Hope you get your sweep today Emma and it works unlike mine yesterday! Apart from passing a bit of plug I've had no other signs thats it's done anything at all. She couldn't even give me a proper sweep as my cervix is still posterior and hard. Back for round 2 tomorrow.
I think girl as well, not for any reason other than yes i've seen the clothes in next and they are SOOOO CUTE! lol. I always find it easier to spot cute girl clothes rather than boys.

On a completely different note I've started reading a book which seems really good and I wish I'd read it before I had Ella - the baby whisperer by Tracy Hogg - so I recommend it for any overdue ladies wanting something to do or anyone nearing the end xx

I love boys clothes! I think the little dungarees and polo shirts are so cute! I'm not a pink fan either so I make it my mission to find pretty non pink things for Ella!
Me and the OH have lots of weddings and parties this summer and I can't wait to buy different outfits for each! So I predict bankrupcy come the autumn!

Mrs_B1981 why dont you show us picture of your bump shape.. this way I can tell you what you are carrying.. its allot easier.. by that ultrasound.. I can predict a boy but then am not sure can be girl, but the baby is one smart baby crossing the legs lol>> bless¬

I got quite worked up yesterday about having mine done, so much so that my BP went through the roof. I've had my BP taken again today and I'm back within my normal readings.
It's not the most pleasant experience but is over quickly and is more uncomfortable than painful.
Just try to relax and think about why you're having it done.

I know I think I will be symptom spotting all night and tomorrow. I keep telling my OH not to get his hopes up because they only work sometimes. Its the same with my mum, I think she has told the world I'm having one so ill be getting hounded all night asking if I have had twinges.
Let's hope we don't go too far over our due dates cherelle. So fed up I almost had a wee cry on phone to my OH earlier. X

ooh hope it goes well Emma - my MW said if you're feeling a bit crampy thats the BEST time to have a sweep... don't know if it's true or not...
Roo.. that's nice of your midwife to come and explain about induction incase that ends up going ahead. I was induced with Josie and didn't really know what to expect. For me it was the length of time it took to work (which don't worry it's different for everyone). Sometimes it can just take a while to work. I'm actually looking forward to going in for induction Tuesday as if baby hasn't appeared by then it would have to come out one way or another anyway! I've told everyone that if i go the same as with Josie to expect a baby on Friday morning!LOL!
I've got a question abvout mucus/plug loss after sweep...... After my sweep yesterday I had some reddish watery discharge whcih then went a bit brownish and like period blood. It slowed down overnight and had virtually gone today. I just had a little sleep and when i just went to the loo there was a dark red clotty blob came out. Is that plug? or just from where she disturbed things yeterday? It was very jellylike and to me looked just like a large blood clot... any ideas?
It wasn't that big.. maybe between the size of a 5p and 10p coin?
