**** June & July 2013 Mummies and Babies ****

I love my maclaren, so easy to put up and down and the extra hood is fantastic for the sun/naps etc . My quinny had been put up in the loft now so this is our main pushchair xx

It's definitely going to be my next big purchase! I love my icandy at the moment but I'm itching for some new wheels lol xxx

Hi ladies .
Anyone's little one walking yet ? Mine isn't , he's one on the 20th. Doing everything I can to encourage him :)

We're going stroller shopping on Sunday, it'll either be a maclaren or zita zee. I'm excited for new wheels too!

BluebBerry my lo was 1 last week and has taken his first steps but he's not walking by himself yet. He's not got the confidence yet and needs to hold your hand or anything solid really. Every day he gets a bit closer and takes a good few steps himself a day. It's a slow process but he'll get there. Is your lo standing on his own? Have you tried using a toy just above his head to get him to move forward? Not much else you can do other than get him to walk holding your hands as much as you can xx

Oh first steps was what I meant To say :) He stands alone , when I hold up a toy he drops to his bum and crawls to get it lol . Thanks x

CR isn't walking confidently but has been taking steps for ages. She's doing more each day, but still seems unsteady at times and prefers crawling as it's faster!

Josh is one now and isn't walking independently or taking any steps on his own. They'll do it in their own time, I was a lazy baby and didn't walk until 16mths! xx

No steps here! Rosie has only just started crawling and has never pulled herself up to standing (just onto knees at mo) but if I were to put her against something stood up she would be able to hold herself up iykwim?!

Think we've got a while to wait before she walks! My only hope is that she is before we get married in feb! Would love her to walk down isle with me! Xx

Emily has been taking wee steps for about a month but still a good bit away from walking independently. She quite happily walks between me and hubby but think she just doesn't have the confidence yet to get up on her own and go! Lol x

Harrisons one now & no independent steps yet either! He can stand on his own for a few seconds but that's it. However he is really good at cruising & walking pushing something along or holding your hands so I think he won't be long x

R is still nowhere near walking Id say. He gets where he wants to be byt is not seeming bothered to stand. He is beginning to but for very short spaces of time. Hes just a wee pudding. Quite fitting that he was born on national pudding day! LOL

Noah turned 1 two days ago, He stepped up a notch this the last week with this walking. For months he was cruising around everything and using his walker, loved walking holding ur hands.. then he stopped doing that for a few weeks and just constantly dropped to his knees!

The last week hes been walking with holding just one of our hands, we have also been sitting opposite eachother and hes taken a step and has also started standing alone without holding on for a few seconds.
ALL VERY EXCITING!!!! only means more bumps on the had lol! xxx

CR walked all the way through from one of the kitchen to the other end of the lounge yesterday but she still prefers to crawl to get about faster. I'm not going to bother with shoes for a while yet! :)

First day back at work for me today. Very strange after 13 months off. Not much has changed, everyone's still moaning about the same things! The bad news is that we are all being made redundant so I'll be out of a job by November. Don't know what I'll do.

My big concern at the moment is his bedtime. It's becoming harder and harder to get him down at night and he's waking loads in the night. I think it's a developmental thing. Anyone else noticed a big change with their los sleep at night since turning 1? It's getting me down. He used to be quite good at self settling but it's just gone to the dogs now. He's very clingy too xx

Kay Kay my little one is 1 in a week and a bits time and he's gone from being a great settler to screaming until we are there. Last week he wouldn't let me out of his sight. He's just got his first tooth through so I was putting it down to that but maybe it isn't.

Just on the topic of teeth ladies as it's his first one I'm a bit clueless to be honest, did your little ones go off their food around the time they got their first teeth through. He's really snotty and last night completely refused his tea which is do unlike him as he's a great eater. I've also noticed for lunch he isn't eating as much as he used to either ??

Sorry your being made redundant Kay Kay! Hopefully it will open a door of new possibilities for you! :-) I started back this week too and found they it's still same shut, different day! But my attitude now is very much get in, get paid, get home to my baby!!

We've not hit that phase yet but I'm sure we will as it sounds common!

Baby biz yes my lo went off food terribly when teething! Had to basically resort back to purées! Xx

Kaykay - so sorry to hear you're being made redundant. Had you been there long? Will you get much redundancy pay? Least you've got a bit of time to look for another job.

Holi - that's my exact attitude with work. After 12mths off it's amazing how little changes. I found out last week a girl who's been there since Feb was saying to someone that I didn't know what I was doing. It's really knocked my confidence as I do find I'm still way off from being fully up to speed and still adapting to being back and being part time. xx

Oh Kay Kay sorry to hear that about your work :( really hope something great is around the corner for you.

CR is now walking a lot more so we are going to get some shoes today.
I'm shattered though and could do with an afternoon alone, but I think Dh would be a bit worried about choosing shoes on his own :)
He's going away again next week but then hopefully travel won't be as frequent. He's been brilliant though, getting up every morning with CR so I can lie in. Can't understand why I feel so tired today.

Really chuffed your oh is back with you robyner! Must be lovely having that extra help when your not use to it! Hope you have lots of nice things planed while he's back!

And I hope you get CR some lovely shoes! Take lots of photos! First pair of big girl shoes is quiet a milestone (in my eyes!) xx

Sorry that stupid girl made such an insensitive comment! You do know what your doing, we just need a refreshing! Before I went off on mat leave I had been doing my area of work for 4 years - I've come back and I've been told to ask Julie if I have any questions as she is the 'expert' - she's been doing it 4 months! Luckily I've not forgotten how to do the majority, but it still wound me up! And before I left I was seen as a very good worker, always got bonuses for going above and beyond, taking on extra - now I feel like I'm back at the bottom iykwim? And I'm not sure if I have the motivation to get back to where I was! X

Well yesterday at church, CR walked everywhere for about an hour and a half, I was shattered trying to keep up with her! We definitely made the right decision to get shoes yesterday afternoon!
It's so lovely, clarks take a Polaroid and put it on a card with the date and shoe size.
CR was so tired though so the picture is really funny, with her dummy in, holding a bunch of keys to try and stop her crying!
There wasn't tons of choice because she is so petite but we got some lovely ones.
What a fab milestone to reach!
