*** march 2015 mummys to be ***

Oh Rhonda it sounds like you're in for a rough ride :( hopefully your little boy will make an appearance soon so you don't have to stay in hospital being jabbed and kept awake. Keep us updated :)
My mum and dad are coming over today and bringing the Moses basket with them- I'm so excited, it makes it seem so real! Just got tonnes to do before they get here :( xxx

Also GF91 are you still lurking about? How are you feeling? Xxx

Rhonda it doesn't sound like you are having much fun! I hope you get your sugars under control and baby makes an appearance. Glad you got a little sleep as you will need all your energy for labour. X

I.love, when I was at antenatal the midwife showed us what to do, she said it was also practice for manually expressing. I can't really describe how it's done (im sure there is a YouTube video somewhere!) but she also said its a good way to stimulate nipples etc which is supposed to be a labour trigger which is why I've waited till I finished work. Going to wait a few more days to start using the other triggers as our pram hasn't arrived yet and need car seat before we can get out of hospital!

38 weeks on Monday so reckon we're safe to start encouraging the wee man to come out!

I'm still here- still lurking!! Baby is completely straight down the middle of my tummy now so I look very strange! Bless Jay- he managed to get me an appt this morning with my friend that does reflexology so she's going to try & work some magic today, sweep on Monday hopefully, consultant and more monitoring on Tuesday morning then acupuncture in the afternoon if none of that's worked! All with lots of ball bouncing, raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, chilli prawns ect ect!
We went it for dinner last night- our families where placing bets on what time my waters would go- alas they didn't! I really didn't want to go but it got me out the house & spend some quality time together. Luckily we where in a corner so I could hide my 'ouchy' contraction face! Xxx

Rhonda it's all going on for you! Hopefully you'll get some more answers this morning love! Xxxx

Oh and I love it isn't wasting anything, our bodies are really clever and milk will change according to what baby needs.

Ah GF I've heard good results from reflexology so good luck! Hope it happens soon for you. X

Niknaknoo good luck with encouraging your LO to make an appearance :)
GF91 at least it got you out of the house for a while :) carry on with all the ball bouncing and pineapple eating! Xxx

Aww Rhonda love, sounds like everything is going on, I bet you don't know what to think. Just try and rest where you can lots of books, Internet, puzzles etc to keep your mind occupied and help time go quicker.

Gf sounds like you have a good plan sorted. Hope everything helps for you. Nipple stimulation is also really good to induce labour. I did it with my first and I'm sure it worked. They say you have to do it quite a lot but I did 3x 20 min sessions a day. And I got loads of colostrum out? I threw it away but this time I thknk ill freeze it in ice cubes as its like gold dust for baby. Even if you don't emd up breastfeeding it can be syringed or bottle fed. I won't start until 37 weeks though as I don't want baby too early!

Morning ladies :) Wow so much going on over night! GF I hope you are managing to rest and I hope things kick start for you soon. Rhonda, wow you have had a busy night! I hope you too manage to get some rest today :) xxx

After working myself up into a frenzy last night I decided to phone my level headed sister (who is a dental nurse) and talk to her about my fears ref the blood transfusion/infusion. I think what set these worries off was this midwife on the phone (who was downright rude and couldn't be bothered to explain anything) said they now use this Venofer because it doesn't have so many tachycardia side affects. Of course that made me worry more!

The root of my anxiety comes from losing my mum to breast cancer 8 years ago, and whilst i miss her its not her death that has caused me to be anxious about dying but its what we saw her go through in hospital. its like I know too much if that makes sense. Anyway my sister was plain speaking (i love her for that!) and she said basically if I was to hemorrhage at delivery its far harder to manage than side effects of this transfusion. She is right. And bless her she has offered to look after my children (they are on half term) and take me and pick me up from hospital. So Monday i find out what time I have to be there on Tuesday.

Going to keep myself busy this weekend, nearly packed to moved just little bits to do.

Thinking of all you ladies who are anxiously waiting for arrivals xxx

Happy valentines day ladies. Hope you're all being suitably spoilt! Looks like I missed all the goings on overnight, but I hope you're all ok!

