May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

Haha Ery, I can't wait to get a dryer in our new house mainly for soft towels!! X

We have a dryer but tbh we don't use it all that often. I'm thinking we'll probably start using it more when bubba's here...maybe..

Don't use it???? Lol I've emptied the 5.1litre water tub 3 times already. I'm already on my 6th load of drying lol. I still have 2 maidens full of damp clothes that may end up going in as well rhen I have blankets dressing gown's and bedding to wash and dry lol. Then baby clothes of course

I've just been catching up.

Betty - at my scan on Wednesday it turns out that baby was head down after all. In my midwife's defence though the lady said baby had a round hard bottom! She said baby was a bit engaged too but didn't say how much.
I think baby turned the day before my 36wk appt going by all the uncomfortable wriggling that day.

Congratulations Lou, you must feel so relieved and happy :)

I can't remember who said what now but I think the people who said the following things might be next.
Someone said they lost some of their plug a couple of weeks ago.
Someone said it was like carrying a bowling ball between their legs.
Someone said they were 2/5 engaged...

Sometimes I think there are signs that things might start for me soon but I think it's just wishful thinking. I doubt baby will come before 40wks anyway.

Oooh I lost a bit of plug a couple of weeks ago and bubs was 2\5 engaged at MW on Friday, so that's me!

I don't think she'll come early though! I reckon she'll be late but then you never know eh?

She's fully cooked today, 37 weeks :-)

Haha, no we don't really. There's only the two of us (for now) so we don't have an enormous amount of washing. I can never be bothered separating my clothes into those that can and can't be tumbled so tend to just hang it all. We have A LOT of towels so it takes a while to fill the towel wash basket and then I'll do a couple of loads at once and I might use it then. I sometimes use it for bedding but not always. I don't seem to have a problem with crunchy towels. I use a lot of softener on them and dry them inside.

I don't use it every time I do a wash as it's free to dry it on the washing line or on the clothes horse but I do use it regularly. I'm sure once bubs arrives it'll get even more use, although that being said she does have a lot of clothes (according to my mum anyway, I however think I've been very restrained!) so hopefully we won't run out of clean ones!

Happy 37 weeks Emily!

I had the worst sleep last night. It's not just my hips now, my entire side feels uncomfortable. I was getting aches and pains in my chest and ribs last night, and just felt really rubbish. It just seems to be getting worse!

I was up a couple of times last night to pee and get a drink but woke numerous times also. I'm not too uncomfortable in bed but it's a lot of effort to turn over. My hubby described me turning over in bed as being like a sea lion trying to get up the beach!! Lol!! Who says romance is dead eh?

Have you got a pregnancy pillow? One of the huge ones that's like twice as long as you are? That might help perhaps?

We have a heat pump dryer so it uses a lot less power than a typicsl condenser. And to be honest it's still cheaper than taking it to a laundrette!

Happy 37 weeks! !! Fully cooked day!

Lol at the sea lion. My hubby keeps saying I keep beaching myself like a whale lol. It does take a lot of effort to turn over. I keep getting a bad shoulder. It's an old injury I have but it gets so painful. Starts in my shoulder moves to my wrist then my elbow at really bad times. But it's all related to a swollen nerve in my neck that gets aggravated by sleeping funny.

So happy baby is head down after all for you :) I wondered for a moment if mine might be head down and it's the bottom that we can feel but all the movements suggest otherwise. But....I have just come out of a couple of days of feeling very sick and uncomfortable and lots of movement and now I no longer feel the bruised pressure at the top of my bump...I don't want to hope too much but I wonder if it's moved. If anything I think it's moved to transverse as my bump is now a lot bigger at the sides!! Wish I had a window!! Xx

Bless you I feel your pain. I had a particularly bad night last night too with my hip and side pain. This morning I can hardly walk as my feet are so swollen and my hips feel like they are grinding on bone :/ counting my blessings though as I only had to wee twice last night! It'll all soon be a distant memory and it's all so worth it! Xx

Happy 37 weeks Emily. And everyone else that has got to 37 weeks whilst I've been unable to type! You're all so close now look how far we've all come. I'm just so excited these days! Xx

Happy 37 weeks Emily :)

We have a dryer but don't use it that much, I tend to dry things on clothes horse or line and then finish off in dryer to soften. I couldn't be without it though, esp in winter when the washing line isn't an option xx

Emily, I was using one but it was just getting annoying. I'm getting one of those triangular pillows. Btw, I went to a Physik class and they told us to "turn under" instead of turning over in bed, so you're not dragging your belly over the top of you.

Aww, the lack of sleep is awful isn't it Betty. I don't drink enough to go to the loo. Drinking makes me feel sick for most of the day.

Fully cooked bumpy!

aw yay happy full term emily :) one more week for me then this little lady is more than welcome to come out! lol

Happy 37 weeks Emily :) me tomorrow, although I feel like this week has really dragged.

I had an awful nights sleep too. Not sure what was keeping me up but I was tossing and turning for hours. Soo tired today. Have been to an easter egg hunt with the kids and now we're home I'm going to have a nap I think. Need to make the most of the chance with hubby around the watch the kids. Xx

Happy Easter, everyone! Spent my morning cleaning the kitchen now that's practically finished. It's in there, just a few things need finishing off, but it's fully functioning again and begging to be decorated.

Ery, so jealous of the dryer. I wish we had space for one. Unfortunately, I've never liked the washer/dryer combo, so we just went with a washer, which I'm so relieved to finally have. Finally washing all the baby things, but have to let them hang dry. It's when I have too much laundry or towels and linens when I really miss the dryer the most. One day we'll have a house with a utility room.

Happy 37 weeks, Emily!
