**** November 2012 Mummies **** (everyone welcome)

Glad to hear you had a nice Christmas girls! Love the pics, cannot believe how grown up all these babies are!

We had a good day too although poor wee Aela still had a bit of a cough and ate a lot more than usual and ended up vomming all her Christmas lunch all over herself while she was upstairs for a nap! I've never seen so much sick from a wee baby! She seemed fine though, think it was just a coughing fit and being very full!

Is anyone doing anything special for New Year? I am planning to pop out for a drink with my friends (OJ of course!) before they all head up the road for the bells and then have a quiet NY day with OH as he will be off work. I'm not up for doing much as the last week or so I have suddenly felt reeeeeally pregnant. Struggling to bend down and got heartburn and shortness of breath! It was all going so well and now I feel like a whale!

OH and I are hoping to get away for a night on the 3rd as the 2nd is my 21st birthday. Mum has said she will pay for us to stay in a hotel in Glasgow and she will have Aela so here's hoping OH can get work to agree! We've only had 2 full nights without A and one of them was a trial run for this on Boxing Night. Will be very strange not having her for 2 full day and a night!!xxx

God it's New Year's Eve tomorrow! Madness.

We'll open a bottle of something fizzy and toast in 2014.. then I'll be promptly going to bed. Back to work for me on Thursday.

January is going to be a month of looking after myself. No booze, no crap just wholesome food and lots of walking. James is 1 now, it's no longer baby weight I am just fat

Happy New Year to all the November 2012 Mummies and their beautiful kiddie-winkes.

Happy Birthday in advance MissY, I hope your OH can get the time off

Hi all. Hope your LO's are doing okay? I'm a proud mummy at the moment as my little fella is now walking, and walking quite a lot. He still crawls though, and struggles to stand on his own, but he's getting there :-D

Hi ladies :)

Nat how did the doctors go? Hope little James gets same respite from his painful poops!

All is good this end. Madison has changed from my little baby to full on toddler! She has such a character and is very caring an affectionate.

I've been away from home this week with work and it was horrible being without my little lady, I'm away till Wednesday next week and then I'm back home.
It's horrible being away from her I even had a cry!

Been thinking about TTC no2 and oh seems more on side I think we'll try in summer, so that's not all bad.

Hope everyone is doing well xx

Hope everyone's good and toddlers are doing well!

It's ridiculous how much Lyla has grown up in the past month or so. Definitely not a baby anymore!
Not walking yet but standing and taking the odd wobbly step then getting extremely proud of herself and squealing (it's her thing  )

But she is talking non stop. She will babble away as if she's having a full conversation with you, especially at the dinner table. Then repeats the exact same thing as if to say "Why do you not understand me?"

Got her 13 month vaccinations on Wednesday. Not looking forward to it but her dummy, blanket and a cuddle should sort her out.

We have 12 teeth now. Front 4, top and bottom and 4 first molars. (The molars all came through at the same time poor thing). Now we have canines coming through and looks like all 4 again but she's as trooper.

Back at uni two days a week starting 27th and Lyla has been in creche for 2 hours a day to get her settled back in. Then she will be in 3 days a week full time so I can get this final semester out of the way! Don't want any extensions as semester ends May 30th and this new bubs is due May 31st! Timing or what?!

Got my 21 week scan tomorrow! Absolutely crazy how fast time flies with a toddler to run around after!

Lyla is such a little beauty!

Are you finding out gender Chloe?

James had all his jabs on Friday, we took some Milky Bar buttons - they worked a treat - although the nurse was super quick. We had two in one leg and one in the other. Touch wood no reactions - James has actually been pretty happy.

It is leap time though, he has really been affected by the last two whereas he never followed the leaps before?

James is tottering about, not proper walking yet but everyday he is getting more and more confident.

It's amazing how all our little November babies are so different? I know some have been walking for ages.

We're NTNP at the moment and will be TTC proper from June.

