here with weeks to go :-) i think ill be having a may baby :-( xxx

I'm the same rooster, had a couple mild cramps randomly in the day but nothing of any significance. I've started drink raspberry leaf tea for some hope but I'm sure that it won't do anything!

Yup, i've had random cramps but nothing majorly uncomfortable or regular. So all quiet around here. I'm just hoping that maybe my labour will just happen all at once. I've been told that for second and subsequent labours that babies don't go into the pelvis until right before labour - it isn't a gradual process, so fingers crossed it'll all just happen all of a sudden!

Contractions still coming strong and regular. If they carry on like this ill be back in this afternoon as they're so painful. Really hope I have him today!! Xx

Thanks ladies. I get the feeling ill need it!!

When the midwife sent us home she said to relax but I'm finding it soooo difficult. I think it's a combination of knowing that I'm in labour so contractions are there and they are really strong and painful and I don't like it! And also the fact that this means he is on his way! I'm going to be a mummy!!! And I could not be more terrified!! Xx

Hi Cossie, try and do the things that usually relax you/distract you such as hot bath, listen to music (dancing supposed to be great in early labour), reading/films (something to make you laugh also good as relaxes muscles down there lol) get your OH to give you a back massage while you're on all fours/on birthing ball (they are ace!), long walks (may make the contractions feel worse but im told it can speed things up)...and try and sleep when you get breaks in between if you can...it'll all b worth it in the end lol...

Eee cossie very excited for you! Hope things progress quickly for u :)

I'm being discharged home this afternoon. Got to have 3 iron infusions this week as lost a lot of blood in theatre but they are happy with everything else.

Xxx

yay wanttobeamum - excellent news - bet you cant wait to get into familiar surroundings...

Itll be lovely to not have to share a room with other people lol. Have had 3 days in a 4 bed bay so cant wait to have my own space and to spend time with DD too :) ive missed her so much xx

Congratulations CDX. Hope you are back on your feet stealing snuggles very soon xxxx
