*** march 2015 mummys to be ***

Anyone else think it's totally unacceptable for my OH to tell me he doesn't want a baby? He seems to think he has every right to say it because he's been saying it since we found out we're pregnant and it was my decision to keep the baby...
Doesn't matter how many times I tell him how upsetting it is, he won't stop.

He's been very supportive and helpful the last few months and says he's excited about the baby coming and things...then he goes and says he doesn't even want a baby. I don't know if he's doing it to upset me or what, but either way it's horrible.

We had a huge argument this morning and I told him that he's behaving like hes better than me (His response "I am"), so I said if he thinks he's better than me why is he with me and he said because you're pregnant and I'm stuck with you. So I told him fine, its over. Now we're sitting in opposite ends of the house, he's tried speaking to me since but I want nothing to do with him at the moment. He said he wants to be friends again (his way of non-apologising) and I told him i don't want to be friends.

I really don't think I'm overreacting...

We have friends coming over in a matter of hours to celebrate the baby yet I honestly just feel like running away.

If jay had said that to me - He'd be out the door quicker than anything.
Totally unacceptable thing to say, and if that's honestly how he feels he should man up and admit it.
Take your time and think about what he's said- maybe he's just being a dickhead, but don't roll over and just take it! Xxx

Omg podpie I don't know how you are coping with this. Absolutely horrible for him to be doing this to you, especially when you are so close to the end. In one respect he is being honest, but he did obviously make a decision at the beginning to stick by you even though it wasn't what he wanted and he should be supporting you still.
I wouldn't do anything rash but you do need to seriously think if you are better off in or out of the relationship.
Hopefully your friends will be able to cheer you up a bit. And help you see things clearly - I think you need to tell him to give you some space today at least.

Chin up and stay strong. X

Oh Podpie :( these are horrible things to say!! I hope he didn't mean any of it (it can't be that he did, right?), but in any case he shouldn't have said such stuff. Especially now!! Even if he is staying with you only because you are pregnant (hopefully not!) why on earth would he say this when you are almost full term?? If a guy makes such a decision, he shouldn't say this out loud! Ever!!

Stay strong hun. Hope you guys can sort it out somehow...

Thanks ladies. My friends are all here and have really cheered me up.

He did say he didn't mean it but I won't forgive him just yet. I know he's stressed and anxious but there's no need to take it out on me that way.

Well get through it I'm sure. He loves me and this baby and he just needs to watch his mouth. I'll keep him sweating for a while longer...

Glad your friends cheered you up Podpie :)
I am so thoroughly irritated! I've been at work all day and come home to an utter mess. My in laws are working on the house but they've had all day to do it, but they're still here. I literally wanted to come home and have some dinner and put my feet up. Instead I'm stuck upstairs with my cat and my OH is in a mood. Just what I needed after today :(

Oh dear cakey. How long til mat leave? I'd love a cat to cuddlr up to. Our dog doesn't really do cuddles, more like jumps all over me while I try and pat him haha.

To make today even more interesting for me, I've just been to the loo and have fairly damp knickknocks. Definitely not discharge but not as much as I'd expect waters to be. I know they can leak slowly bit by bit so I've put a pad in to see if any more comes. OH is convinced I'm now in labour so I've told him I'm definitely not and to stop being silly. If I get more leakage and no pains ill ring midwife in the morning!

Podpie glad you are feeling happier now. Exciting about the waters! Keep us posted x

Awww Podpie sorry to hear about your OH giving you a lot of grief. I too would be very upset if my oh said those type of things to me. I hope your ok and you feel that it's not a genuine concern of his (even though he shouldn't say things in times of anger or stress)

I would def monitor your discharge/ fluid, I believe increased and watery type discharge is quite common in late pregnancy so could be that. I always have to wear a liner because otherwise I'm constantly wet!

Pregnancy is so glam!

One more week at work and I just cannot wait! Definitely keep an eye on your discharge and keep us updated :) xxx

Still loosing my plug. Didn't loose much over the afternoon but after I got out the bath nor come away. Babies got her bum sticking right out just above my belly button making it really difficult to eat my dinner! Chopped a load of fresh pineapple earlier so going to have that for my pudding xxx

I thought I had my waters go as my knickers were practically soaked. Sadly not. Just lots of discharge lol. Glamourous....haha

Why does no one mention the unglamorous parts?
I'm still waiting for the "glow"!! With 12 days until d day I'm not sure it's gonna happen! Lol! Xxx

I haven't been on here for ages but thought I'd do a quick update, am 39w today but not looking imminent.

I had twinges all Wednesday night then was examined on Thursday and was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced, midwife did a sweep which gave me lots of cramps all day but they've since stopped and not even a mild twinge now.

I've lost my plug but after a bit of googling it says that being dilated, effaced and plug gone doesn't mean a thing, it could be tomorrow or 3 weeks :(

Our midwifes guidelines have changed and now with 2nd time Mom's they don't see you between 38-41 weeks so I'm booked in for another sweep a week on weds when I'll be 4 days late and she'll arrange an induction.

I do have a feeling she'll arrive this Thursday though.

Hello Ladies :)

Nice to read all the updates, huge hugs to those of you that are having a hard time though. I hope things work out for you podpie, it can be such an emotional time xx

Exciting to read about all these pre labour symptoms!

We have moved into our new cottage and its been such a busy weekend but so lovely to be here at last. Its so quiet, unlike the last place!

Tomorrow I have my final (I think) growth scan and consultant appointment at the hospital, I'm hoping they will give me an induction date as it will be 3 weeks tomorrow. Then tuesday I have to go back in for another iron infusion, the last one made such a difference! It even stopped my restless legs which I now think was to do with lack of iron, I cannot tell you how amazing it is not to be pacing up and down all night because of it!

Has anyone made the FB page yet? I'm afraid I wouldnt know where to start with one!

Has anyone had a lot of pressure in their pelvis? I've had a lot of pressure the past few days but tonight it's really intense. I feel so uncomfortable and I know that can be normal but I'm not sure, it feels like the baby is just pushing down all he can and it's a bit painful, like a sharp pain rather than period pain. I know everyone is different but this feels pretty ouchy xxx

Rubydoo what's 'effaced'?

I'm going to assemble sll my labour bag bits tomorrow and get my tens ready. It will all be packed in carrier bags as I have no weekend bags! ! Xx

SpinSugar, when your cervix thins out (it starts about an inch think, and ends up paper thin) that's known as effacing. Xx

Getting towards end of the day and my baby seems to have been a bit sleepy today. What gets them moving?! Xxx.

Cakey I have lots of pressure when I'm walking about. Today we went to Tesco and M&S and I literally was waddling back to the car! I felt like something was going to drop anytime lol. I have been suffering the past 2 days with major backache. Had really bad pain yesterday to the point when I went to move I was like ouuuchhhhhhhh!! Well my other halfs face was a picture he actually thought it was the start of labour. It made me laugh so much I cried! Bless him. Feeling a lot better after a bath everyday.
2 weeks today, oh my I don't think I will last it I go 2 weeks over. The heartburn is horrendous as well :( xx
