pinkymum - i bet that's what they say to me on tuesday at my sweep!! i've convinced myself they're not going to able to even do a sweep! i was reading up on sweeps last night and it was saying the position etc of your cervix is not neccessarily related to when you go into labour - some people have had failed sweeeps but then the next day gone into labour and their cervix has suddenly moved round and started dilating within hours - so don't lose hope yet...

catty - positive about your plug!! i didn't lose my plug with my first pregnancy til i was about 4cm and it plopped down the toilet so quick i didn't really get a look at it either!!!



I've been into town with my sister today and i had to come home in the end cos i was in agony... getting those sharp jabby pelvic pains sooooo bad... have got home and layed down and baby's going mad kicking jabbing and wriggling - it's really uncomfy... My little girl is pleased though cos she's been totally spoilt today in town with a goldilocks costume and some new shoes! She is strutting round the front room demanding porridge for her and the 3 bears for tea!

I started to reply hours ago and then my step dad came to pick me up. I think I was saying that Catty's loss of plug sounds positive, has to mean something is happening.

PP - any news?

I was so excited all afternoon thinking something was happening but now nothing. I don't think I lost all my plug as it wasn't very big (walnut sized) and I thought they were huge.

I don't know if it is sign of anything but all of the muscles in my pelvis and groin are agony. I thought it was from bouncing on my ball too much but now I think it must be something else as it's just getting worse. I'm completely incapable of putting on my own socks and walking is agony. Is that a sign of anything?

I have no idea Cathy sorry. Could be though. Are you having any other pains. I just can't sleep because she's either sitting on a nerve or pushing down and I'm getting those Sharp pains. But that meandering nothing at all! Hopefully she'll settle down soon!

I would say that's a normal size for a plug hun. As for your pains I think you may have over done it on the ball a bit. Try to not go on it today and rest a bit. I know my pelvis a d in between my legs are really hurting now from all the pressure.

No news from me I'm afraid. I've had period pains and sharp pains but nothing. I'm going to end up being induced here I can feel it.

She's here at last! After a 12 hour labour on gas & air, some of it in the pool, the little madam was found to be transverse... So ended up the theatre, but all worth it.. Isabella is gorgeous, if not a little naughty for all the fuss she caused. Off to sleep again as I've only had 4 hours since wed night. Good luck Catty & Pp... And congratulations Beth.
