***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

Congratulations Jen, absolutely gorgeous!!!

I have a query guys, bit tmi but know you wont mind really.
I have had alot of thickish white discharge today and constantly feel like I am 'wet' although everything else seems normal. Has anyone any idea what this is or should I try and contact MW? TIA

Not sure Flosi, I'm a bit like that at the moment but I have thrush again. Could that be it?

Bad news again, I'm staying put. Baby was transverse for the scan. I ended up in tears, but got my private room as a result. They are just going to see me every day and take it as it comes. I miss my little boy so much, but MIL has been sending me photos of him playing in their garden. The scan estimated baby weighs 2.6kg or 5.7lbs at the moment, although I know that's not always accurate. It's got long legs too :)

Awk god Durham thats one cheeky little baby playing with ur emotions... thinking of u n Jessie stuck at the hospital...

Caseysmummy glad to hear little baby lily is thriving! And will b getting home!

Jen congrats he is absolutely beautiful u must b soo soo proud!!...

Do u any of u girls know whens the earliest u can get a sweep?

Oh and flosi i had something similar to this yesterday my discharge has always been quite watery and ive always wore a pad but yday and day before i felt trickles and i was very very wet. I went to fetal assessment unit and they scanned me and done a speculum test and said it was just watery discharge... i still dnt think thats what it was but they sent me home and ive had bh yesterday and today on n off every once n a while

Sorry Durham :( not the news you wanted.

Cers I think it's hospital/area specific from what I've read some do it as soon as you're 40 weeks and some won't even consider it until 41+

Flosi i know you get a lot more discharge in the last few weeks, probably just that? If worried no harm in getting checked though.

Nothing else to report, the opposite bed to me in drama Central! There's a woman in there having a raving argument in the middle of the ward with her partner. She gets induced tomorrow and just told him not to bother coming. He says fine and stormed off. I shouldn't laugh but they are a married mature couple acting like teens
AND they have a 4 year old with them but they have no issues using the f word or calling each other names in front of him :( poor kid.

Oh no Durham, really sorry to hear you have to stay in.

I can't stop worrying about what will happen on Friday at my scan if baby is still transverse- he has usually flipped to a different position by now but seems to be staying put. I'm getting really anxious. I don't see the consultant until Monday so he still has time to move after the scan (unless they try and admit me there and then!) my friend is a midwife and has sent me lots of info and guidelines related to transverse/unstable lie protocols etc and I think (at the moment) I will have no choice but to refuse admission.
This is stressing me out so much and I'm really not a stressy person normally.

Monkeynut (my phone corrects your name to monkey but so if I ever put thy without realising then I apologise in advance lol). Anyway, I would imagine it's more likely that they would admit straight from your scan tbh :( I don't think they'd want to leave you over the weekend but obviously not everyone's lucky enough to have childcare to hand and if you havnt it doesn't leave you many options. Try not to stress over something you can't change. If you have to refuse being admitted just be very careful with yourself and don't be afraid to ring an ambulance at any sign of waters going. It's still unlikely though remember, they're jus covering worst case scenerio but chances of waters going spontaneously at this stage are so slim!
Still another day and a bit for baby to flip, get on your ball, keep your posture correct and spend some time on all fours before your scan, we'll all keep fingers crossed for you cx

Ah I'm so sorry for all these naughty May babies. Crazy that I hadn't really thought about transverse lie babies and now we have 3?

Caseysmummy-so glad you're taking Lily home. Sorry that it also means organising Zara's funeral. Thinking about you. Xx

Jessie-glad your neighbours are keeping you entertained. When I was in hospital (many years ago for an ankle op) I had some interesting characters. Made it more bearable :)

I know tasha it's really rare for babies to be transverse at this stage as well!
How you getting on?

