Well ladies.... At 1.45 this morning my waters started leaking- contractions every 10-14 minutes lasting 1.5-2 mins.... Just before 6 this morning they went fully (all over my brand new rug ) new contractions stiiiiiiiiiiing like a bitch! Currently waiting for my mum to take my little sister to school and then take me to the hospital! Xxx

Good luck GF! Come on baby lets be havin' ya, mummy's been waiting patiently for long enough now lol.

Nothing interesting happened for me last night but I'm getting more and more niggles by the day and getting pretty uncomfortable so it's all signs that things are at least moving in the right direction.

After some googling I also think I have PEP, polymorphic eruption of pregnancy. I've got a rash spiralling out from my belly button with some hives and it's pretty itchy. Harmless for baby and not too severe though so I think I'll just cope with it til bub arrives! My mum (nurse) says I can use some of the steroid cream I was given a few weeks ago for a rash on my wrist so I might give that a go to see if it eases the itching.

Didn't sleep well last night so I think I'm going to stay in bed a bit longer and see if I drift back off... I bloody love maternity leave lol.

Oh my pupps is awful I hope you don't have it. I had to have high dose steroids and it was so bad I couldn't hold my newborn I nearly got admitted! !

I just dropped off my son to the nursery and am sitting in bed celebrating my first proper day of maternity with a chocolate orange, doing a sudoku and getting ready to have a nap. Bliss!

Cakey I have had that feeling of pressure for me though only lasts while then quits. Iget all excited maybe baby is moving down my pelvis but it must up move again. I dont baby is anywhere near engaging for me yet

The pressure isn't as bad today but still making me feel pretty crappy. I am hoping that it means his head is engaging and that I won't go overdue, but wishful thinking I guess! I could do with some chocolate, OH has been in such a horrid mood and I just want to go back to bed today
Hoping GF has her baby today though, there seems to be a few of us now heading in the right direction xxx

I think second babies tend to spend longer out of engagement than first time babies and some don't engage until literally a couple of hours before labour. So it really doesn't mean much if they are not engaged. First babies will engage a little earlier on the whole! I have moments when baby decides to be so low he or she feels like might fall out!

I'm waiting for lamb tagine to finish cooking! Then off for a play date with a friend whom may have my little boy if needed when in labour!

Might be having my home birth assessment tommorow or Thursday! No idea what they look at or ask! But glad I'm finally getting somewhere with sorting the final arrangements for home birth!

Thanks girls I bought this chocolate orange ages ago, but was keeping it for the first day of my maternity yeah I like to torture myself a little sometimes but now the time has come!

I slept for two hours, got up just in time to pick up my boy from the playgroup. I think I will take us to a cafe now for lunch as a little treat

I've been losing loads of plug this morning more discharge then I've ever seen I'm hoping its a good sign.

I'm so uncomfortable today. No pains just feeling generally unable to move or sit in any comfortable way. I'm getting really fed up now, and I've been quite weepy and pathetic. I'm getting jealous of all these lovely babies being born yet I feel silly at the same time for feeling that way. I know my boy will come when he's ready but I am just so done with being pregnant now lol.

LOVE these updates, soooo exciting

Well I had my last scan this morning and baby is approx 7 and half pound at 35 weeks, so I could be looking at another 10 pounder-he must take after his brother! I got my induction date for 2 weeks time, 16th March at 38 weeks. Its all real and scary now but so exciting!

Tomorrow I go in for my next iron infusion and hopefully thats it no long trips to that hospital until induction day

Awww try not to be too keen about baby coming Podpie it makes the babies stubborn and want to stay cosy! That's what I think anyway!

I'm excited about baby coming but still want more time to prep! Finally I have my midwive coming tommorow to do a home birth assessment! Yay, hopefully I pass.....whatever it is I have to pass!! And my friend has lent me a birth pool so can't wait to have that set up in our birthing room (aka dining room!) have ordered the liner so baby can't come until that arrives!
