May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

Finally 30 weeks tomorrow :) my next milestone is 37 weeks i dont normally get past that lol

Wow love that chair but we don't have room for it either lol. As far as car seats go our ptam comes with one so I'll just be using that. Then when baby has outgrown it she can go in my son's current one as he now needs a booster seat instead

Well, we finally selected our kitchen and have a quote. Work will begin on 10 April, so as long as this little one doesn't arrive early, our kitchen will be finished and we'll have a washing machine by the time he arrives! After being so certain about what we wanted, matt finish, cream/ivory, wood worktop and tiled floors, we went with something completely different - gloss light grey, white glassy worktop and engineered wood floor. It's a small kitchen with a north facing window, so we're hoping the gloss will help to lighten the place!

Sounds lovely kabuk, we will need a photo once finished! I think you are right about the gloss, it will reflect all the light. Also while I love wood worktops they do need more looking after than anything else or they soon look shabby.

That is good to hear MissY! I did check on the fit finder thing and it says yes to three seats, so fingers crossed! Although very randomly I had a dream last night that the company I bought it from was a scam. I hope that isn't true!

Waiting for builders to arrive to start work on our heating.............

Seems like a lot of us are getting work done to our homes. So much to do with little time remaining. I'm excited about the kitchen. I'm the cook in the house. My family has been begging for photos of our new flat, but I want to wait until things are more done. The big work is done except for the kitchen, at least for what will be done before he arrives. But we still have decorating to do- pictures, artwork, curtains, etc. Once the kitchen is done I'm getting new pots and pans as well as I've had to throw our quite a few.

The commute to work today was awful. I was sitting the entire time and still got a bit faint and ill. As it became more crowded it got so warm and I just felt awful. It's left me with quite the headache this morning and upset stomach.

I love that nursing chair. I really want one but it's just not a priority and it would be a tight fit. I'm going to end up sitting indian style on the sofa with a nursing pillow when feeding. It's the best position for me on the sofa right now too.

I nearly fainted in tesco last week i had to sit down for ten mins i was all shaky felt like my legs were just going to give way underneath me it was horrible

you lot are all going to be settled in your newly decorated house and im just going to be moving into mine argh!!!

i already feel i need to nest but i know its pointless till we have moved and i have his little room to sort out!

lots of bump ache today not sure he has a lot of room in there!

oh and finally i have ordered my travel system - gone for the wayfarer in black

hope your all well ladies

Leigh I liked the Wayfarer :)

Sounds like an awful commute kabuk, how much longer are you working for?

Well my house is now a total wreck! Everything is covered in dust already, we have uncovered a lot of the existing pipework and it is just crazy, I'm wondering if the work was actually done by a plumber or just some random idiot! None of it is salvageable unfortunately so madness has descended and there are holes for new pipework everywhere... I'm just hoping the hot water will still work (testing it out now, so should know within a couple of hours) as I really can't live without a wash when we do such dirty jobs!

i loved the limited edition chelsea colour but it wasnt on the deal and if we had bought that it would have been and extra £300 - as the deal we got we got the pram, the car seat free and the isofix for £99.00 so altogether was just £750 ish plus i bought the changing bag to match lol

oh no! i couldnt deal with muck and dust im such a clean freak hahaxx

I've got a minimum of an hour commute each each way. This can vary when there are delays and cancellations, like Friday. Signal failure everywhere. It took me 2 hours to get home. I have to go through central London and change at some awful stations. The overcrowding is getting to me. My last day is the 5th May, but I may return after Easter and say that I need to start earlier. I want to work at least that first week so I get paid over Easter.

My bump gets itchy when it's expanding. I'm getting that lately. When I get up in the morning and don't want to get out of bed, he really pushes against my left side, which is the side I'm lying on, and drags down. It's very weird. It startles me every time and gets me up and out of bed.

We need to decide what colour to paint the kitchen now. We went with a light grey gloss and glass effect top. It's a north facing kitchen with one window and small. I'm thinking an earthy orange for the two walls and then finding a complimentary colour for the other walls. Or maybe a mustard yellow. I don't know. I find this the hardest part.

My birthing ball arrived today. Have blown it up already obviously! Lol! I didn't have one when I was pregnant with Cam but it's actually pretty comfy!

Snowbee, I'd love a car seat that swivels. They look so much easier. I bought my sister in laws travel system off her so I have the car seat it came with. I can't complain at £130 for the pram, carrycot and car seat.

That is a good deal Pebbles :) We didn't get a travel system, I thought about it lots and in the end decided against it so we could go for a car seat that would last longer. I think it would be quite tight to get them in my car without a swivel seat and I really am not the most flexible person!

Well day one of builders over. What a mess. I've had to scrub the bathroom so I can have a shower and get all the dust off me and they weren't even in that room! How it got so bad is ridiculous. Good news is although no heating at all now I do still have hot water! I can't see this being done in the week they have allocated for it though, and they are going on holiday next week so I can tell this is going to drag on for a while yet. I would like to have a nap, wake up and it is all mended and all my furniture is back in the correct rooms lol.

Little one has moved very low down, it feels like he is trying to burst out already! Hope he eases back up as it is pretty uncomfortable!

That sounds awful, snowbee. I'm not looking forward to all the dust again. We just got settled in, but the kitchen needs to be done. I hope they manage in 1wk for you.

My little one goes low and then comes back up. It's always so uncomfortable when he goes low. I try to avoid getting up as sitting helps. I'm sure he'll move again soon enough. Mines going high in the evenings and is making it difficult to get to sleep. I've been in bed over an hr now and no luck.

My bump has dropped too. It's all seeing so close! I've been yryingcto decide all day on what colour curtains to have. I need a set for downstairs and a set for my sons room. My son has changed the qall he wants his bed on which makes it easier for us actually.
Floor is din looks stunning just been skirting board beading and curtains then the furniture going back and a new coffee table. Can't do that until Sunday. So Friday we will hopefully finish stripping sons room then sat we will look at carpets. We've decided to be lazy and not line the walls just paint them they are pretty smooth bar one tiny area of cracks which is perfect for posters hahaha

Are we all decorating and moving because we are nesting lol. I nested all work with my son lol not at home alts it was my parents house.
It's bonus month this month too which should help with all this choas. I can't wait to vac my new floor! Oh crap need the sofas recoloured too may just get a couple of throws lol

Its my last week at work this week so over the weekend and next week i can start nesting if ny spd will do one lol

Cant believe baby puts on half a pound a week now aswell!

How much weight has everyone put on if you know? Ive put on a stone and a half so far!! Probably all the cakes lol

It's my last week next week! Can't wait to finish and get everything all sorted and up together!

I'll be interested to see what my bump is measuring at my next MW appointment in 2 weeks. It was measuring much smaller before, although baby is only a bit smaller than average. Not sure if I'll need any more growth scans but I would like a better idea of what her weight might be!

I can't believe some of us are so close to the end now!!!

Hi all! Hope you're all doing OK. I've started nesting now and sorting the house which feels really good :) nikki - I've also put on 1.5 stones so far.

I was supposed to go for my 28 week midwife app. yesterday, but she was awol and didn't let anyone know! This is the second time this has happened to me and now it's a long drive to the next closet midwife and my car is broken down! We've been looking for an independent midwife bit even they seem hard to come by at the moment. Feeling a bit lost with it all so I've ordered some bits- blood pressure monitor, blood glucose testing kit, urinalysis strips etc so I can keep an eye on myself for the time being and do what the midwives would do anyway. Then hopefully we will find one soon.

Xx
