* * * * * May 2014 Mummies * * * * *

Tell you what since my visit to the osteopath I have felt so much better in my joints! I feel walking is easier, in/out of bed is no problem, been sleeping really well (despite having to swap sides regularly) the only pain I get is if I have to kneel on all fours or hoovering! I think the tubi grip was making things worse by making me more aware of my posture and stuff , cost me £40 for the hour but I think it was worth it, got another appointment in a week.
Baby is a wriggler but seems to of been head up when ever I have a feel. I can see his heel/foot being scraped down my right side! But then he throws in a nudge somewhere else! Maybe he sprouted a few extra limbs since 21 weeks! X

Hi all. Completely exhausted today so haven't made it into work and have declared a lazy day instead. Feel a bit bad but need to think of myself more!! I'm sure everyone else's baby moves a lot more than mine! She moves enough for me to know she's ok but there's no way I can determine body parts or anything! I've had really bad thrush and mw was was ok to take canestan pessary but not a tablet. But the bullet and did it sat eve and it seems to be a bit better (fingers crossed) still a bit sore but nowhere near as bad. I think a day not moving too much will help that too lol...

Sorry to hear your spd is so bad Vic :( we're nearly there :) xxxx

We all seem to be suffering a bit right now! I think we all should treat ourselves to something nice!

Really excited as I passed my pram order to OH's mum yesterday so it's all in the pipeline now. She insists on buying the matching changing bag and other bits too, so feeling thoroughly spoilt.

Had a really nice day out with my mum and sister yesterday, went to Jamie's Italian for a very long lunch. Also I had my first ever Mother's Day present! I melted! :)

It's Def getting tougher now.. I'm so tired today and feeling some aches and pains down my side as he seems to b enjoying squashing into the smallest space ever... I'm also still struggling wi this fluid /pressure n my ear that ent consultant this is pregnancy related it wud just drive u mad the constant popping and dulled hearing :( moan over lol xx

Well what a mothers day I had!
Woke up at 3am ish Sunday morning with a severe pain in my section scar, then didn't feel him move.
At 11am I went to triage at labour and delivery, for a ctg due to reduced movements. Got on the monitor and his heartrate was very quick, then they checked my pulse and it was up at a constant 130bpm.
Eventually baby calmed down, but I still had my fast rate and pain so they carried out an ecg which was fine and a blood test.
My blood test showed that I had raised white blood cells so they started me on antibiotics and kept me in for observation. Had another ctg and blood test on Sunday night.
This morning I had a repeat ctg which was perfect and yet another blood test. Was then taken to have a scan. Scan seemed to be fine, he's got a big head which is also head down (Yay)but Dr said the scan can't rule out a scar issue.
So now, we're up to date. I'm still on painkillers and need another ctg later. They think my infection is possibly kidneys and the pain is most likely scar adhesions. The good news is baby is doing ok and I'm not bleeding internally.
Once the pain is under control which will hopefully be this evening, they'll let me out. I'll be glad because my daughter is with my sister, and I miss her terribly.
Either way, I'm going to be on bed rest. No lifting, no pushing anything heavy etc...not sure what the lo will make of that and I don't have much in the way of help at all as my parents are still on holiday for another week.
So that's that, not the mothers day I had planned and I'm now desperate to get home. I got next to no sleep last night as on a ward full of ladies with newborns.

Oh dear frankie, sorry to hear what a rubbish weekend you've had! At least bubba is ok :) fx you'll be home tonight xxx

Aww Frankie! Sorry you had to go through that. Hopefully you can have Mother's Day another day! Be careful and try to take it easy xx

Angelone I feel your annoyance with the ear pressure. Had a pulse in one of mine this morning and I'm sick of the general pressure in my head and ears. Hope it gets better soon for you.

Aww Cherry - take it easy today. You deserve a day off! You're so right - you need to think of yourself more at this time xx

Oh sent me flowers on Mother's Day too saying I love you lots and can't wait to meet you in a few weeks. Really made me smile.

Already regretting commuting to work til the 37 weeks lol!!! I don't think I realised how Uncomfy and tired and sleep deprived I would feel!!! Think I'm going to fall asleep on bus!!! My bump has gone all hard and stiff.

Still it sounds like I have it easy compared to a few of you x

I get this, it's insanely annoying! I can often feel my pulse throbbing in different parts of my body too and I worry that my blood pressure has gone sky high or something!

The bump is good for sitting books on too, as long as they're not too heavy lol.

Can you all believe that in just a few short hours we'll be able to say our babies are coming next month! So exciting, the end is finally in sight!

Mine is just the same lol, everything gets a good kicking. The only exception is if daddy puts his hand on my bump - then he goes really still!

When not pregnant, I use sudafed tablets (the pseudoephedrine ones you can only get over the counter), but they're not allowed during pregnancy and I wouldn't feel comfortable taking a systemic vasoconstrictor anyway.

I have to use Vicks sinex nasal spray instead. It's not recommended either, but at least it's applied locally and only a tiny amount enters the bloodstream. I limit myself to one squirt in my right nostril (it's the only one that gets blocked lol) every 8-12 hours.

Make sure you don't let OH spoil your day out this time. He seriously owes it to you. xxx