Bigbee and nateves 37 weeks tomorrow!!! Yay!!!! Although it doesn't seem as exciting now that my sons birth has been put in to someone's diary for a set date and time lol. Oh well at least if my body decides to evict him any sooner I won't need to worry too much about him not being ready yet xx

Soooo
Had a baby girl today by csection

Hi ladies. Sorry to see so many of you having issues. Naughty babies!!!
Jen your chunky monkey is so gorgeous!!!!
Caseysmummy it's great news that you are bringing Lily home.
Eeeeeeek 37 weeks tomorrow!!!I can't quite believe it myself. I have started on my EPO regime now. I can't stomach raspberry leaf tea this time round.
Baby is having a bit of a quiet day today though so I'm keeping a close watch xxx

He's head down so it's going well here, pretty sure he's popping in and out of being engaged though (tonight I'm getting lots of cervix shooters)
Jessie-when are you booked for a section?

Congratulations Jen! Such an amazing size and a gorgeous little man!

Congratulations Nm!! Looking forward to seeing pictures!

Natevs-I hate RLT but I will do it in hoping that it's going to help :)

Cannot believe these babies are all coming out! :)

I'm kinda wishing I'd bought the tablets now. I loved the tea when I was having my little boy but I did have a good tablespoon of honey in each cup so that probably explains why lol.
Congrats nm!Must have posted at the same time. I hope you are feeling well.
Baby also head down here, not engaged but wasn't expecting it to really as daughter never did until I went into labour. Also getting lots of standby cervix pains. But it's all good. I'm ready for it to vacate when it likes now considering we are now chicken pox free and fingers crossed scarlet fever free

Yea they didn't have any tablets when I went otherwise I would have got them! :)

Congratulations NM and beautiful name!take it easy after your section.

Tasha I havnt actually been given date of section, they just said at 39 weeks so by my calculations that's the 7th of May (a lifetime away right now).
Pleased that baby is staying right way for you, my baby missed the notification to get head down now lol.

RLT bleugh! I tried one cup when I was pregnant with my son and couldn't manage another! Though it seems it's impossible for me to birth naturally anyway so wouldn't have done a darn thing anyway!

It's all go on the ward tonight, no chance of sleep :(

Morning ladies

Congrats NM! Another naughty induction baby out via section! Hope you are feeling ok, take your time and rest as much as possible when you can, the recovery is the worst bit x

Sorry you've not slept well Jessie, I'm much better now I'm in a private room, I slept solidly. Nobody bothered me after my obs at 10.30, nobody went into labour and no lights came on :)
My problem is I keep crying  I didn't realise how much I'd pinned my hopes on going home yesterday. I've changed my prospective now and am thinking long term. If anyone mentions I might be able to go I will ignore until I'm outside with my bags! :)

Oh Durham I know how horrible it is to think you're going home and then to be left disheartened! After Ollie I was told I would be discharged that day and then They decided to test his jaundice and he was borderline bad so had to stay in for sun exposure thing I cried. Obviously hours is worse because you're unsure how long.

Jessie I hope you were able to get some sleep.

My little delight isn't feeling well, he woke at 1:30 needing the toilet but didn't make it in time...que having a good clean at that time of the morning! And OMG did he stink...think I can still smell it. The thing with Ollie thou, he stays in bed until I tell him to get out, even when he needs to go toilet which is so annoying. But in the morning he will happily get out of bed. I do tell him he's allowed out of bed to go toilet but he just doesn't. (Hasn't had a wee accident in a very long time thankfully as he always manages to wake me) :)

Durham do you think they'll give you a action date?
I was told id have own room as I'm classed as long stay but unfortunately they only have a couple and they're already occupied with people who are likely to be here a lot longer than me.
I think you're in he right frame of mind now, accept that you're in and get comfy and if anything changes it's just a bonus.

Tasha poor little dude, and poor you. Not want you want at 1.30! xx

Nm, massive congratulations!!! May ladies are popping those babies out right left and centre ;)

I woke up with a rock solid bump this morning. It was really uncomfortable to get out of bed (and I don't normally have a problem with that!) anyone else experience this?

Also, are you ladies taking EPO tablets orally? I've only come across tablets, can't find any capsules for internal use.....
