***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

Is it ranitidine? I can't have that it made me worse with terrible pains for some reason, i have a stomach ulcer and can't have my usual medication while pregnant so living off gaviscon and rennies is hard!!

So excited!!! Today and yesterday I have put blind and curtains up in baby's room and put changing table and cot in tonight!!! Now just got to find some bits for the wall.

Finally getting very excited, very emotional and totally ready for babyH to arrive!!

It has however made me cry, but at least this is for a good reason

Aww Flosi so exciting!!

What's happening with all it induced may mummies? Have we heard anything yet?

Glad you're feeling positive and making progress flosi. Despite in laws lack of enthusiasm or liking for our nursery I love it, still bits to do but I always enjoy being in there and doing things.

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, had a few little pregnancy niggles and on midwives advice have started my maternity leave today (last day at work was supposed to be this Friday)

Caseysmummy lovely to hear from you, and great to hear Lily is doing so well and feeding well. Such lovely photos on the Facebook page. Glad to hear you are doing well physically too, emotionally Will take time, I can't even imagine how you must feel. You are often in my thoughts.

Jessiecat hope all is going well, a month in hospital is such a long time.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I had midwife today and she told me baby is now engaged.

Xx

Thanks mayflower, it's s good size room which hopefully will mean it can be a good play space too. Got this cloud shelf today which j think will go on the darker wall by the changing unit

Got it cheap because the box was damaged! The shelf was fine :)

So far OH had a toothbrush I'm packing for him haha will stick a t-shirt in and a few bits. Snacks will be what he wants as he's a bit rubbish and doesn't function if hungry, gets weak and shaky so need him well fed!

Sephorah, don't worry - you will be in great hands. And good luck. Keep us updated! Look on the bright side, you will have your baby in a very short time :)

Elliott, the nursery looks lovely ;)

Blueeyes, enjoy your maternity! Put your feet up and chill out.

I've bought that cocoonababy today! Have debated for weeks, but decided to go for it. Hopefully the baby likes it. Should be here tomorrow...

Does anyone know, what does MW check at the 37 week appointment? Is it just the usual? I've got mine tomorrow...

Jessie, at least you now know your dates, and can be mentally prepared for your stay.

Also, re OH's bags... Why are you all packing it for them? I wouldn't even dream of that... He's got a pair of hands, can do it himself!

Ha I never packed a bag for OH the first time round and definitely won't this time round. But will encourage him to take some energy drinks and a magazine or something.

Caseysmummy - so lovely seeing pictures! Hope you're getting all the help you need.

I went in for reduced movements today (hadn't felt him all morning 6:30-11 when I called). Got there and checked at 12pm they heard heartbeat straightaway and then I had to wait for monitorin. Whilst waiting he started moving. Couldn't believe it. But I am so relieved all is fine. They like to make us worry.
I finally have a midwife appointment tomorrow feels like forever. Will finally get to know his position (pretty sure he is head down but not engaged)

Regarding stuff for OH - I'm only thinking about it because he'll have a few bits in my bag rather than his own bag

Hope you're all doing well. I've not had much internet connection at the hospital so I've struggled to keep up.

So, after 2 failed propess' baby baker will finally be coming into the world later on this morning via section! So excited to meet our chunk!

I will update you all when he's here :)

Any tips for recovery from section hugely appreciated! Xx

Aww good luck Jen xxx (sorry no advice as a first timer but I'm sure others will)

You ladies are waaaay too organised! Mine will be doing his bag himself.

Jen, can't wait to hear an update. Good luck! Bet you're extremely excited!!! Xxxx

Take it slowly. Let people help you and don't be afraid to ask for help. It's major surgery even others don't think that. Big pants and soft top trousers!

Aww jen this will be the end of ur journey and u will have ur baby in ur arms

I was a c section mummy with my first and i would say take it as easy as u can!.. i tried to be like super woman and do everthong didnt really consider it was major surgery!

Also pain relief take as much as they give u to get through it i did that and the pain was managable xx

Good luck jen! Not long now! Elliot- are they crazy?! That nursery is BEAUTIFUL!! :)
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the gorgeous day. Seeing my midwife this morning for 38 week check :) for the first time now I'm on the home stretch I think I may miss the little man being in there! I am ready to get back to normal but I think I'll look back and be sad its over! Excited today though to meet him sooooon!!
