***** October 2015 Mummies ******

Once again, congrats Shelly, hope you get to take the little man home today x

Carrie & Gail, happy 37 weeks!! LOs are ready to meet you now :)

That's me just woke up at 9am... wow  Planning on doing nothing today, just resting. Seeing MW at 2pm, hope baby is still head down and engaged more than last time! x

I'm heading for a swim this lunchtime, so fed up of sitting and waiting! It should help to move bubba round too. I would ideally love to go every day, but that would knacker me out, and the pool is where I work; I'm on mat leave, I don't need to be there every day anymore! :-)

38 weeks today!

Carrie, fair due to you on the swimming, I had planned to go swimming while on ML, but running around after my 21month old toddler has me worn out in my current state, that & constantly being sent for BP monitoring lol!!
Lovely bump Petchy, has it dropped a little? I think my baby is only at brim, least that's what all MW notes say, not sure if I'm actually engaged yet. Super ready for baby to come now, official due date is Sunday! Desperately trying to think of something to keep me busy on Sunday to keep my mind off it, what has everyone else got planned for their edd?

No plans for edd shona
Too far away to consider lol
The rate this house is going it'll probably work out well if he's late
although if and when the house is done... I'm not really sure what I'll do with myself !
.... In saying that... I did buy myself a colouring in book! X

Congratulations again Shelley, lovely name!

Carrie I went for a swim today actually! first time in weeks. I took it easy and felt great after. Bobbing about it the water is so relaxing.

Do you have any boxsets you can watch Sharmon? I still feel like I've loads of odd jobs to do before the little guy arrives. I've slowly but surely making my way through my list :) one/two a day and I'll be sorted

Yep, it's dropped loads! Head was fully engaged at my mw-appointment last week

My swim was great, managed to get a good half mile out, set me up for a lovely sleep :-)

I hope this doesn't sound like too dumb a question, but when you feel contractions in your back, are they always going to be in the bottom of your back? ?

Hi ladies...hope you're all okay.

Estate agents called today and have a couple that have asked for a viewing on the house tomorrow!!! I've told them I'm due to have a baby soon so don't expect a showhome. Not ideal, but want to move into a bigger house now and the sooner the better.

Went to the expectant parent event at Mothercare this evening...really lovely night..lots of freebies and a few vouchers which I used. Although in one talk there wasn't enough chairs and myself and a few other women stood up while husbands and boyfriends were sat down. How rude!!

Midwife app today too and she confirmed that baby is still head down after I was sure he had turned. That's good news!

Induction booked for 19th October if I can get my glucose levels down. If not, I'll be induced sometime next week. I am REALLY trying as mam has her surgery next Tuesday and I'm looking after her. Stress had a massive effect on my levels last week...but have been behaving since Monday.

Oh yes...forgot to add. My birthday is on the 20th..with my planned induction on the 19th (40 weeks exactly), I could potentially be sharing my birthday with the little one x

That is shocking that men didn't give their seats to you! I wouldn't want to be their wives!

That would be lovely if you could share a birthday with your wee one, if you're induced next week it's possible we'll be going through an induction at the same time :) I won't know til next Monday. When are they checking your glucose again?

I cant believe the event organisers didnt make them bloody stand
For me... If i stood long... I'd likely have fainted within 10 minutes!

Can you breathe and eat any better now shes dropped solveig? X

I can scoff more food at a time :P however, heartburn hasn't eased off like I had hoped... Oh, well. Not long now. Went back to bed after sorting DS' packed lunch. Now in bed listening to the rain pouring down outside and feeling slight cramping so my body seems to be preparing to evict this little tenant at least. Got a mw-appointment at 1pm, followed by lunch with my mum :)

How is everyone else today?

BB, it would be so cool if you shared birthdays with your LO! Fingers crossed your glucose levels stay nice and low x

Morning all! How is everyone?

I had MW yesterday and was late for the appointment cause the stupid carpark gate was broken allowing only 1 car through every 5min?!?! I was only 5 min late but by the time I got there my blood pressure was 140/100!! MW said she was going to give hispital ward a quick ring to check with them about BP! I was like NOOOOOO.... but thabkfully no one picked up and she decided to visit me at home today to check BP.

Baby is still head down but not engaged as much as we thought. In fact when MW saw the hospital notes saying baby was 2/5th engaged she laughed and said that baby would have to be super gifted to go from oblique to 2/5th engaged. She thinks only 1/5th of baby head is in pelvis meh! :/

I'm seeing the midwife at 4:20 for my 37w appt

I'm meant to be at work
I've took the day off though
Tomorrow will be my last day
Since they announced I'll not be going back to the team i feel less inclined to run around like a headless chicken to help them etc. I've nothing to lose or gain by being there anymore!

Other than that...
I 'should' tidy
This nesting instinct must be last minute for me.or not at all cos i just don't have it
Every position is awkward when it comes to cleaning so im put off by it. Feels like an uphill battle with downstairs being the complete dumping ground that it is
My visions are set on end of next week
It should all be sorted. I'll have my nice new kitchen. Painting and glossing will be done. All windows washed. All items in their rightful place. All surfaces dust free (before it resettles again lol). I want the place gleaming
I'll even have the cushion covers from the entire couch stripped off and washed lol. This nesting instinct needs to arrive next wednesday really (so week 38) cos by god I'll need it haha

Jeepers, that's high bp karolina, I hope it settles down. I find if I concentrate I can get mine quite a bit lower.

It sounds like your house renovations are nearly there MrsS, I've had loads of good intentions to clean as well but I haven't been great at tackling them. I'll be happy if I manage to clean out the fridge and freezer today.

Got my hair cut this morning and feel great now. I won't have much time for this kind of thing when I've a little boy to contend with :)

Khtw, hope your BP is down & your less stressed now, I got sent to hospital on Monday for BP monitoring, it was around 150/90, they were happy to let me go home as my urine was ok. I'm hoping it's just pregnancy hypertension & not the start of something else.
