***** October 2015 Mummies ******

I am gobsmacked!!!!!! Midwife two weeks ago said that in cases like mine the placenta does NOT move!!!! Well ladies it has moved and its completely out of the way!!!!!!!!!!! I just don't believe it!

No early admittance and a natural birth!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on placenta moving, delighted for you, brilliant that you won't have to go into hospital early x

I hope you do go early Sharmon, I'd love to go early, but I'm doubtful that will happen. My mum went 2 weeks over on all of us!

Great pics Petchy, I got a Close Caboo and was doing the very same thing with a teddy :)

I'm sleeping great the last few nights, long may this last!

How's everyone today? Us October mummies have been quiet this weekend xx

I'm pretty tired as not sleeping much at mo, but we've cracked on sorting so much stuff out for the baby so feeling more organised!!!!! Bought my tommee tippee prep machine today so that's another thing ticked off the list to buy!

It was big sort out day for us yesterday. My parents were here, so Dad and hubby moving furniture, doing tip runs etc etc. Got lots done, just need to decide if have to sell a sofa bed now.

Someone came to test drive my mini today *sob*! I have bought a BMW X1 from a garage down near my folks so will collect in a few weeks. Just got to hope the mini sells by then, but we only put the advert on last night and already have test drives booked up!

Had a lovely early morning down at the paddling area in Guildford this morning. Its one way to get the cankles down, the water was nice and cold! Jess threw a bucket of water at me, ran off cackling and promptly fell over into the water. Cue me cackling at her. Both soaked and loving it!

Well weve hired a skip
Been doing manor sorting and cleaning out
Between that and work and getting odd jobs done... Im just knackered and sleeping a lot... Needing naps when i get in. Mostly my nights are spent with tossing and turning with disrupted sleep and regular pee trips
Im starting to get uncomfortable now and some pf his kicks make me feel sicky. Bleugh
By the end of this next week we will have nursery in place and it 'should' just be odd jobs through the house with the exception of a new kitchen which will go in in about 4 weeks time. Cutting it very fine!!

I've been a social butterfly this week; had the week off work and spent it catching up with friends but it's caught up with me! Tiredness has officially set in! Just doing my last load of baby washing, so it's all done. I can have a few weeks to concentrate on other things, then it's time to get everything sorted for my hospital bag, argh!

Hello ladies x I'm feeling really uncomfortable at the moment..my bump has been super tight over the past 2 days. I am not sure if it's due to constipation or braxton hicks or both but all I can do really to get a little comfortable is lie down on my side - not exactly a position that suits work! I swear some days I feel ready to have this baby now, I feel like I'm gearing up for it already! Hopefully it's another one off and I'll feel better again tommo

My weekend was pretty good! Had a night in with friends yesterday and today spent all day just chilling so I'm pretty much ready for this comming week. It should go by pretty quick too - we have 2 antenatal classes (tue and thu) and midwife apptm on wednesday.

Stacey, I must say I also feel less and less comfortable... can definately feel more pressure on my uterus and the tightenings are pretty frequent too. But I guess it will only get worse as we approche the 40 week mark! x

I'v had a total shopping spree while my hubby is away. I hope he doesn't check the bank LOL. I think I have blitzed everything we need. And I'v been very very lazy and organised a cleaner 2 times a week then 3+ when I get to 36 weeks.

I keep getting a really low down pressure when I pee, or in a sitting position. Feels like the head is right there or I'm swollen. Not very pleasant.

I feel tender and pressure really low
Depending how he lies determines whether i need to pee or not
I could be bursting then next min i dont need to go at all lol

Hi girls, sounds like you all had good weekends. Mine was a good one, catching up with friends, family, cinema and we also got the cot set up. Feels like I accomplished lots!

Have an appointment with my doctor this afternoon, fingers crossed his growth has slowed down a bit!

Babywise the plan for this week is to upcycle/hack an IKEA chest of drawers and then get some more things for my hospital bag. I'm hoping to have it all packed by Friday-week at the latest.

Morning Girls! I don't know about you but I keep thinking more and more about the labour... I can't say I am stressing about it but kind of begin to realize that it is away to happen SOON!

We are scheduled for labour classes at the hospital on Tuesday and Thursday and this is probably going to get me all freaked out!

And a bit of TMI this morning - I am now a proud owner of my very own hemorrhoid  Had to go to Boots last night to get cream for it, fingers crossed it helps!

How do you know if youve got hemorrhoid?
I feel like I've got something swollen there but doesnt bleed or anything
I do definitely strain every time though so wouldnt be surprised!

Has any of you had a health visitor appt?
Im waiting now for her to come
No idea what its for ... Anyone got any idea??
She mentioned a questionnaire and its at my house. Thats all I know!

I had my Health Visitor this week just gone. They give you a book that documents all LO's jabs for the next few years and they ask you all about your plan for birth and how you've been etc.

They also talk to you more about what happens once LO is here in terms of home visits. It is a lot of information so don't worry if you cant take it all in!

Thanks carrie
Will see what she says when she eventually rocks up
She said 12:30 lol

Umm... mine is not sore or bleeding either but it kind of feels like a tiny blueberry attached to my butt (gosh, I really wish I knew a better way to describe it  ) It started of as a small swelling but recently got bigger.

Re. health visitor - we don't get them in Scotland prior to giving birth.

Glad you said that Karolina, i was wondering if i had missed something lol!

Scotland here too and no mention of HV coming out.

Karolina have you named your new friend :) the glamourous parts of pregnancy.

My pelvis is achy today & sleeping is not happening much .... 8 weeks to go !!! xxx

Well it wasnt very informative
Got asked same stuff in my booking in appt
Health, domestic abuse... Weird stuff aswell like how was my childhood, who was my favourite person grpwing up, did i like school, what my hobbies were, was i treated fairly with siblings, did i have routine or could i do whatever i wanted etc

So I'll see her 5x in the first year for home visits
About 10 days old, 4-6 weeks, 3-4 months, 6 months and a year im sure she said
Plus any drop in clinics i wanna go to for getting him weighed and what not

All in all i didnt find it useful
Not at this stage anyway...
Although i suppose if theres any worries or if youre feeling isolated or struggling its best getting caught now
Plus you might not be at your best with a newborn and at least youll know her already etc
Apparently shes available up until your child is 5 and is handed over to the education system !
I guess i learned a bit

Also got an Emmas Diary Labour information pack which im just about to read x
