*** march 2015 mummys to be ***

Podpie: baby might just surprise you! I went into labour on my own at 40 + 12, 3 hours before they were due to induce you. Stay positive, I know it's hard, but bubba will come when they're ready xx

I've been updating the page with all the LO's that have been born so far, so I have...

Comsogirl7
Nightwolf
Chrissiecool
GF91
Lulu1983
Mamamoo

Is that everyone so far? my memory is terrible sorry and my eyes are hanging out of my head between Jake and Oliver keeping me very busy lol

Sarah90 had a boy x

Thanks girls - so cool to know that the baby is now properly ready!

Chrissie, Rhonda also had her baby :)

I'm a bit worried that I'm coming down with yet another cold! I have a sore throat :( this would be so bad! The last days of my maternity on my own would be ruined, and the thought of going into labour while being unwell terrifies me :-/

Been doing lots of cleaning today. Hand and knees scrubbing the kitchen. Off for dinner tonight at an asian buffet....lots of different curries to try lol

Rachel: I had vindaloo the other night to no avail. Definitely just chancing my arm though, as I've got 9 days to go 'til due date. Xx

Oooh I feel so fat ladies. I have just seen me from behind..... In the mirror..... Oh my I have shelves for hips. Please tell me it'll drop off as soon as princess arrives!!!

Im using the curries as an excuse to pig out on a buffet haha

Girls I'm so upset :( my OH's boss told him that basically if he doesn't go abroad Mon-Tue, then he can kiss goodbye to his paternity leave. As he hasn't been at the company for long enough, they don't have to give it to him, but they promised two weeks of paid paternity. Now they say he has to go or no paternity leave, and most likely he will loose his job too. He is still on 6 months probation period, so it won't be difficult to sack him.

This is crap!! How can they treat people like this? I'm full term for god's sake, and they don't care :(

Don't worry you're not fat!!

I was shocked to look in the mirror the other night and see I have BACK FAT!!! Gross! Hoping it'll disappear when baby comes lol!

i.love that's dreadful! What a disgusting way to treat staff... I have no advice I'm afraid but definitely feel for you :(

Thanks Podpie :( I don't really know what to do. I guess he should go, but I'm so angry, I just hate the idea of giving up now! I just hate them at the moment :(

I think you'd be in a worse situation if he didn't go but I understand your reservations. :( Just hope baby holds on tight in there for a bit longer.

Big hugs!

Oh I.love that's just disgraceful!! I can't imagine how you must feel, I hate in this current economic climate that companies can just steamroller over people and not give a toss. I have no answers, but huge hugs and happy vibes winging there way to you xx

I just don't think he can stay in this job now anyway. I couldn't after such a conversation with my boss! And who knows, they might ask him to go somewhere again at 38 weeks! Or next day after our son is born. Quite likely...

Oh god iLove that's discraceful. I wish there was something you could do. I'm sure he will be lookiing around for other jobs pronto. I don't think I could stand for a company with that little respect. Poor you. I bet your hubbie is upset too. Xxx

ILove the link you posted about probability of spontaneous labour for given dates puts you at 4-5% chance of spontaneous labour on Monday/ Tuesday so hopefully that makes your feel a bit better that is not statiscially likely to happen when hubby away but I would still not be happy about it. Xxxx

Tiggy thanks I also checked that website :) the only thing is that I think the probability is rather different with OC. I read somewhere that 1/10 women with OC gives birth before 36 weeks! That includes inductions though and probably depends on the severity of the condition. Hopefully I can hang on longer. Last time I made it to over 40 weeks after all. Xx

Gosh ilove that is a horrible way to treat staff! It sounds like he can't really refuse to go.

So I went to the show (which wasn't fantastic -maybe because I had no buying to do!) and waters didn't go :-( but I got to see a baby first aid demonstration which was great and a couple of goodie bags and it killed a couple of hours so it was worth going! Had free tickets as well which made it even sweeter.

Baby hasn't stopped moving today, hope he is trying to fight his way out. Mum thinks bump has dropped even more and looking down I think it is a bit smaller. She has just left now to go home for the weekend, back again Monday so as much as I want the wee fella to come I almost want to wait till she is back now!
Xx

Yes I guess if they are not planning induction till 39 weeks then your safe with the space fm stats which exclude inductions and just talking about spontaneous labour. Unless your having more consultant reviews before then?

Fingers crossed. X
