Went for my midwife appt this afternoon ... im 3 days over .. she tried a sweep but couldnt reach cervix ... she has engaged from last tue from 4/5 to 2/5 at least shes heading in the right direction lol ... another wait till Saturday to see if they can sweep ... apparently I have posterior cervix x

Morning all!

Couldn't sleep last night. Have given up and got up now! It's gonna be a long day..

Absolutely no signs of this baby coming whatsoever!

Mumma, you can ask for whatever you like. Some mw will and some won't - a lot want to wait until 41w but it's always worth an ask - good luck x

Morning! Or is it? I have no idea anymore! Still no sleep and this rash is so much worse, it's everywhere apart from my face! Even last night when my eyes were so sleepy, I fell asleep for a minute and woke to find myself itching something that wasn't even itchy when I fell asleep. Happened over and over again. It's behind my ears and the back of my knees too. Urgh! 4 nights with hardly any sleep. Second sweep today - just hope it's early when she rings and is on her way so I can maybe try to sleep during the day instead. I didn't sign up for this

Oh Vic I really feel for you. I hope sweep works for you today and your able to rest a bit.

Can't believe I'm due today!!! I've tried not to focus on today too much but I just can't believe how quick these last 9 months have gone.

Had a rubbish night sleep as felt so sick but got midwife today and although I don't think she will I'm going to try and convince her to see whats going on down there if anything . Hopefully all these on off contractions will have got something started. Xxxx

Yeah Vic, it sounds really awful! I really think they should just induce you already!! Hopefully the midwife will sort something for you today.

My mw is so blummin busy that I haven't got my 40w appointment until Friday and then I have my 41w on Tuesday lol. I'm so exhausted and need to finish my uni work today.

Ps, if my phone goes off one more time, I'm turning it off until I go into labour!! X

Hey ladies sorry I've been AWOL but it's been pretty mad and was in hospital a gd few days and takes a while to get I to life with a new baby again but I've posted my birth story please don't read if ur still to give birth it's pretty traumatic have a read after ur babies are born , just hated to pop by and wish everyone either gd luck if ur still waiting to give birth and congrats to those who have given birth love to you all and thnk you for all the support you have all given me through my pregnancy xxxx

Looks like it's not just me not sleeping! I'm so sleepy now I really think I could get to sleep and not itch but I daren't as midwife is due to ring mobile before they arrive. Just yeah I knew when argh!

Yes induce me already! I'm presuming that's the only way this is going to happen now anyway so they may as well! I'm hoping I've dilated a bit more.

I saw the Dr yesterday again Jazzy - a different one and he just said he couldn't give me anything else for it, he actually laughed when I said how itchy it was and that I wasn't sleeping, as if he wasn't taking it seriously. I asked him what he thought it is and he said it could be an allergy or get this, something to do with the pregnancy!!!! You think? I specifically asked whether it's a change in hormones (which I've read and heard it is) and can happen just before you give birth and go when you give birth but he just smirked and said itching is caused by a variety of reasons. I knew I couldn't really get anything else for it - I've got two creams and it doesn't respond to piriton, is worse at night so I'm basically stuffed! I couldn't get an appt with the female doctor. She's the only decent one in terms of listening and having ideas. I had to have my blood tested again for OC but he gave me the results from OC test last Friday and said something was high, oh but that's probably just pregnancy. I'm sorry but surely that's the point! I give up!

In other news, unless I was hallucinating last night, my right boob was really itchy (has been spared the rash!) so I looked at it and a little bit of milk was there! Happened twice!! So that's something!

Oh Vic what a nitemare... I saw they Dr's etc just don't seem to care of its nothing serious we just hav to struggle on feeling lik poop... All we can hope for is some movement n the labour front... I was having sort of period/diahorrea type crappy feelings this morning don't no which lol.. But we've stopped so um not a happy bunny due date is tomoro so first ever the thing to my due date and it sucks x

My mother in law asks hubby every time she speaks to him if anything has happened yet and he points out to her each time (with less and less patience as time goes on!) that we'd probably have mentioned it if we'd just given birth to their first grandchild...! Doesn't matter how many times he says 'I'll let you know if anything happens' we still have to go through the 'any news?' conversation! x

Oh Cherry, mumma, Loz - I totally agree! I've had four weeks of this! I know some of you ladies use the 'no signs of baby' but 'no signs' has become the most annoying thing at the moment! I have so many texts asking this. What does it mean? Do they want to know about my period cramps, back ache, plug? Should I said, oh yes, there's the head?!!!! Sorry but it's so annoying! It's bad enough that it started two weeks before due date with where's this baby? Etc! Argh! I didn't do this to other people when they were pregnant so surely it's not just ignorance. I have more non mummy friends than mummy ones which doesn't help. The mummy friends send text like 'thinking of you so close to your due date' or just kisses or something. It has eased off a bit with this itchy rash but one said the day after my sweep, any more cm dilated? I had to laugh!!! X

My mum text me last night asking if I was watching bgt (I wasn't so didn't reply straight away). When I replied about 15 mins later she replied "ooh I just text your sister saying I thought you were in labour cos I hadn't heard from you!" I replied with "yeah sorry I had the baby but forgot to tell you.." That shut her up lol x
