Lol podpie...
Still havent managed to grab my choc orange since I love mentioned it.. but il def have to treat myself to one.
Rhonda icant believe a week already. That has flew. .

Congrats GF!

Tiggy did u get my PM?
I wish we had home birth assessments. I wish there was someone I could talk to about it. All I've been told is to contact the bleep holder when in labour! Really helpful. ..

I've been up since 5, am I the only one suffering from heartburn at night? I always get it when I go to bed, last night I didn't but woke up at 2am with it really bad. Grrrrr. Now I'm sitting on the sofa, thinking of Terry's chocolate orange, whilst my cats are running round like loonatics because they think it's feeding time! Xx

Have you tried having a glass of milk before bed Sarah? I read somewhere that it might help, if not what about Rennies on your bedside?
Trust me to wake up in time for work when I'm not even at work today! Lol, trying to get back to sleep but just nothing. Xx

Lol I have got back in to bed now but I'm wide awake. Yep have been having milk before bed, sometimes if I wake up with it I go and sit on the sofa with some milk as well. It does seem to make it better but not always. I would love to go back to sleep now but a parcel is coming today and I have no idea when it's coming. Grrrrr.
We have made the big decision today to completely forget the whole house move buying/selling until after Easter now. Part of me is really upset that we will lose the house we like, but at the same time I can't say the agents are taking us seriously now and waiting 7 months for this property without them putting in one single offer on something is a joke. I want to be completely baby focused whenever this LO decides to make an appearance, so sod the house for now it will have to wait :) x

Yes I've got your PM and sent you your email, if you haven't recieved PM me again! There are 11 of us on the fb group. Any more additions today?

If you wanna chat about the home birth then Im happy to share, I've done a lot of reading and talking to people about it. But it I know what you mean if you don't have a helpful or encouraging midwife it just makes things more difficult. X

I've been getting bad heartburn at night it's like someone put acid in my throat and chest and its making me be sick :( hopefully it don't last long x

Sarah my heartburn has come back in the last few days at night. It sucks big time but hopefully we don't have long to go now xx

Sarah I have a bottle of Gaviscon by my bed which I swig on if I wake up in the night with heartburn. It's great!
Have you tried it?xx

Rachy no I havent. I'm quite surprised as I remember my sister in her pregnancy and she always had Gaviscon. I've not ever taken anything for heartburn as only started getting it the past few weeks. Is it just the original one? I shall go out and buy some today :). P.s does this really mean we have a baby with a full head of hair? Lol xx

Thanks tiggy - requested to join now.
Sarah u want gavisvon advance or peptac. Make sure you stay sitting up for a little while after swigging it. It works by forming an alginate raft on top of your stomach contents to prevent acid reflux (heartburn) and this obviously won't happen if you are lying down x

Thank you. I will go out looking. Ah th thought of lying down with it is horrible. I have to get up and go sit on the sofa because I just can't get back to sleep :( xx

I didn't try it until the last few weeks when I started to get it.
I didn't even eat anything spicy or large yesterday and I woke up in the night like "Aaarrrrgghhh my throat is on fire!"

Personally I recommened gaviscon original aniseed flavour. They do a "double action" one which is mint flavour and I find it doesn't work and the mint flavour doesn't soothe but aggregates it more. I now realise why it was on special offer in every shop!! I buy the huge bottle because the small one only lasts me a few days! I use it as soon as I feel it coming on be it middle of the night or day. Also if I'm going to have a spicy meal I will have it before and after. It's not what the directions say but it works for me xx

I definitely don't envy you poor ladies with the heartburn. I think I've been lucky to escape it, although I get a lot of indigestion that makes me throw up into my mouth at night. Also not pleasant but it seems to have subsided the last week or so, touch wood.

I'm exhausted this morning. Woke up briefly when OH left for work and then drifted back to sleep until 10, but I haven't actually moved yet lol. The need to pee is getting bigger than the need to stay in bed though now So I think it's time to get up!

Just 8 days til due date for me now. It's getting so close and exciting, my anxieties about labour and birth seem to have disappeared now and I'm just so ready to get on with it and get it done haha!! Anybody else getting impatient?

Hello ladies,

I also vote for Gaviscone - used to work for me when I had heartburn! Hate the feeling.

I'm off to see a consultant in a few hours. My blood test wasn't great - again one number is down, but the other one is up. Will see what the consultant says. Apparently we will need to 'come up with a plan'. I guess this means that we will be discussing induction...

Good luck I.love.
Thanks Rachy im going out to invest.
Podpie im getting really impatient, 11 days for me. Have had really bad period pains on and off today. Have arranged to meet my work friends for an hour on Saturday if nothing has happened by then. Was also planning a trip with OH to Ikea, I don't know if it's a good idea or not yet lol. My friends just had her little one, she went 12 days over and the day she was to be induced it all started naturally. 7lb 8oz and shes gorgeous. I feel like everyone is having their babies, makes me want to meet mine xx

Good luck for your appointment Olya :)
If it makes you feel better Sarah and Podpie, by the time I get to my due date, you will most definitely have your little bundles already :) I feel like I have forever!
I had to have a blood test this morning and I mentioned that I've bruised really badly the past 3 I had. So the health care assistant decided she would try to help it not bruise by pressing as hard as she could when she took the needle out. She said it might hurt and oh my goodness it did lol. Seems to have worked though! My OH and I are going out shopping in a bit for my hospital bag stuff, so that should be fun.
Hope you all have nice days ladies :) xxxx

TMI POST!!**

I've been constipated for about three days now (which has been a fairly regular thing this pregnancy), but today we've got plumbers in replacing internal and external piping going to our bath. And my bowels have decided they're ready to move. Praying they piss off for some lunch soon, or I'm going to have to throw them out of the bathroom so I can get in

It can't get any better than this. Xx