We've had a nice long dog walk this morning and now going to have pancakes for breakfast/lunch and spend the afternoon watching films under the duvet. :)

Niknaknoo ah ok, I know how to manually express :) but sounds like it's way too early for me to do this yet

Awwww, some of u ladies having been having such a hard time of it, sending u all hugzzz, I haven't slept for 2 nights now, this cough feels like its ripped my insides, so sore I just can't lie down and I feel like I'm choking with it, gonna be so tired for tomorrow and so nervous now :( xxx

Aww chrissie good luck for tommorow, hope you get some rest tonight and if not don't worry you can soon get better quality sleep albeit interrupted either baby.

Hubbie is just starting to clear out the nursery and build our two spare rooms that we had been decorating! Can't wait to get things organised.

Have you all had a nice Valentines day? What did you all do? The three of us went out for a late brunch which was lovely. Meant we could away without cooking today! So just chilling this afternoon.

Good luck for tomorrow Chrissie :)
The 3 of us have been spoilt by my parents today! That's all we've really done for Valentine's but we don't really do anything for it anyway. So happy that the nursery is finally coming together. Xxx

I'm in a right grump. OH hasn't got me anything for Valentine's, not even a card. I'made trying not to be upset seen as it's not that important but seeing all the lovely presents and things my friends have been getting on Facebook is making me slightly jealous, and I'm not normally a jealous person at all! I never ask for much but a card isn't too much to expect is it? Especially seen as I got him one. :(

I think my hormones are making it worse. I've been waiting patiently all day to see if he's been waiting to surprise me, but I think this is it now. He's watching the football and I'm being ignored. He's giving the dog more attention than me as usual!

Aww nice to be spoilt cakey!

Sorry your oh hasn't got you a card Podpie. I too would be feeling upset and grumpy. Men just don't get it sometimes. I think if my husband didnt get me anything I would tEll him how upset it makes me and then hope next year it would be different. I'm not a really romantic person but I think it's nice to give and receive a card and maybe a small gift? Hope he understands and makes it up to you. X

Aww Podpie I am feeling similar!
OH came back from work yesterday and actually said to me - is it valentines today? I was like no it's tomorrow, then he said oh crap! He didn't get me a card at Christmas either! The past year or so he really has been slack! I think it's all our house moving stress and his job not being secure, but still a card is a card doesn't take much effort to walk to the shop around the corner. I tried not to let it bother me but last night I had a littl cry when I got in bed lol. He decided to leave me and go motocrossing with his friend today, and then stopped at the BP on the way home and got me roses. He only did it because he opened my card this morning and clearly felt like an idiot knowing he made no effort. I never expect anything, but a card would be nice!! So I've had more attention from my 2 cats than I have him on Valentine's! Never mind, men will be men so I know how your feeling xxxxx

It's rubbish he's made you feel like that PodPie! :(

I've just spent the day having snuggles with my little person! And watching Disney. Can't beat it xx

Glad I'm not the only one and you girls don't think I'm being a brat lol. Now the football is over I've taken control of the TV and I'm going to watch exactly what I want and he can stuff it haha. Currently watching take me out and about to feast on some wine gums!

Are any of you unable to squeeze out a single drop? I face it a really good go yesterday and in the bath today. All I have now is really sore nipples and bruised boobs. Nada :(

Oh Chrissie that's not good :( you need your energy! Hope you can get some sleep tonight...

I really am not bothered about Valentine's Day. My husband got me some tulips, which is perfect. Luckily I didn't get any chocolates - can't face them at the moment.

We just had some friends around, nothing Valentine-themed.

I got results of my next blood test for OC. They check two parameters, and one went slightly down, and the other up by quite a bit :( in 10 days my levels went from 23.3 to 30.2, and 40 is the cutoff point when they will induce. So not very good - if this continues, then I will have to have my boy earlier than I hoped.

The big question is what to do about my parents' trip to another country. It's business and health-related, quite important stuff. They are going to go for two weeks next week, and will still be away when I get to 37 weeks, when I would potentially be induced! They are discussing cancelling it, but it will be a real shame. But it will also be very awkward if they are not here to babysit my boy while I'm in labour :( he can stay with his other grandparents, but he is nowhere as close to them as to my parents, and it will be such a stress for him to stay with someone he doesn't know well :(
