***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

I'm so rubbish at doing my pelvic floors! Need to do it and strengthen them!

I really don't want to be at work :( I am so uncomfortable, I ache everywhere and the only place I can get comfortable is when I am laying down. And I can hardly do that at work. It feels like they're expecting so much of me at the moment too.

I feel the same mayflower, not slept very well last 3 nights and then yesterday got myself in a right state because I had started putting a list together of things we will need, but discovered I really don't have a clue what we need or what is essential or just gimmicks to get you to spend money. Oh came home to find me in floods of tears!

Think I may just have a day at home and see if I can sleep, feeling drained and useless at the moment

Morning ladies

Glad you enjoyed the antenatal class Orion, that's an awful lot of pelvic floor exercises! It's so hard to remember to do them.
Mayflower- I never took dummies to hospital, they advise not to use them to start with if you're trying to establish breastfeeding. You might want to pack a couple of muslins though, perfect for mopping up those first projectiles!

I'm still feeling sniffly today and trying to decide what to do. I usually take Blake to toddler group on a Thursday, but it starts at 9:30 and I really don't feel like going! But if we don't go somewhere he will get bored  I ordered him a bubble machine at the weekend which is due to arrive today, if that comes I'll be saved lol!

Button, no you shouldn't have less movement at all but over the last few weeks I have noticed that the movements aren't as powerful as they've run out of space. I think that's true with any position though.

I have a head wedged right up in to my ribs at the minute, very uncomfortable. Although the breathing think is very worrying (I often think il suffocate lol) the silver lining with a transverse lie is that theres nothing in your pelvis so you shouldnt need to wee as much lol. Over the last few weeks im actually going all night! small things..

Morning ladies, im already having a bad day. My house is a mess, I feel so grumpy and stressed as I have no money to get past few bits, im waiting around to hear back from payroll as she was just sorting through everything forme so I suppose that's something but I don't want to get my hopes up. I need to know when they're going to pay me by today soi can borrow the money for one bill for tomorrow but would like to know when I can give the person the money back as I hate having to borrow. I've been on their case everyday. There due to ring me back at any time. My heads constantly ticking over what I still have to get for babies, which is not much but I feel like im running out of time. Sorry for moaning but just need to vent somewhere as im sure my little boy doesn't need or want to hear it. Going to try and get some jobs done before I take him to nursery after lunch. Hopefully will take my mind off things.
Glad you enjoyed your antenatal classes orion!
Hope you ladies who are feeling uncomfortable get some relief soon!
Xxc

Morning.

Hoping those suffering geting some relief soon and casey hope your get things sorted soon!

28 weeks today for me! Which i am really happy about but i just keep get panicky about things going wrong, i think it's just proving how much OH keeps me right and I need him to come back!!

Oh dear. Just got back from my 31wk appointment and fundal height isn't what they expected. So I'm being sent for a scan - not sure when. Gone from 90 to about 75 percentile.

Well think pay is finally sorted it will go in either today or tomorrow which is great and took a bit of pressure off. But ended up arguing with my 4 year old about mixing his play doh colours up and we both ended up in tears. I overreacted which I think was due to everything building up and hormones but we sorted it outin the end. It's not his fault and feel really guilty so we had some cuddles and a chat and told him I was sorry!

Oh orion I hope all is okay. It could just be the way baby was lying or positioned hopefully bit it's good that they're sending you fora scan to check hun. Xxx

Glad your pay is sorted

I'm nervous but keep telling myself 30cm at 31 weeks is still a good measurement. It just hasn't followed the line.

Hope everyone is ok who is suffering with aches and pains, and illness.

Orion hope all is well when you have the scan. I don't know much about fundal measurements but think that the scan measurements are much more reliable.

Jessiecat 30 weeks already, it's flying isn't it. Can't believe I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow!

I had NCT antenatal class last night, third one I've been to now. It was really good, we talked about stages of labour, forceps and ventouse deliveries, what you need in your hospital bag and what you need for mum and baby for first few weeks, and also an NCT volunteer came in to tell us what was happening in our local NCT group xx

Has the same midwife measured you each time? Eveything I've read says it can vary so easily, but at least they're going to scan you to make sure everything is ok.

Is anyone doing perineum massage? I read its good to do from 30 weeks to help reduce the risk of tearing/being. If you are, or have in previous pregnancies what oil do you use? Have you got a good link on how to do it? Seem to find different things online, do you do it yourself or partner? Sorry for all the questions, just sometimes trying to find things online can be a minefield as to which advice is best/right. Thanks xx

No - my 28 week check up was pretty rushed as they fit me in last minute during my GTT. It wasn't my usual midwife. I'm surprised I'm being scanned for what is literally 1cm below expected, but I guess it's better safe than sorry.

I've read olive oil is good from 34 weeks. So much different info online though.

Vitamin E oil(from the capsules) is best but you can jusy use some water based lube etc. I will be doing this as tearing is a worry for me(i had an episiotomy last time) so worry its not as strong down there and with wanting a homebirth tearing would be bad!

My midwife was really cross that I was measuring two weeks ahead and no one had done anything about it, but when she measured me she thought I was spot on for 28 weeks. I had a growth scan anyway and baby was measuring perfectly for 28 weeks.

Hello ladies ;)

Blueeyes, glad you're enjoying the NCT classes. We've got ours in 3 weeks. Looking forward to that.

Orion, don't panic, if I recall correctly you were the one who was trying to reassure me two weeks ago when I said I was measuring ahead. It's good that they are sending you for a scan. I wasn't offered one.

My MW said that they'd be concerned if the measurement was out by 3 cm.

I am absolutely knackered this week. Technical reviews all week, not so fun when you have to sit and actually think all day long. Very tiring. Looking forward to the weekend. Mheh.

Ohhhh nooooo, Next have got their summer stuff out! There's lots of very cute baby clothes. I must resist lol
