Anyone know whether consultant will offer/be able to give me a sweep? I have a consultant appointment because of previous section on Tuesday and was just wondering. I'm not massively hoping for one I just want to know if I'm slightly dilated or anything

Tasha she said she was hopeful that the sweep would get things moving but I have just felt so miserable since I came home and have done nothing but cry.
There's no harm in asking for a sweep lovely see what they say xxx

Tashawink - I had my first sweep last week when I went to my consultant appointment. Wasn't even expecting it.

Elliott - thinking og you, hope you're ok.

So, I've been in the assessment unit this afternoon for reduced movements again and as a result I am being induced tomorrow afternoon. I am fed up of back pain and ready to meet our little girl, but on the other hand feel sad as I really didn't want to be induced. I am terrified xx

Just called hospital and cried at them as its feeling like one step forward two steps back they've suggested warm bath and rest. Still paranoid things will just stop totally but she says that won't happen

Hang in there Elliot, you're doing so well. You're on the home stretch now, I know you're tired and in pain but every hour is an hour closer to havin baby in your arms. Keep going Hun, you've waited 9 months for his and you're within reaching distance now x

I have been having period like pains in my back for nearly 2 hours. They come and go. Timing them about 5 mins apart lasting betwewn 40-60 seconds. Not sure if this is it. I hope so! X

Sounds promising wishing my labours both started with backpain which slowly regulated itself with tightening of bump keep timing them and see if they get closer.

Elliott your doing well you'll get there like jessie said every pain is one closer to having baby.

Blueeyes you'll be fine hun. You should get to meet you little one very soon

Month hopping. Congratulations Mayflower and sound like a couple of you are getting there. I am a June mummy who is now definately going to be a May mummy now as they will definately be inducing me between now and 37 weeks which is Monday as I have pre-eclampsia. Sucks as am in hospital until then but best place for me and baby.

Pain is getting stronger but not closer together. Unsure what to do. Going to try abath and then ring the birth centre.
