***** October 2015 Mummies ******

I'm the same, Shelly. But no matter how painful they get I still enjoy feeling LO stretching and kicking

Well the scan and clinic appointment with my consultant went well :) She is measuring perfectly normally pretty much following the same chart as Cora, no other signs to suggest any issues so I have been told to crack on ...I am due to see midwife in 2 weeks and consultant again in 4 (if I make it that far) and she says she will examine me then and if I'm not looking favourable then will have an elective c-section.

I'm pleased but also a little nervous eeek

As of today im taking wednesday off for my remaining 4 weeks left
Im too knackered
And sat up at a computer all day os breaking me. My back and neck are dying
Today the back of my legs hurt aswell. I think its cos im leaning slightly backwards and waddling to keep me from tipping over Lol
So I'll only do 2 consecutive days then either wednesday or the weekend as a break x

No idea what difference is between tge mucous plug and the crap i normally have coming out
Ive had snotty looking stuff for months lol

Thanks for all your encouraging words girls - you're right fliss, he'll get here whichever way in the end. The fact that my consultant is monitoring his growth is very reassuring, I'm sure she won't let me deliver a 10lb-er!

I had a mad day in work today, as well as having a huge amount of to-ing and fro-ing I had to give a 1.5 hour lecture to new first year students. The content of the class wasn't exactly difficult but having to stand and talk constantly for that length of time was taxing to say the least. I was unbelievably breathless, god knows what they thought of me! Next week my classes will be two hours long which is going to be a lot more tricky, sure I'll just have to sit as much as I can. Only three more weeks!

No signs of my mucus plug coming out but loads of CM, might be something to do with standing around quite a lot. Not pleasant.

What's this with the moon-babies? I'd love to choose a totally hippy middle name just for the fun of it. 'John' as a middle name is not exactly out-there! Going to go googling moon babies... :)

My o/h nicknamed our little one luna before we came up with a definite name we like (Sophia) as I remember looking at the full moon outside and just knowing she was a girl really early on. So have been looking up moon related names throughout there are some really pretty ones :)

Glad you are feeling less nervy little twix and you have reduced your hours Mrs S neck ache through bad posture is a killer when it starts it's not good at the best of times to sit hunched over a desk all day.

I'm looking up VBAC stuff now have just been prepping my o/h on what to do as well and getting myself mentally prepared I want to try and stay at home as long as poss managing contractions with temperature and massage (hot baths) and have bought some containers for ice-packs, etc may even panic buy a tens machine... anyone else on here going for a VBAC without induction? I've lost track of everyones plans x

Sounds like you're getting v organised Stacey! I think there was someone else going for VBAC without induction but I can't remember who.. Definitely rings a bell!

Me! I'm going for a vbac :) hopefully won't have to be induced, went into labour 2 days after my due date last time

Excellent Petchy  ...my only concern now I know everything is ok with my baby is about my scar during contractions - but this was quashed by the consultant today who said that the incision I had previously was quite low down- sometimes they have to do one higher up which is more of a worry but she wasn't concerned about mine - so long as I don't start getting pain there or anything.

So I'm going to get my head around a natural birth this time. I'm weirdly looking forward to it - such a strange one haha

My midwife basically said to forget about having a section last time, and start from scratch mentally this time. Went for a visit to the labour ward too, they looked at me like I was crazy for asking about their policy for using the birthing pool for a vbac, as they really didn't see that as a problem at all. And I am not being treated as high risk or anything, been midwife-led all along and not seen a consultant once. If all goes well in labour I will only be looked after by a midwife. I do feel like they have a much more relaxed approach (while still providing good care) here in Norway - which I love!

Hope you ladies going for VBAC get what you wish for ;)

I am feeling completely fed up! I have been in agony for the past 2 days with an external pile. We are going on holiday on Saturday (in this country) but I cant look forward to it as i'm only comfortable sitting down with my legs up! Even driving hurts...bloody speed bumps. Have bought anusol but it doesnt seem to be helping. Think the iron tablets are to blame.

Will I have to deal with this until baby is born or will it calm down a little?

Loving all this talk of babies coming early! Mine feels so far away 7 weeks is ages!!!!
I literally cannot wait for my last day at work on Friday though I'm so big and achey and tired I'm just not enjoying work!!!!

Babba is annoying me tonight it doesn't like my pelvis apparantly and keeps getting 2 hands and possibly a foot or 2 and pushing at one side as hard as it can!! Doesn't hurt but feels really uncomfortable and means when I walk and it does it my leg gives out and I nearly topple over!! I swear it's an evil genius plotting my demise lol!!! I can tell I'm gonna have my hands full already!!
My ds on the other hand has been in angel mode today, he tidied up all the toys in the dining room and picked up all my clean washing where I'd dumped it on the floor so I could fold it and put it away without having to bend over, then to top it off he ate all his veggies at tea!!!!!!

The foot flicking over the ribs
Eeewwww
That's horrible lol

I'm also going for VBAC without induction. I've a history of PE, but no sign of it so far so looking good for VBAC. MW has recommended I head straight into hospital at first sign of labour as I will need to be monitored constantly due to previous issues with BP & c section scar. Have been told a water birth won't be possible & I will be monitored v closley through labour, but better to be safe.
Although everything is going well I now have to have weekly MW checks until 40 weeks when I will go back to see consultant, if nothing has happened by 40+10 I am booked in for an elective section, so one way or another baby will be here by 14th October!!
Starting to get quite nervous now!!

Morning ladies!

Yeah, what is up with getting out of breath so quickly?! I am spending my days training the replacement and she must be thinking I suffer form asthma or something!

9 days left until I'm off!!! Can't wait!!! x

Yeah I'm ridiculously breathless I sound so unfit, can only assume it's lungs being squished so reducing how much air can fit in? It sounds awful though!!!!

Is anyone loosing plug already? I am on a tissue-watch (sorry, tmi) but so far had none x

Not yet, though bit early for me! I remember losing it last time and thinking woo hoo this is it, ds then didn't arrive for another 3 weeks lol I was so frustrated!!!! My sis on other hand lost hers about 3 days before my nephew arrived!