Being back at work FT is hard, as my real job starts when I get home. OH has been amazing but when I get home I want to spend time with James, I want to bath him and do dinner.... so it's a catch-22 really.

I'll get into the swing of things I am sure.

My foot is finally better and now I am having knee trouble, I am seeing GP and asking to be referred for an ultrasound as it's swollen and I don't have full mobility. I always have such random ailments lol

PS: MrsW, James is on Movocal for his poo's - not made much difference yet!

Thank you, I just sit cuddling her sometimes and playing with her little red curls thinking how lucky I am.

Not finding out gender, I am slowly wanting to find out more and more but in the end the not knowing until baby is born and labour is over wins for me. Obviously I would love a little boy and that is what I was hoping for, for a few weeks there, but as time goes on I realise how much I would love another little girl as well so for me it's become not an issue. This one won't be our last so always chance to try for Daddy's little boy.

My Mum on the otherhand is adamant she wants a Grandson from me because she knows he would be called Jack and she always wanted a little boy called Jack. She says she wouldn't be disappointed if I had another girl but when Lyla was born she phoned and jokingly said she was supposed to be a Jack  Even though she dotes on Lyla obviously.

The milky buttons have given me a good idea for Lyla - she isn't really into them so a chocolate digestive may do the trick! Going to have to remember to bring one.

Can definitely tell when Lyla is in a leap. She has a right little temper on her. If she is told no when she really wants something she will seek out things to pick up and throw in frustration. Shes a cling during leap time as well. She woke at 1:30am last night crying standing in her cot which she never does so she had to come in with us as I couldn't settle her and we were staying at the in laws. DHs mum is sick so didn't want to waken her. I blame teeth though, don't think we are on the brink of a leap just yet thankfully.

You are doing so well with the back to work thing. I have another week with Lyla before I am back at uni a few days. It will be hectic to say the least.

Hope your knee clears up!

xx

So looks like Lyla is getting a little brother! :blue:

Didn't ask gender and sonographer didn't even ask if I wanted to know but when she was measuring femur, went straight under the bum to get the measurement and there it was

So not 100% but looks likely!

xx

Awwww bless!!!

Congrats hun. Glad all was OK.

Didn't you have the same thing with Lyla? As in you kind of saw / knew the gender but had remained team yellow?

Srob - well done to your wee one on walking! It's so exciting - very tiring but exciting :)

Nat - I hope work is going well for you and glad James' jabs went okay! A had hers about a week after her 1st birthday and apart from having massive red marks on her legs seemed pretty fine afterwards.

mrsw - That must be so hard being away from M for work but I bet you get amazing cuddles when you get back!

Chloe - glad the scan went well! I remember that happening to you with Lyla too - seeing the sex but not asking! I would probably have never noticed - they go so quick in these scans I get confused whether I'm looking at a head or a bum!

Has anyone got any ideas for a clingy baby? I want to try and do something about A as she is getting so clingy towards me. My sister took her out the other day and when she got back I gave her a big cuddle and passed her to daddy and she went nuts. I think it's because she's used to not seeing him through the day but she get's me all to herself usually. She also goes nuts if me and OH have a cuddle or show any kind of affection to each other when she is in the room! It's driving me nuts because I can't even leave to go to the toilet without her throwing a tantrum sometimes.

Anyway, in other news...I got engaged last night :) we've been talking about it for aaaaaaages and he's had the flipping ring for aaaaaaaaaages but he finally got round to giving it to me last night! I'm excited though, even though it's gonna takes us a good few years to save up enough to actually get married! xxx

Yep, exactly what happened with Lyla

Her's was a lot less obvious but I knew what I was looking at. Problem with seeing so many scan pictures! It was later on with Lyla though at a growth scan.

But it was very hard to miss this time!

Big congrats Holly!! Such lovely news!

Lyla is clingy but not that much. Separation Anxiety is big around this time though maybe that's what it is?

xx

Congrats on team blue!

We found out for ourselves too then the tech confirmed. It was flapping away!

xxxxx
