***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

Nm congrats missus on ur little girl...

All i do is think about weather i can have thia baby naturally or will it be another section..

Bigbee i got the capsules in Savers. Do u have that? They be with the other vitamins. Tesco have them too. R u sure although they say tablets there not the capsules? Xx

Morning Jessie, the doctor came to see me this morning and talked about trying to move baby, and inducing labour which I've refused due to my experience last time. But they wouldn't do this until I'm 39 weeks anyway, so I've said I want a planned section. I'm looking at 11th may, but they'll discuss the situation daily with me. I'm lucky as there's serveral private rooms on this ward, I was moved within ten minutes of asking!

I was taking EPO Bigbee, but there's no point now! I spent £11 on them too  the capsules are for oral and internal use, I got mine from Holland and Barrett.

Makes sense just to go for the section if they want to wait until then anyway, plus it saves unnecessary stress to you and baby if they tried to move baby.
I thought they'd do it earlier I'm surprised it seems to be new protocol to wait until 39 weeks.
Doctor basically said she'd just check in wih me in about a week so I won't have any new info for a whole now.
Can we have some more labour threads from other full term mummies please to entertain me and Durham? Hope you're all ok.
Anyone else eating enough to feed a family of 5 at the minute?

Congrats NM!!! Such a lovely name :)

When my LO was transverse they said they would section me at 36/37 weeks its crazy how different rules are!

Well ive woken with a LOWWWWW bump! Everyone at the school run commented, eeep!!

Hey ladies just looking some reassurance really. I'm 37+2 today. I've been measuring 1-2 weeks behind for a while and was measuring 35 last week at 36+2 but today I was coming in at 31-32 weeks. 3 different midwives measured and all got the same. They seem to think the baby has dropped right down and the head is fully engaged but obviously it is worrying so I'm booked in with a consultant first thing in the morning to check growth etc. they gave me a quick scan today which showed the head was definitely down and on a quick look all seemed ok with fluid but they are specialists in measuring growth and the rest which is why I have the appointment tmo. Has anyone else had this where they're measuring 5-6 weeks behind? The midwife did her best to reassure me it was the head being far down but obviously I'll still worry x

I havent personally but my friend had (cant remember the correct name) low fluid which made her sit weeks behind and went on to have over an 8lb baby. At least you're being seen tomorrow :) hope all is well x

I'm going home! :yay:

I got called down for a scan this afternoon, baby is still transverse, but my consultant has weighed up the risks and said I can go home for a week. I'll be rescanned on Wednesday with the understanding that if baby is still transverse I will be admitted until my section which is currently planned for 14th May.

I'm in shock, I'd only just got over being told I couldn't go home

Aww lovely news Durham you just be pleased to get back home. 14th May was my mums birthday so o say that's a great day to have a baby hehe x

Nothing new with me, just looking forward to mw app tomorrow to find out where baby is, kicks seems to have switched sides. Ooh and 35 weeks today! (Feel way behind some of you!)

Kra0, did they tell you what the outcome of the visit with the consult maybe? Hopefully it won't come to a c section! Maybe another scan tomorrow? Fingers crossed for you.

Durham, fab news!!!! Pleased for you. Another week at home will be amazing....hopefully it will be longer than a week ;) fingers crossed baby gets bored of being transverse :)

So, I bought raspberry leaf tea, and I really like it :) also bought EPO capsules, but it says "consult your doctor"!!!!!!!

Yesterday mw said that baby was 4/5 engaged, but today he/she felt really high, right under my ribs, so wonder whether they've moved :( not behaving!!!!! :(

Oh Durham that's brilliant news.

Are you not able to ask for a section date? I'd so ask for 15th, so it's 15-05-15. That would make me happy haha.

Elliot you're still ahead of me, (maybe only by a few days but still) :)

Good that you like it bigbee. Ah don't worry about consulting doctor.

Yay! So happy for you Durham!

Tonight I shall be eating my own body weight in chocolate whilst watching one born sat on my ball hoping beyond hope that baby moves into a more acceptable position for my scan tomorrow! Feeling a bit nervous about it!

Hello ladies. Just letting you know we're all home and settled now. Enjoying plenty of cuddles with lily and looking forward to waking up to her in the morning (or every 3-4 hours throughout the night) feeling shattered tonight so going to eat and jump into bed I think xxx

Caseysmummy what fantastic news! So pleased, enjoy your sleepless night at home :)

Monkeynut, been thinking about you today, hoping baby moves for you. What times your scan? Be sure to let us know.

Durham great news enjoy your week at home but take it easy.

Bigbee how can you like RLT!!?? Bleugh it's gross lol.

I have a section date!! Baby will be born on the 8th of may (39+1) if he doesn't decide to show up sooner. It seems very strange knowing the date in advance. So many mixed feelings.

Caseysmummy so glad to hear Lily is home now and doing well.

Durham yay for going home, take it easy.

Monkeynuts hope baby has moved into a good position.

Jessiecat glad to hear you've got a date.

Bigbee I like the raspberry leaf tea too :-)

Tashawink my due date is 15/05/15 although I think she'll cone before then.

Hope everyone's ok. Can't believe I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow. It's gone so quickly!!

Xx

Congrats on full term tomorrow Blueeyes (or in 43 minutes to be precise)

I wonder whic May mummy will be next and will it be induction/section or spontaneous!?

Anyone else having trouble rolling over in bed now?! I can manage about 90 mins on one side before it starts to ache and I need to roll over, but rolling over is just as tricky!

Do any of you second or third time mums have any experience with pethidine? My midwife was singing it's praises at my antenatal class yesterday, but I'd previously ruled it out as I don't like the sound of the side effects.

Also, I don't have a birth/exercise ball. Is it worth getting one now or have I left it too late?

I had pethidine with my first- it made me really spaced out and a bit delirious, I think I had it quite late on in labour and it made my son very sleepy for hours after he was born. Diamorphine is supposed to be much better for baby I think.

I don't think it's too late to get a ball, I only got mine last week and they are supposed to help in early labour too.

Scan at 12.10 today, been awake since 6am despite the opportunity of a lie in today!!
