It does sound like he's being a bit selfish. I don't understand men. I never realised just how lucky I've been since hearing all your stories! I love having a househusband.
Sorry missed loads of messages. Thanks snowbee, sounds like I should of heard by now.
Becsy, I would go mad if my OH said that. It's hard with a newborn, even more so when you have other children too xx
Yeah we've had Hv already and again on Thursday. They've changed the system since I had my other 2 and they want to see us loads! I'm thinking of declining some visits because it just seems totally excessive and its a pain having to wait in for them.
Becsy, sounds like he could do with a good kick up the bum to get him to pull his weight! I've alway said after paternity leave I am totally responsible at night time but I often throw a baby/toddler at hubby the second he walks in from work and he is quite happy for me to do that. He knows how hard it is and is always desperate to get back to work after a day looking after all the kids haha xx
If I go the whole two weeks overdue and it comes to induction, can you ask for a cesarean rather than induction? I just can't get my head around it but I'd rather have an elective than an emergency. Xx
This is what I've been looking into since my due date. I've been reading about all of the pros and cons of induction vs c section. I don't want to end up being induced for days, then needing an epidural and c section at the end of it all! I thought you could have a c section whenever you wanted to. You could have had one on your due date if you wanted. Anyway, I'll not be doing anything until 42 weeks, if that's how long it takes.
She's 186g away from birth weight but if she keeps going like this then hopefully we'll be back to birth weight by next weigh in.
I'm still bf her aswell as the formula so she's got the best of both worlds and so do I. We were out today and she started getting hungry. It took ages for her bottle to cool so I sat in the middle of B&M giving her a bf while we waited for it to cool.
My health visitor said she would come whenever I liked, so one of my visits I had after birth was optional as I wanted to see how much he had put on (and I don't want to have to take him to an inconvenient location and pay for parking to find out, so requested a home visit). She seems nice and helpful.
The trace looks OK so far. My BP and pulse were a bit high. She's going to have a look up there after the trace to see if she can see what's going on lol! Then who knows :/ xx
Just remembered you had a sweep recently. I bled so much after my sweep. For days afterwards bright red. But I got told it was normal as long as it wasn't soaking a pad.
Well I've just soaked a pad so I'm starting to worry. They told me bright red blood isn't normal after a sweep? I swear it can be so different between counties! Another lady has just come in who is bleeding more than me so all the midwives are busy. They said mine could be an ectropian which is what Leigh had wasn't it. I'm not having any contractions on the monitor. I've just done a wee sample and it's positive for protein but it's almost red with blood so no wonder! Xx
Nah I was bright red and quiet a lot (remember how I had to waddle to the supermarket and buy a pad it was like a period almost) my consultant did it to me and told me it was normal. As she had "caused trauma to my cervix" but you're in the best place x
So they've had a look and they don't want me to go home - they want to induce me but I'm not dilated at all so it's unlikely to work. This is my worst nightmare
