* * * * * May 2014 Mummies * * * * *

Just come back from physio and apparently I have spd and ilio sacral pain, it's gonna get worse and there's nothing that can be done (what I expected), she doesn't think I'll be able to continue work for long.
Apparently there aren't many first time mums that are seen with this, and my hyper-extensive joints haven't helped, along with back muscles that are over compensating for the decreased use of the abdominals.
Deary me!
Advice: get a ball and bounce/roll, try and get tummy muscles working better. When trying for number two make sure that abs are strong as possible!

Blah. Xx

I've just been looking at the bump buddies thread and was wondering if anyone left in here wanted to be mine? I was going to ask Vic30, but I see you've already got one hun.

Or if anyone's in need of someone to start their labour thread? :)

Aww I'd love to be a bump buddy to one of you more regular posters in May mummies ( that reminds me...I must tell Sinead to get over to this thread more ;)

I'm very happy to have two bump buddies! X

Aww, thanks hun. I just want to make sure I've got someone to do my labour thread and I'd like to do the same for someone else. We are only one day apart though, so we might be labour buddies as well lol!

Did you want to keep in touch elsewhere, like facebook?

I'll happily do your labour thread if I'm not in labour :) it's still quite unlikely! Hmm I may eat my words! Hehe. I'm Victoria Watson on Facebook. I can pm you my number if you want to use that for the labour thread - or I'll give it to you in a private msg on Facebook xx

Sorry that's not helpful!!!! Baby brain strikes again! My picture is of two stunning ladies ;) (me being the left on lol) and we're wearing pink hats! (Photo booth at a party!) and it'll say underneath Durham uni Birmingham uni xx

I'll friend request you in a minute hun. I'm Rebecca Blackman, you'll see my 4D scan as my profile pic. Message me your number on facebook and I'll text you when I'm in labour lol.

Oh jazzy :( sorry to read this. I don't know what the second bit is but I was told the same (ball) for SPD. It's awful she said it'll get worse :( you never know Hun. I'm presuming she was talking about the ilio sacral pain xx

I haven't got a bump buddy but everyone ignored me on that thread :( xx

What's involved in being a bump buddy? I've not got one either so we could be each other's?

Aww... That's sad cherrybelly. :( I'd be happy to help, though I see you've had an offer from irishemma now. :)

Irishemma, you just post a labour thread for your buddy when their baby is on the way and keep in touch with them via text or facebook so you can update everyone on here. :)

Vic30 has kindly offered to do my labour thread, but I'm still free to do one for someone else if needed. :)

It's exciting all this talk about labour threads and what not :) , I was greedy I have 2 lol but me Lucy and kath were in ttc journals for a long time together so when we all got Bfp within a couple weeks of each other it just seems the next step for us was to be bump buddies hehe we just need to figure out who's doing enosis labour thread lol xx

I was thinking jo, in theory with you being due first and not being a first timer, kath being induced at 39 weeks and me probably hanging on for bloody weeks, it's most likely we'll have our babies in that order, so how about kath does yours, I do kaths, and you do mine (by which point hopefully you'll be well settled at home with your little one!). Does that sound sensible? Xx

Hey ladies, not been ignoring the bump buddy requests etc, hope you all have one, I've got CARNAT doing my labour thread when the time comes, she's not expecting but we have both been through a lot and she has helped me through some tough times so it seemed only fair. Although I think she might have her hands full with me lol x

Is anyone else's nausea back?? I feel like I did in the first tri, it's not as bad I don't think though, hope it's not here to stay for the next 12 lol x

Oh no Louj80, yeah mine has come back a bit, very similar to what it was in tri 1, hope it doesn't get you down too much, have you tried eating little and often? X

I've been sick again a few times and more nauseous. I've found that smaller meals more often helps. I think everything is getting so squashed inside that if I eat too much I'm ill (but I'm constantly ravenous!)

I have heart burn in the evenings, which is what I had in tri 1! I'm so hungry too, but in the evenings I feel extra round and whale like and like there isn't any room inside me for food! Which makes me sad! Lol. Xx

I haven't got the sickness back but that's exactly how I feel on an evening Jazzy! I have heartburn on and off all day most days so I'm trying to work out if it's just random or whether I'm eating something specific that's triggering it or making it worse. Some days I don't have it at all, but they're rare! Actually, this morning my bump is hardly there! It'll be huge again by tonight! A few mouthfuls of food and I just feel full and bloated. I keep eating though because I know I need it! :) x

Sorry I have been neglecting the forum recently - just super busy and tired. Hope everyone is well and excited for birth :) not long now!

Cant believe I will be 31 weeks on Sunday ahhhhhhhh! X
