May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

Yeah, not all shows and films can be downloaded, but some can be. I think in the app you and go to the menu and select downloadable. It's only been a feature for a couple of months. I also have Amazon Prime, which you can do that with all prime films and TV shows. It's handy.

Yeah, I'm struggling to get comfortable these days. I'm not sleeping well at all at night. What I would give to have that reclining chair I sat in yesterday. I seriously would sleep in it.

Ooh I have prime too. Will see what to download. Thanks :) xx

I didn't have to stay in the waiting room, I was seated in the day room while waiting for the second lot of bloods. I would have been really uncomfortable having to sit in the waiting room.

I've just eaten mayonnaise and realised I never stopped when pregnant. Do you think it's ok?

Shop bought is fine as it's pasteurised. I think it's home made stuff you have to be careful with.

I just sat about and thought about stuff. I'm usually a big reader and I did take a book with me but since I've been pregnant I've been unable to concentrate on reading for some bizarre reason. I don't have a smart phone so that ruled that out. My blood results are still all perfect. Yesterday I ate a huge amount of cake at the funeral and tested after that and was 6.1, so well under the limit. I'm really not convinced I have a problem but I can't get anyone who is willing to discuss it.

Ffs I had a shower tonight and the wretched shower tray has broken. So now we don't have a blooming usable shower. Not helpful. Not sure what I'm going to do about it either, we have this builder coming to do our heating in March but I'm not sure we can wait that long without a shower... Wondering what I can bodge myself...

Hopefully I can go in the dayroom Emily. They must realise it would be uncomfortable in the waiting room when heavily pregnant.
Snowbee, I can't really concentrate on books either, it's weird as I love reading xx

You could start writing a list of things for you, baby and hubby for your hospital bag? That might occupy a few minutes?

That's an idea. Think I might download bridget jones baby to watch as keep meaning to watch it but never have time. I would have to try not to laugh out loud though xx

Yeah I wanted to see it at cinema but never got round to it xx

The last 2 nights ive felt really sick and had really bad stomach pains :( i seem fine in the day it just starts at night!

I love that film! You will really struggle to not laugh quietly. I'm also a big reader, but I struggle to concentrate now, too. It also seems to put me to sleep.

Bath helped lol just wrote my birth plan to show my midwife on tuesday im going to go with the flow alot but a few things i wanted to make sure were on there. Is anyone else bothering?

Oh maybe it's not a good one to download then :)
I am not bothering with birth plan as such. Will just write about the vitamin k and that I had a haemorrhage after having my son. I am open to anything with the birth, I don't know if I will want pain relief or not so will go with the flow xx

I will write a few bits and bobs probably but ive not bothered too much in the past. They know what I want really and as I will be at home there's not really the option of pain relief so I don't need to write stuff like that. I don't know what to do re. Injection to deliver placenta. With my first I didn't have it and then 10 days later heamorrhaged because I had retained products...then the second time I had the injection but my cervix closed on my placenta and it took them ages to get it out! Not sure which way is best for me so will maybe just let the midwives decide at the time. X

Yeah all i put was about pain relief i have to be monitored because ive had 2 c sections so just said i want to be able to use the pool and as mobile as possible etc and that partner wants to cut the cord just general stuff really

All the reading I've done, which is a lot since this is my first, is to try and just go with the flow. So that's what I'm planning on doing. If available on the day, I want to try for a water birth, and I'll make it clear that that is my first choice. Should there not be a birthing room available with a pool, then I'll be happy with a room in the birthing centre without one. The only pain relief I'm open to is gas and air. However, I know anything can happen and will trust the midwives. That has been the number one recurring advice I've seen given- 'Trust your midwife.' I will try when it comes to pushing so hopefully I don't tear, or at least keep it minimal. If a c-section is recommended, then I'll listen and move ahead with that. I don't want to be set on one thing as I want to keep the stress at bay as much as possible. For me, just having the knowledge of the various ways my labour can go is important so I'm as prepared as I can be.

im the same as you Kabuk, i want to feel and be aware of everything that is happening, so im opting for water birth and gas and air. i am just going to try and stay calm and listen to the midwives, they know what they are doing and im going to follow their advice/ orders on what to do, to avoid tearing etc.

I have no clue so I'm just going to try and keep an open mind and see what happens. I assume this is something my midwife will discuss at one of my appointments. I would prefer to avoid a section as it would be really inconvenient afterwards but if needed then I will have to lump it!

I'm having some weird pains lowish down across my bump today. Not sure if he is sitting in an uncomfortable place or if he is having a growth spurt. He has done lots of kicking this morning, which is unusual as he is normally quiet in the mornings. Maybe he is finally running out of room in there and finding it difficult to hide!
