***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

Blueeyes my son was back to back, my labour wasn't too bad with him. It was 16 hours and I spent 6 in hospital before he was born. I found labour more painful with my twins even the early stages but they weren't engaged at all so not sure if that was the reason and with there being 2 that could also be the reason. Babies can turn during labour though so wouldn't worry hun I was booked in for induction with my son at 40+13 which I thought was a long wait but I had him by 40+9 hun. Hopefully you go into labour soon xxx

So after that sweep today i went a big walk just in and was soaking but didnt know if it may have been leaking waters discharge or sweat. So i have put a pad on and clean pants n that n feel like i can feel stuff leaking out. Any of u girla have leaky waters how did it feel?

My waters never broke with any of my babies but with the last I found when I arrived at hospital felt like id leaked abit of wee and when midwife checked she said I was 5cm and my waters were leaking. So don't expect a big gush it doesn't always go that way. I still needed them breaking 4 hours later but was definitely them leaking earlier on. Good luck. xx

Thank you all for sharing your back to back experience, hopefully she will turn back into the right position, and hopefully labour will start soon xx

It felt like i was "leaking" and I'd just been to the toilet Aswel and thought oh I can't have finished! But when she checked she said definate waters! I was also 5cm dilated, i was 39 weeks. Had him that afternoon. :)

Oh and two of mine were back to back labours too. Didn't make them any more difficult than the one that wasn't I don't think! ! It can mean labour on all fours or kneeling up on the back of the bed is better than lying on the bed. I've had 3 long labours, the 3rd I did half of it at home in comfort and plodding around until it became unbearable. Good luck to you all. X c

Thanks very much sugar for sharing your experiences. Getting slight pains atm doubt im leaking but who knows. Just a waiting game

It's definately a waiting game! Keep active and sit and rock side to side on a ball if you have one. Good luck may mummies x

Cers - I hope this is it for you!
Mayflower- when is your next appointment?
*I think* if your waters trickle out its most likely hind waters and not the main ones as I've heard a lot of people still needing their waters popped?

I've been busy today, baby has moved lower as his bum is now 1-2inches above my belly button rather than in my ribs. :) he'll probably move back up when I'm asleep though :)

Hi all. Just back from hospital. My labour went all the way from the midwife birth pool, through induction, to a c-section.

But baby Jamie was born on the 17th May at around 7:30pm weighing just a fraction under 9lbs.

I am so sore and wish I could do more for him, but got a tough recovery of my own to deal with too. Love being a mummy. Hate being a patient! :)

Congratulations orion. Make sure you get plenty of rest and give yourself time to heal hun. Also jeep on top of your painkillers. Glad baby Jamie is here though! Xxx

Orion thats great news on the arrival of baby Jamie! Shame about the tough time you had to get him here safely! :) im sure he will make it all worth it already. Take care x

Congratulations Orion! Hope for a quick recovery, I remember having to ban my brother from seeing me because it hurt to laugh! :)

Orion, massive congratulations!!! Being a mam is great, isn't!!

Mayflower, since you've not posted for a few hours, I take it things are progressing? It's probably a bit late, but they did a test on me in the hospital to check whether it was my waters or not. Similar to a smear test, a swab basically. That told them that it was waters not discharge. Anyway, good luck!!!

Sorry everyone, not much time to catch up with posts. Baby doesn't think anyone needs to sleep at night, so we've been trying to catch up in the day. No one actually told me that it's common for newborns not to sleep at night in the first few nights/week. No sleep at all. He was on my boob from 11pm to 6am last night. Non stop. That was fun...

Awesome mayflower!!! Good luck. Hope it progresses quickly!
