Congratulations Hayley! Loving all the baby news, it's making me seriously broody now lol!

Appointment went ok. Measuring 38 weeks, took measurement with me practically sitting up though! Head still engaged but only saw that she has written 2/5 afterwards. She also said that I was "well with no signs of labour yet" - without asking if I was well or had any signs! She admitted that she forgot to do bloods last time do I had them done too. Be interesting to see what my iron levels are now. Had to remind her that I'd had presentation scan! She really was on top form today!

I'm still getting lots of movement from baby - going crazy! Very tired now and bump finally dropping and feeling heavy! Hoping baby arrives next week sometime! x

2/5ths is brilliant hun, baby is nearly fully engaged! It sounds odd, but the lower the number, the more engaged they are. The week before I had my son, I was 3/5ths, so hopefully not long for you now.

I've been having BH off and on all evening. Dared to google and see if it was a good sign, but seems labour could still be a while off yet. I really want him to come out soon, but on the other hand I'd like him to stay in longer as both my hubby and my son have a nasty cold at the moment. Really don't want a poorly newborn.

Thanks for this Hun, I did wonder. The time before last when she said 4/5 she said 'so that's 4/5 of baby's head in your pelvis. So I thought 2/5 engaged would be less, a few people told me last time that it depends whether she meant engaged or palpable. I'm going with what you've said! Haha.

Ooh how exciting - I hope baby stays in for you a bit longer then so the colds can leave! We still need baby to arrive next week onwards. Though the plumber is here today so we should be back in our house by Friday night. Can't wait to do yours and Sinead's labour threads! Eeeeek! Time is flying! xx

Congrats on your arrival to the world though!!!! It must be amazing.

I've been on abort baby missions since 37 weeks and I'm 39 tomorrow with no sign despite baby being 4/5ths at 34, then 3/5ths at 36 and surprisingly 1/5th at 38 I hoped I was in for some action but it appears she just likes having her head in my pelvis lol....

Any more signs for you ladies?

I don't have anyone's number for a labour thread yet either x

I've just felt baby drop the last few days Hun, bit of lower back and period pain but that's it really. Despite baby's head being in pelvis my SPD is better, though I have been doing less! X

Aww congrats Hayley she's gawjus well done . Do t think my baby has dropped at all yet I have awfull pains in my foof like a burning feeling in public area , all my apps just say ceph which is head down lol , all I can feel is bum back legs n I think it's all. Baby hardly any waters , movements are so uncomfy , had a headache since yesterday evening hands and feet are swollen but think that's tHe weather and Carpel tunnel , baby wasn't as active yesterday as usual so going to speak to mw this afternoon at my app and I also had regular tightenings yesterday for around 4 hours so reckon my body is gearing up for the real deal hope so I'm seriously fed up but sweep booked for Monday and I want this baby before the 22nd which is my sons 21st in fact I want baby. Out and recovered a bit so we can go for a family meal to celebrate his bd lol come on baby , so long as it's not the 15th that's one of tHe dates of my mcs xx

Hayley she's gorgeous! Congratulations!
Nothing much happening here, woke up a couple of times early this morning with very mild period cramps which lasted a minute or so, and got a bit excited but no more sign of anything so think it was just a random thing. Was dreaming a midwife came to see me and was having a good poke around and just kept telling me there weren't any signs of the baby engaging or being ready to come out so I could relax for a while and I was really crabby as I wanted her to say it was gearing up for exit!! X

Vic I think if you've gone from 4/5 last time to 2/5 this time then things are definitely progressing! How exciting! I'm not due to see the midwife again until next week so hopefully I'm more engaged by then too. I have a very heavy feeling down below and have been getting some stabbing pains at the top of my thighs which I think is caused by baby lying or pressing on a nerve.

Thanks Gayle! Yes I was 4/5 at 34 weeks, then unknown at 36 (after scan I was told head is far down in pelvis!) then 2/5 yesterday. So that's looking good! Ooh it's all very exciting and scary now ladies! Or is it just me?! Haha. Think all my friends and family are more excited - they don't have to have the baby!!!

Eakk Hayley baby Heidi is just too cute! Glad everything seems to be moving in the right direction for everyone. I keep getting niggles in the evening but then wake up to nothing. Started getting lots of people checking in with me now, everyone very excited. Like u say though Vic, they don't have to do the labour bit, lol!! Xx

Congratulations Hayley she is gorgeous . 37 weeks today happy 37 weeks to you to jazzy! Feel like the next 3 weeks are going to go really slow!

Baby was only 'at brim' at my midwife appt but I know it doesn't mean so much with subsequent preg. I now don't have another midwife appt till 39 weeks which I thought was weird as I thought they started weekly from 37. I maybe won't even need it if baby comes early. Xxx

My midwife notes say baby was 'brim' at 34 weeks, but she write nothing in my notes at 36 weeks....so goodness knows what's going on!

Ladies if it's any help I had an appointment at 37 baby was free and again at 39 this time baby was 3/5, baby came free again after that and was totally free at 10am Friday, and born less than 2 hours later lol they can literally engage at any time x

Still free here but I expected that anyways as it's my 7th lol so all was perfect at mw , she has for me down for a sweep next Friday if Mondays doesn't work and also told me to ask consultant should I also have one Wednesday gd job I'm
Not birth weeks about beeing violated haha but plan for tonight is tea hot bath sex and hope that gets something moving maybe lose my plug or something lol xx

I've just been for a long walk down the rivers with oh. And feel shattered. Sex tonight again too but so far no shows just aches and pains. 39 week appt tommorow do you think they will book sweep for Thursday next week as they only ever come to my village on Thursdays and that is my weekly count day.

I found a diagram showing how the engaged measurements work. Should make better sense now lol.

I think baby has dropped today as I've had these funny tickling sensations right on my cervix and bump looks lower and less stuck out. I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night feeling a real contraction, but didn't have another one so am wondering if I actually just dreamt it lol. It's funny though as I recognised the feeling instantly, so at least I can now remember what the real thing is like.

Baby has been very quiet today and I can barely feel his movements. I very nearly called the labour ward, but half an hour laying on my side and drinking a pint of icy water seemed to get him going. I suspect it's his new position, but I'm finding it alarming that I really have to sit still and focus to notice him.

Hubby and son still have stinkers of colds. Can't understand why I only have a bit of congestion, I always catch colds!
